DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse

They had a very good sale section. I thought it was bigger and good discount taken off at a decent shoes.
Sizes were organized well and easy to shop and navigate around the store. Sizes and styles were available on the floor for convenience.

This DSW opened not long ago and it is just down the road from me… so of course I am in heaven. I don’t know that I find anything good or bad about this location. It has a great selection of shoes, the staff are friendly and the store is clean. Not much more I could want. The fact that it is just a few miles from me is pretty glorious though. No more fighting traffic to Bailey Crossing or Crystal City!

Very Excited that we FINALLY have a shoe store on Route 1
With the exception of Payless (which hardly counts as a shoe store) route 1 has never had an actual Shoe Store where you could purchase name brands.
The store is overall clean and has a nice selection, Looking for something quick and reliable this is the store

Have Mercy! Now I have a shoe oasis near home in addition to one near work. My quality of life has just improved exponentially. This latest addition to the Mount Vernon Shopping Plaza is making smile as I type. I walked away with a new pair of gray slip-​on sneaks and a bejeweled pair of sandals having spent less than sixty bucks. This location is new and shiny and happy. Not quite as enormous a selection as my Fairfax location, but the rows are easily identifiable and not as intimidating in scope. The staff were friendly enough, but the cashier I dealt with was very distracted by a conversation she was carrying on with another associate. I didn’t mind too much because I was already doing my best invisible woman impression anyway… but dang… that’s my credit card, lady! Please pay attention to me at least a little.

I am so happy that DSW decided to move into the neighborhood.
When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was how organized the store was. The shelves are not too high so you scan the entire store and determine where different styles of shoes are located.
Help was not hard to find. There were several employees visible around to help, however, no one came up to me and ask if I needed help finding anything.

I have been to the DSW in Pentagon City several times. I stopped going because I found the entire shoe buying process at DSW exhausting. (I haven’t had a lot of luck with DSW finding size ¹⁰⁄₁₁ shoes that don’t have 4 inch heels and are not flip flops.) As a result, I didn’t have a high expectations for the company’s new store in a shopping center that I pass on my way home from work. However I was still curious and decided to check it out. I am much happier with this location than the 1 in Pentagon City. There are no escalators and all the shoes are on the same floor. I also liked the clean and modern look of this store with the wood paneling they’ve put the walls. Although, I didn’t end up buying any shoes while I was at DSW; I will probably be back to this DSW to check out their purse and accessory collection (and if I happen to find a pair of shoes that would just be an extra bonus). I was surprised by the variety of purses, bags, wallets and scarfs the store had. In nutshell if you feel like going shopping but don’t really have a particular type of shoe in mind this is a good option for «grazing».

Interest in checking out the fresh location and a grand opening coupon lured me in today. Organized aisles upon aisles of fashionable shoes felt like I entered Candy Land. I was pleased with the varied styles and selection of designer brands. There is also a substantial selection of dress and casual shoes for men. This section was not an afterthought!
The store was obviously clean since it opened 2 days ago. In addition, DSW staff and other customers were diverse, super nice, and complimentary. I bought a cute pair of nude colored sandals and used my $ 15 coupon. (((All Smiles))) They also had a nice selection of accessories.
