A-Access Limousine Service

Do NOT use this company!!! They are over-​priced, under-​deliver, shoddy buses and atrocious customer service!!! We rented their 42-​person passenger party bus (nearly $ 1,000 in total for 4 hours!) and while we ended up having a nice time, it was in spite of the company and only because we have great understanding friends. I wish we had gone with a different company! Below is a copy of the email that I sent them complaining about the service to which they responded that they would only give 10% of a future rental, but adamantly refused to offer us any sort of refund — or even any real apology — on the time wasted due to their breach of contract. Do NOT use this company!!!

I am writing to you to express disappointment and frustration related to our party bus experience on Friday, 15 March. While the driver was great and we had an enjoyable time overall, we had the following issues, which left unresolved will leave a sour taste in our mouth for the service provided by your company and will prevent us from recommending your company to our friends and family:
— First, I had specifically asked about the music on the bus. I was told that I needed only to bring my iPod and that a connection would be available. However, when we boarded the bus, the cord was missing. The driver told us that the cord is normally there. He made a phone call to your company and he was told that the cord had been stolen and that we were out of luck. Luckily, one of our friends had a spare cord in his car that he ran to get, but the expectation was that the cord would be provided by your company. Clearly, your company knew ahead of time that the cord had previously been stolen and failed to inform us in advance. In addition, as the driver made this phone call and our friend ran out to grab his cord, this ate into our very precious, expensive time. As a result, we did not leave until after 7:30pm. As a result, we were behind the whole evening and our friends who were waiting for us at Lincoln Memorial were very cold and we wasted precious time during our birthday. In addition, it started the evening out very stressfully.
— Second, the air conditioning either did not work or was woefully insufficient. My friends were extremely hot and it was very uncomfortable on the bus.
— Third, we received no tour of the bus or explanation of how the bathroom worked. It took quite awhile for us to figure out how to lock the door, and subsequently, how to have light in the bathroom. Plus, the bathroom door did not stay on it’s hinge, letting out wafts of unpleasant toilet air into the bus.
Overall, I am rather disappointed in the service provided by your company. I look forward to hearing a response to this email with suggested remedies.

I’m not much for writing reviews, but I felt compelled to warn others based on my encounter with Access Limousine. Simply put, beware of this company. Along with the one other reviewer to-​date, I had a very poor experience but for very different reasons.
I called Access Limousine last week to arrange for a limo for my wedding later this year. They quoted me $ 600 for their 18-​person Escalade. After calling around to a few other companies, I found this was one of the better rates and called back to book. I provided my credit card information and was told I would receive an email confirmation with some documentation that I needed to fill out and return.
When I didn’t receive the documentation I called back Monday morning to follow-​up. I asked for the lady I had been working with and was transferred to her. She looked me up and then put me on hold for a few minutes — when she came back, she told me that she had misquoted me — the real rate was $ 950. Now I usually believe in the benefit of the doubt and understand that mistakes happen, but I asked to speak with a manager as I felt they should honor the rate they quoted — especially given the size of the discrepancy.
Well, the manager obviously saw otherwise. And she couldn’t even muster a polite attitude to express her disagreement. I understand that call center agents deal with a lot of disgruntled people, so I always try to be respectful. But she clearly didn’t care about what I had to say. She curtly pointed out that, since there was no signed contract, they were not obligated to do anything. And she didn’t really care that someone quoted me otherwise and had taken my card information already (no, they thankfully hadn’t charged anything to it). She just continued to cut me off to reiterate the same point.
Of course, she is right — they are not obligated to do anything. But the least I can do is warn you that there’s a chance you’ll get the bait-​and-​switch if you choose to do business with Access Limousine. Plenty of other options for your limo services in the DC area — I highly recommend you consider those other choices given my experience and that of the other reviewer to-​date.

Be the hero and save your event by NOT using Access Limousine! My company, based in Herndon, VA, recently booked a 24 passenger Access mini bus for a one day round trip to Busch Gardens. I went with Access because one of my coworkers had suggested it as a «friend of a friend» recommendation. From the beginning I had some small communication issues, but I chalked it up as a minor inconvenience that I often come across when booking corporate events. That is, until the day of our event and all the surprises that came with their «stellar» service. I’m copying and pasting my email that was sent to our contact following our event as it better explains our overall experience. The correspondence was never returned (shocker).

My company recently utilized your services on June 26^th. We rented a 24 passenger mini bus for a day-​trip from Herndon to Busch Gardens. Our group had quite a frustrating experience. I was urged to review your company online by several passengers and thought it was only fair to address the problem with you before leaving unfavorable feedback on web sites and forums.
We called and confirmed our booking after doing some research on your company’s web site and finding it met our transportation needs. The web site very clearly states that the 24 passenger mini bus amenities include: «Complete Audio & Visual Systems, TV, VCR, CD player, AM FM Stereo.» After sending in our payment information I spoke with you and was informed that no VCR or DVD players were available in the mini buses. I asked twice for clarification since the web site clearly states otherwise (I have attached a screen capture of the description). When making the final booking arrangements, I asked for explanation on when the driver would arrive at the pick up site and how that differed from the time we had listed as our departure time. We wanted to leave Herndon at 8:00 am and were assured the bus driver would arrive 15 minutes early at 7:45 am.
The day of our trip, I received several calls from concerned employees that the bus had not arrived at the stated time. I personally arrived at the pick up location after getting ice at 8:00 am and was on the phone to your company when the driver, Tony Vincent, arrived. This would not have been a big concern by itself, however, the driver had absolutely no idea where (or what) Busch Gardens was and had no clue on how to get there. He had a GPS, but was clueless on how to operate it and pull up the park’s location. One of my coworkers had to program the GPS and fill the driver in on the best driving route. While we were waiting another coworker asked the driver why we were told there was no VCR or DVD player on the bus when there was. The driver didn’t know what he was talking about. My coworker ended up pulling down the TV screen, running to his car for a test DVD, and teaching the driver how to use the DVD player. We rounded up the group and set off to experience a new dissatisfaction. The actual drive was an absolutely harrowing experience and included high speeds, many bumps, and short stops.
At the end of the day, Tony was waiting at the designated pick up location at the correct time. We left right at 7:00 pm and headed home. We assumed after the directions débâcle that morning– not to mention the several hour wait for us to board for the return trip– that the driver would have pulled up the correct directions for our return. It wasn’t until we were back on I-​95 that he shouted over his shoulder and asked how to get back to our office building. A coworker in the front seat grabbed his GPS and routed us back to Herndon. The drive is approximately 3 hours one way. About 2 ½ hours in we realized that we were no longer on I-​95 and had gotten off the highway (I don’t know why) onto an unfamiliar road. Right around the time passengers started asking where we were, the driver shouted over his shoulder and asked the same thing. He had gotten off on Rt. 1 (before Woodbridge) and then turned onto Prince William Pkwy with no idea where he was going. The same coworker that had been helping the driver with the GPS ended up giving him directions to get us back to Herndon. The traffic lights and time spent getting lost added an extra 40 minutes to our return trip. Upon our arrival the driver then complained to several people disembarking that getting back that late would take him forever to get home. In my opinion, a rather tacky comment after a great example of incompetence at preparing directions, utilizing a GPS, and operating a vehicle.
At this point I’m not sure what can be done to assist with the bad taste left in our mouths, but I did want to give you the chance to alleviate the situation prior to posting our account for the general public and your potential customers. Your attention to this matter is appreciated.
