Wow, this place is the definition of sketchy… I came here on a Saturday and the place was pretty empty throughout the night… there was like only two pool tables. For a billiards café, you’d think there would be more than that… The bar itself was at least somewhat decent… the bartender was nice… there is a private parking lot, so that’s nice. Though, I felt like my car would have been broken into or stolen if i stayed longer, haha… yikes…but other than that. i don’t think i will come back here… As for the music, it was a mix between country and Hispanic songs. yeah… a weird range… Let’s just say, the crowd was either white old people, or a Hispanic crowd. nothing else. There is a private parking lot, so that’s good. I recommend staying away from this place, but hey, that’s just me.

Drinks were strong… I went on night that hardly anyone was there so I was the king of the castle… everyone was polite. I liked it. Not the most polished but you will drink and be merry.

This place is a dump. Don’t park anywhere near it as there’s car thieves in the lot. The front door and surrounding area is always occupied by older drunks that wave at cars and harass people walking in. The inside is disgusting. Used to play pool here 9 – 10 years ago. Glad they’re tearing it down. It still symbolizes everything route 1 was in the 80’s-90’s, an antiquated dive that isn’t pretty anymore, and needs to go to rehab. Sad to hear that they’re tearing the AMF down also. Same review applies to that place.

There’s something crooked about this place. Random men and women walking in and out of the kitchen, not in waitress or cook attire. The rent a cops walking around like they know what’s going on but gettin paid to keep it hush. All speculation of course. I bought food with a drink before 10. After 10 they took my coke and told me I’d have to pay $ 4 for another one. It’s called a billiard café but only has two tables to play. This place is whack

The best thing this place has going for it is the daytime bartender Geanie; she has been doing it for years and knows how to entertain the crowd. Other than that, Fast Eddies is not my first stop. It is cavernous and dark and at times boast a cast of characters that would make the Star Wars bar scene seem like something out of Sesame Street. Well, come to think of it, both reference might work here. Also, depending on the night or what music Is playing, the crowd can get a little rough.

Run down dump that needs to be torn down. Wait, the landlord is already planning to tear down the center and redeveloped it. Published in the local paper. The tables need new felt and place has funny odor. Place used to do lots of hispanic dance parties on the weekends.

I want to give this place a great review, but simply can’t. I play pool here in a pool league, go there sometimes to play pool for lunch and has even enjoyed a meal up there that wasn’t bad. The drinks are descent but the price of the drink depends on who you order your drink from and what they feel like charging for it. The service is hit or miss but the biggest problem that I have with this place is roaches. The first time I ordered food I was greeted by a roach and every time that I seem to go to this place and its half way empty, the roaches take over. I try to support the place because they are very accommodating with the pool tables and offer great pool specials, however the roaches are getting progressively worse. I also have friends that have gotten sick from eating the food. If you decide to go to this place, order the fries and the drinks. stay away from the rest of the food.

They should call this place«Slowpoke James’». I went in today during their happy hour to grab a quick and cheap beer. I arrived and sat myself(as the sign specified) at the tables. The bar was kinda full but I never really like sitting on those super tall stools(especially because of my short little legs). It was at the tables where I watched 3 waitresses, a waiter, 2 cooks, and a hostess pass me by, watch the television, laugh amongst each other, text, and generally goof around. After 25 minutes of being ignored I decided this was definitely no Hard Times and that I was taking my leave. Upon standing up and walking out a waitress tried to stop to ask me if she could help me. I didn’t take it fully out on her but I did let her know the service was seriously lacking and that I wouldn’t be returning. They might have billiards and cheap beer but they don’t have good service and really that’s half of what makes a good business.

My boyfriend and I have been to Fast Eddie’s a couple of times because it is only a mile away from our home. Fast Eddie’s is a great place to shoot pool or just have a few drinks. The bartenders are very friendly. I have never had any problems with the patrons. The place does cater mostly to blue collar workers. It turns into a latino nightclub on weekday nights, so it gets really loud and packed.

I am reviewing this as a pool hall — only. It’s pretty spacious and wasn’t too busy when I came in. I liked that I ordered a Yeungling and got a bottle almost bigger than my head. The service is decent, and like I said… reviewing it as a pool hall so not much to judge about it. I agree, it’s not totally in a desirable area but I lived around the corner from here in my teenage days. if you are careful and don’t go into stranger’s cars… you will be just fine.

Fast Eddie’s in the news today — «The sheriff’s office says the woman was at Fast Eddie’s, an Alexandria-area nightclub, on Monday when she met a man who later offered to drive her home. She went into his car and found several other men inside. Officials say she was taken against her will to a Waldorf home where more than a dozen other people live. The men held the victim at knife point, raping her and telling her they would kill her if she didn’t comply with their demands, police say. »

If you’re APA stay away from this place. Manager quotes one discount on your way in and cuts it in half on your way out. Takes care of home team and screws everyone else. Nice bar, though.

Fridays are strictly Latin. They play everything from Cumbia to Reggaeton. This was my first experience in a Latin Club. The one thing I really didn’t like was«Smoking Permitted» everyone in the place was smoking. The music on the dance floor is deafeningly loud but the atmosphere was good. This not a place for someone who is looking for a sense of fomality. There is no dress code and only men go through security checks. Latin music is played the whole night. I want to go back…

Pretty nice for a pool hall. FYI — I’m reviewing it ONLY as a pool hall, not as a restaurant or social club or anything. I came here a number of years back to watch a professional 9-Ball tournament. I actually got to see Steve Mizerak play, though he wasn’t playing in the tournament — he and Efram Reyes were playing one-pocket on a side table for money, and that was pretty entertaining. I also got to watch Allison Fisher play in the tournament. She was really impressive. And, of course, she won. The pool hall actually had bleachers set up so more people could watch. You could look around and see various D.C. «players» watching alongside. It was certainly a lot more fun than watching the pros play in Vegas on ESPN. I’m sure the club put their best foot forward for the tourney, with new felt etc. Everything looked nice. Given the opportunity, I would go back and play there.
