Enterprise Rent-A-Car

If you can avoid this branch please do so. The staff has no clue what’s going on the manager sat at his desk and stared at me for 5 minutes before one of his useless employees helped me. They didn’t have a car for me even though I had a reservation and on top of it they gave me a load of crap about an out of state license. After they refused to rent me a car because of my license even though I have been renting that way for 2 years. The manager said he didn’t care what the other branches did he wasn’t renting to me and I should go to another branch. Major fail enterprise.

Well run operation, personable guys, efficient even during the Monday am rush and Friday evening returns /​weekend travel. As with other Enterprise offices, the rate was consistently low. I recommend making reservations online either through Enterprise or one of the travel websites.

I had a great experience there; very corteous, attentive, and friendly staff; incredible customer service. The only reason I am not giving it a full 5 is because when I called to see if my vehicle was ready I was told it was. However, when I got there it still had to be washed so I had to wait. It wasn’t a terrible wait but I just wouldn’t have gone to get it yet if I knew I had to wait.

I had to rent a car for the holiday weekend and my experience here was wonderful. I was picked up quickly and everyone was so polite and helpful, Ryan in particular, who went absolutely out of his way for me. A really positive experience, it is so rare to find such exceptional customer service. This team really provided that.

This enterprise team rocks! They are very quick, courteous and reliable. No issues renting a car in the DC area on Memorial Day weekend. Abraham picked me up at the last minute on a very busy day — he was great to chat with on the car ride and everything went super smooth… pretty sure I was picked up, signed the paper work, and was on the road in less than 30 minutes.
Give this team a raise :)

I have rented from Enterprise at this location several times over the years and each time the staff has been very professional and polite. Rates for a cargo van are very reasonable and come in handy when needing to move furniture or pick up bulky items from a Home Depot or Lowes.
I make my reservations online and everything is always in order and ready to go when I arrive. I have not used the pick up service but have never had to wait more than 5 minutes when needing to be dropped off after returning a rental.
Easy parking, polite and professional staff… I’ll continue to use this Enterprise location for all my local rental needs.

These guys are great. I had my car in for service at a dealership up the street and I went over to Enterprise to get a rental for the evening (no reservation). I walked in and they took care of me immediately, got me into a car in about 10 minutes, and I was on my way. Return was quick and easy and the staff was incredibly professional and helpful with all my questions.

These folks do their job. They are fast, courteous, professional. I suppose that, in the old days, this was simply excepted. These days, it can be a rare find, but a very welcome one!
I have rented here by making a reservation over the phone at central reservations, and scheduling the free pickup service. It worked perfectly. After working with the rep at the central office, I was given the number of the actual branch. I was able to call to confirm the pickup. They answered the phone, I talked to a human, it was great.
Last week I rented here without a reservation — I just showed up. To be fair, this wasn’t the best idea on my part. It was a Saturday, and they were busy. But they made it work for me, and the manager named John went above and beyond, even giving me a special rate.
The prices are great, especially if you decline all the insurance. They have to give you the whole speech about what happens if there is any damage to the car, regardless of fault. But in the end, they are happy to let you decline, and save big bucks.
Location is great, right on Route 1, in a small shopping center with ample parking.

love love love Enterprise… their pickup/​drop off service is essential to me… and rates are competitive… best of all, the agents and drivers are wonderful… especially at the 5954 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA location… those folk are kind, helpful, smart, efficient and have become friends over the last few years… I look forward to seeing them every time I rent… thanks, Enterprise

I’ve rented from a number of Enterprise locations over the years. While the other major rental agencies are all pretty much the same, Enterprise really tries to be something different. Their franchises that are located away from airports, for instance. And, of course, they way they «pick you up.» If I’m renting locally, I pretty much always use them, or ZipCar.
This location is fantastic. Their staff really seems to care about the customer, the product, and the experience. I was in and out in literally 10 minutes. The clerk noticed little scratches on the bumper that I never would have seen, and dutifully wrote them down. I moved my stuff, dropped the key off at the convenient night box, and got a call the next day to tell me that everything was fine, and what my total would be.
Really, this could not have been easier. This location is the closest one to where I live, so I suspect I’ll be using them again quite soon.

I never thought I would write a positive review about a rental car company, since most of the time it’s a completely frustrating experience from beginning to end. Consider my surprise when the staff was not only friendly and professional, but went out of their way to make my unpleasant experience of renting a car a good one. They worked with me on a weekly rate when my own car epairs were unreasonably delayed (thanks for nothing, Ourisman Jeep Chrysler), and checked in periodically to see if I needed to extend the rental.
I’ve rented from this location a couple times before, and will do so again. Thanks for making the hassle of renting a car bearable!

WHAT I LIKED:
— Very nice people work there. They all are super friendly and generous with upgrades.
— Flexibility during an emergency situation — they really helped me out when I had a very last minute change to a reservation.
— Definitely liked that rate!
THINGS I LEARNED THE HARD WAY:
— This branch is so (unfortunately) understaffed. They try really hard, but the service is just SO slow. Pickups could be an hour and more later than anticipated. Be prepared to wait — but they always try to make it right if you’re really affected. I feel so sad for them because no one is just «sitting around»
