My experience with Crystal Optical is entirely hinged on my interactions with Sharon, the optician. She offers wonderful customer service. She actually seems to care for the comfort and satisfaction of her clients. The office is small and perhaps the selection is not as extensive as some places, but Sharon will work with you to find what you want and need. Plus, it is a cool historic building that melds modern design with historical, classical motifs in a way that is tasteful.

In celebration of my new pic(species Oculous Abominus), I am writing a throwback review. A few points: 1. The office is clean. 2. Dr. Clark is almost as cute as my boyfriend. 3. The receptionists are flirting with IQ ranges of 80. Everything – from setting up my appointment to picking up my contacts – was a struggle. I wanted to go Malcolm X on they asses, but it just wasn’t appropriate or possible. 4. I never had my eyes dilated before, and they sent me out in the Virginia sun at 2 p.m. in July. I was literally brought to my knees by the sunlight. In true vampire fashion, I hissed, donned shades and hobbled/ran/felt my way to my car. I drove back to work with one eye open, then the computer blinded me, plus I couldn’t focus. I had the intern dial the number to call the office, whereupon the stake-wielding receptionists suggested that I should drive back for some reversal drops. Nice try.
