Based upon their recommendation two years ago, we used a specific type of stain on our never-been stained before deck(we waited for the lumber to «cure» for 18 months before staining for the first time based upon the builder’s recommendation). The stain was a disaster. It never dried and it began to peal and rub off after one season. Anytime anyone walked on it, the stain got on their feet and it ruined our rugs(even months after the job was done) We now are in the process of stripping all of they work they did and starting over. What a nightmare.

Cope washed and stained both our fence and deck. The initial job seemed fine, but after the winter season we noticed that all of the patch-work they did to the deck — using some kind of wood putty — came out. Now, there are big white gaping holes in our deck. Not only is it unsafe, but it’s ugly against the red stain of the rest of the deck. We chose this option based on Cope’s recommendation. We have called several times to have them come back to fix what we can only believe is poor craftsmanship, but have received no response. If you expect good quality AND good customer service, I suggest trying elsewhere.
