After having a bad experience with another Jiffy Lube (4148 S Four Mile Run Dr, Arlington, VA 22 206) I decided to try this Jiffy Lube … Without a doubt, this Jiffy Lube (511 VanDorn, Alexandria Va) out performed and treated their customers in a professional manner. The work they performed was quality and exactly what they estimated (no surprises). I will certainly recommend this location (511 VanDorn, Alexandria Va) and return for future service.

My first time at this jiffy lube location. The guy who initially greeted me was very rude. His name tag said John and he had red hair. Oil change ended up being almost $ 200 with a supposed 20% discount. That’s some expensive oil. It’s cheaper at the dealer.

Service was quick, did a great job and clean, 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s a bit expensive

Slow service. Many technicians just milling about.

The actual oil change was fine and quick since I was the only customer there. The bad review goes to the manager working who commented on how he liked my long legs when I got out of my car. He then criticized me for not being able to make a decision without my husbands approval when he wanted to change the air filter. Went on a rant about «women who can’t make decisions» and how we need to stop «being helpless without men» While paying he condescendingly read things to me slowly and asked if I could read. As I was leaving he asked if I thought I could handle putting the sticker they give you in the window myself or if I would need help. All of these comments were said in what I’m sure he assumes is a joking manner but I don’t appreciate being talked down too while getting my oil changed. Will not return.

Service was fast, staff was curious and professional. Great customer service. Only tic is that the air filters are severely overpriced.

They charge more because it’s supposed to be fast. But it took forever just for an oil change. More like SLOW Lube.

The men and women here always do a good job. I have never waited too long and they always communicate effectively. I have been here on four different occasions.

Still going here, love how friendly they are here, BUT the waits are getting a little longer than the promised 15 – 20 min, now it’s about 45 min. I might be looking to take this in at less peak hours or call first before coming.

Great customer service but SUPER OVERPRICED! $ 50 for an air filter that I purchase elsewhere for under $ 15. Needless to say OIL CHANGE ONLY!!!

Good for an oil change, bad for anything else.
Went to get one of my tires checked out for an air leak. I explained the problem to the first guy that I met and he then asked, «So are you here for an oil change?» I had actually got an oil change a couple days earlier at the same place… so of course I said no. Thirty mins later (busy Saturday), they started working on my car. A different man called me out and he again asked if I was here for an oil change. I explained no, again, and he said OK, he’d check out my tire pressure. This is when I saw my car’s hood already opened. Couple minutes later I see a different guy pouring oil into my car. Apparently he didn’t get the memo either.
Of course, I didn’t get charged since it was their mistake. They checked my tires and added air, explaining that they didn’t do any tire work. I suppose I should’ve known better. I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 because when I got the oil change previously they did a good job, and the wait wasn’t bad either. Service is good too. However, they should definitely get some sort of organization up in there.

The workers here are all super friendly and helpful — though there was a long line, they were very attentive and explained their recommendations thoroughly.

The staff of 5 guys was attentive, friendly, and efficient. I pulled up and the buzzer went off, and they all moved out to get in position! I was greeted with a smile, walked to the waiting room, and was pointed in the direction of coffee and a newspaper!
The cost was a little high at $ 35 or so, but I knew that going in, and you pay for the convenience of saved time. I was able to make two work calls and was out in 15 minutes, with proper tire pressure and fresh oil! I will be back

I dropped in here late on a Saturday morning for a simple oil change. I was greeted by a friendly technician, seated inside and offered tea/​coffee, then reviewed my oil change options with another technician. They were not pushy will selling me filters and more expensive oils or any other service. I was simple advised of my options– air filter change, tire rotation, etc– and was done in about 20 minutes. Speedy service, friendly staff, and discount for govt/​military. What more could I ask for? I will definitely be back!

Very professional but come on guy, when a customer says no once, please don’t take that as a yes and pull out your air filter salesman pitch. I don’t want my air filter replaced!
If I wasn’t pressured to replace my air filter, I’d give them 4 stars. Nobody likes the feeling they are being sold something. Otherwise, everything else was very good.

Very professional. I had no wait time and the car was ready in under 30 mins. Tires rotated, air filter, oil change. They offered the pricey items, but didn’t recommend them for my current needs.

I wouldn’t go to this Jiffy Lube again. When I pulled up, there were a couple cars already there, so they told me it would be about 35 – 40 min. Ok, no problem, I went to the waiting area and took out my book. An hour later they finally called me out to go over what they suggested I get done on my car, and I didn’t get to check out for another ½ hour. Right before I checked out I heard the lady behind the counter talk to a gentelman waiting say «hey are you in a hurry?» He said no, she replied «don’t matter, I’ll check you out first» (he had been there for maybe 20 min) Then I over heard her trying to give him my car. Once I got in my car all the mirrors had been moved and the seat was moved also, I don’t understand why they needed to move those.
The actual oil change was fine, but I’ll be going elsewhere from now on.

I’ve been here a few time since moving to the area. The crew does a good job, though the upselling can be a little much at times. I’ve only had one issue here, and the management handled it decently enough to instill the trust enough for me to come back.

How do I reward my trusty Nissan Pathfinder who carried me through these last 3 winter storms and never let me down once?
I know… let’s get you an oil change and a radiator coolant system flush at Jiffy Lube! I figure you had to work xtra hard in 4×4 mode, then it’s well deserved.
So, I always have gotten my oil and coolant system work done at Jiffy Lube with no issues. Today service tech L.T. hooked me up with good service and some info for future smooth engine running. I realize you can get good deals on cheaper oil changes in many places. Less than $ 34.99. But, stick with who you know and trust. I’m happy with the guys at my local Jiffy Lube.
So is my Pathfinder!
