D Michael B’s Resort Bar & Grill

First impression upon walking in was very good. It has a great atmosphere, everything is very clean and the staff was immediately welcoming.
I chose to sit outside with the good weather and didn’t regret it.
The waitress was very engaging and helpful throughout, offering recommendations based on a short discussions if my likes.
The menu offered a nice layout with an ample offering of selections.
Started with tomato bisque which was good, by not great. I’m picky though so try it yourself.
I had the Pastalaya, which was fantastic! A little spicy but just right for me. Your experience may vary based on tastes…
Finished with a simple brownie with toppings that was also very good.
Best of the evening may have been my waitress Rachel! What a pleasantly helpful treat!
Did I mention how clean everything was?! Seriously! Everything looked brand new even though I was told it wasn’t.
This is definitely my new favorite place in Alexandria and I look forward to going back!!!

One of the best places to eat in Alexandria. The food is good and the service is great. You can’t beat Angie for a waitress! Great place to socialize or catch a game on TV

You want good beer? Get your a$$ over to djs taphouse! Good food? Again, get over to djs!!! Awesome service and atmosphere, Joey is our typical bartender, but Doug and drew are awesome too!

What more could I say? Asked for an extra kick and it was perfect. The sausage had to be my favorite part. The accompanied garlic bread was not too garlic-​y nor oily, just right!
You honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. On the very diverse menu. There are plenty of options from fried pickles (another fav) to enchiladas to a jerk chicken sandwich.
It’s a sports bar and grill, of course, so it wouldn’t be an ideal spot for a quiet date night. They have a nice self serve salsa station on game days.

What can you say when your lunches are delivered in less than 3 min. Panini… cool chicken, not sure it was cooked through, tasteless aioli, bread not fried with grill marks like most panini’s are. Mostly inedible. SW Burrito Should have been warm inside, but not fully heated up, and kids meal of Mac and cheese was totally reheated. Probably will not go back. Sad, because it is a cool place. Definitely need some menu and chef help! Had to wait longer for our check than we did the meal. On the bright side… waitress was nice and the water was good!

Excellent service. Sat at the bar. Zing Zang for the Bloodies. Delicious! Ordered the Bahn Mi sandwich; spicy sauce – order on the side. Overall, awesome place and a great hangout to watch a football game.

I love this restaurant! My family and I order food from here often. It is reasonably priced and their pastas are delicious!

LOVE! The food here is always good! You get pretty ok service sometimes great (I call that law of averages). But the food never disappoints! I’ve tried a lot off the menu and have never had a bad item :) the prices are fair for the food you get!

I really like D Michael B’s. There isn’t a ton of options in Alexandria but this is definitely one of the better ones. The food is always tasty and the service is good. The atmosphere is Minnesota rustic and pretty cute. The menu is very large so there is something for everyone. I did notice the bloody Mary bar and that looked pretty good but didn’t get to try it. One of my favorite things on the menu is the steak sandwich. It is served on garlic toast and is very tasty. Overall, I really like DMB’s and will go back whenever I am in Alex.

This was my ABSOLUTE favorite place to eat when I was in college. I loved the outdoor and rustic environment. I always thought the food was pretty good and the drinks were delish!

More like 2.5 stars… Yeah I don’t know about this place… I used to go here when in was in high school but the food used to be better or at least that’s what I remembered.
Ambiance: rustic outdoorsy vibe. Def like!
Food: I would say it’s «meh» and underwhelming considering the prices that we paid. We were a large group but I don’t know what everyone ordered but here’s what I couple of us had:
— Bad: I had the turkey club wrap and it was disappointing to say the least. The fries were good though. My hubs orders the walleye and it was also disappointing, it had no flavor. We both agreed that I might just be the frozen kind that you throw in a fryer. Not that I didn’t expect that but come on, a little salt and pepper goes a long way.
— Good: the kids meal is a great deal. According to my sis, chicken fingers with fries are $ 6 for kids meal. I tried the chick and it was good.
Service: it was okay. They seemed to keep forgetting a few things we asked for.
In summary, I won’t be back here when I come back to «Alec».

One of the better bars in Alexandria. Saturdays and Sundays they have a Bloody Mary buffet with «all the fixins». This place also has a tasty food menu. Will definitely go back.

it’s a bar/​gastropub basically. good food, but definitely seemed like a run –of-​the-​mill type joint.

D Michael B’s is delicious and wonderful. The drinks are delicious. The service is wonderful. The seating is spacious and comfortable. The food is great. Everything about it is great. If you are looking for a lodge-​like bar to go with your Minnesota experience, this is the place.
