I was in town visiting a friend who let me borrow her Mercedes. As a kind gesture I went to have the car cleaned. When I returned home from the car wash, I noticed that the hood ornament was missing. Freaked out I drove back to the cash wash to locate it. One man looked for it twice, but said it wasn’t there. Once he realized I wasn’t leaving until the matter was resolved, he involved the owner. The owner (name escapes me) reviewed the videos and saw the car go in with a hood ornament and come out without one. He didn’t hesitate to make a call to order a new one. The new hood ornament arrived a couple days later and they installed it for me. Overall fantastic customer service. The car was nice and clean too, very affordable.

I’ve been here several times now. They are always quick and thorough. Including the interior — which a lot of places aren’t great about. Definitely recommend!

It’s fast and easy. You’ll be in and out within 10 — 15 minutes for a simple cleaning. I’m still impressed how they do it even when it’s busy. I drive an SUV and they still get it done. Make sure you know what you want when you drive up and you’ll be good. The menu is simple.

Mr Kleen get the job done, at a reasonable price too! It costs $ 59.99 to wash and wax my 2016 Subaru Forrester. At first, I thought that was really expensive! But then I saw how well they did: first my car was driven through the usual automatic car wash; then 2 technicians worked on wiping it down, top to bottom and inside out. They cleaned both inside and the outside of all my windows. Then, it was hand waxed by another 2 techs! It was the first time I washed my car since purchasing it about 4 months ago so it was VERY dirty, especially after all the snow we had this winter. They even vacuumed out the dog hair – it has a black interior and I have a 90 pound white very fluffy dog.
I highly recommend Mr Kleen. I will be coming back here quarterly. :)

With as many options of car washes that there are right around this facility you would think they would do a better job cleaning your car. They must have used a dirty rag on the windshield. Two days after getting my car cleaned there is a smoky mist on the windshield that is bothering my eyes to look through. They didn’t vacuum very well. VERY UNSATISFIED

I’ve been coming here on and off for a couple of years. They are close to my house, so convenience often wins out when I need my car cleaned. However, there really is no consistency with the cleaning. Sometimes the men who detail the car after the wash do a great job getting in all the nooks and crannies, remembering to clean door frames and the parts of the back bumpers that may be hidden my your trunk door or hatchback. Heck, one time I had to go out there and remind the guy to do that (I have an SUV, and they often seem to forget to clean the dirt and dust that collects behind the back door), and he then proceeded to wipe down all my mud flaps and clean my tired again! The car looked great!
However this last time, this past weekend, I think I may have had the worst experience. My car was super dirty, so I bought the «special» they had going that was the Super Interior clean (supposed to be good particularly if you need dog hair cleaned out) with the VIP wash. Because I have an SUV, they upcharge $ 10 extra. So total for the wash was $ 59.95. I may have actually gotten a $ 30 cleaning. They didn’t clean the windshield interior, nor wipe/​dust off the radio/​center console. There was grime still on my door frames. I had to go out and tell the guy to clean/​wipe down the back, and he kind of gave me an attitude. And he didn’t do a great job of that either. There was still grime in the door frame and some dirt left unwiped from the side panels along the back wall. To top it all off, they moved and flipped over my subwoofer speaker I have in the back! First of all, they should have NEVER moved it. But, secondly, they flipped it over to where the speaker face was pressed in to the ground. That plastic is pretty delicate, and you have to be careful with putting things in front of it/​on it/​etc, otherwise it can mess with the sound that emanates from the speaker. I seriously couldn’t believe they did that! Are they not told to not touch customer’s electronics but to work around them? And, frankly, in the time it took them to rearrange my speaker, they could have used that to better clean the car. The speaker now also has a light rattle to it, which I fully intend to blame on them moving it around. I won’t be back!

I wish I could give negative stars. What a horrible, expensive waste of money. I just spent $ 100. I’m sitting in the kitchen with wet jeans and a wet shirt from the special «seat treatment» for which I’d paid extra.
I’m pissed off because I put $ 15 into the tip jar. I just rewarded crappy, lazy work. I did this before checking the car.
I’ve never had a car wash, nor detailing that left the seats wet.
I left ample time to have the wash, seat treatment and special cleaning out of vents and washing of the console/​dashboard performed. I went to run errands. Upon my return, I inspected my car. Large areas were vacuumed, small nifty gritty areas (still in the open) were not. There was a lot of dirt in areas that were to be exterior washed. The car mats, always black in color, not have a dried, gray-​ish cast to them.
I walked around the car, opened the doors and a man came over and I started to point things out. He laughed (yes, laughed a lot while saying sorry), then used his greasy, dirty rag to wipe down surfaces I was pointing to. I pointed out the entire area around cup holders and the gear box were filthy, still with random dirt, beach sand and stains, and asked what special console dashboard cleaning treatment I had paid for. «Sorry!», he said with a laugh, and wiped it, with a dirty rag, with no cleaner.
I opened the glove compartment. They never touched it. It needed vacuuming. I went to speak to someone else. They pulled my car back up to the vacuum area. My Dad spoke with one guy while I asked another for a fresh, dry rag. I used it to attempt to blot all the water out of my drivers seat. They told me using water (not Armour All) with shampoo was how to clean leather seats. The laughing guy came back and with his dirty hands, pressed down on the seat to show me a wet seat was normal. Now the seat is dirtier than when he started (tan leather). I pointed to the expensive black Mercedes sedan and asked if that guy was going to sit on wet seats. No answer.
I used the clean (ish) rag to wipe many more surfaces on my own (he wasn’t going to do it) and when I finished ten minutes later, it was black.
I live in New York and have had far superior car washes (not to mention mini detailing) for less money. I’m so pissed off because no one took ownership, no one seemed to care.
Might I add that a few of us were waiting inside to ask questions (before I brought my car in to be washed), the outside area was crowded, and no one was at the front desk/​cashier area. Someone was in front of me. I went outside to ask one of the employees if there was a person at the desk in the office. His reply? «Oh they’re at 7-​Eleven. They’ll be back.»

My car is still dirty inside. I didn’t appreciate the laughing guy saying «your car is old». What does that have to do with anything? I’ve meticulously maintained my car — yes there is some rust on bumper guards, but the car looks amazing. That’s no excuse for being lazy and not giving a crap about your work ethic.
I hope the owner reads this review. I want a full refund. My Dad recommended this place to me and is now embarrassed.
Don’t go. TERRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE. I’m sure there are good workers there, I just wish I’d been able to give THEM my business.

Very slow. It took me 30 min to get to front of line. It was a weekend so maybe this is expected for the DC area. What I noticed though is there’s no hustle in the staff. Even when being this busy. Prices are high and a bit silly. You need to pay extra to have dog hair removed.
Update. In fairness to the carewash, they said keys we’re locked in a car and it couldn’t be moved, backing up operations. Still no hustles and the price issue remains as my critiques.

UPDATE: After searching for a decent car wash this one star location is the best out there. Forced to come here.

I should’ve listened to Unilocal.... Don’t come here. Waste of money!
From the beginning: I pulled in an chose the most expensive of three car washes ($ 26.95). I made sure everything was out of the car and all the back seats were lifted. I even took set out the cup holders in the front seat as a hint to clean inside them.
My car came out and 5 – 6 guys started wiping it all down. I never care to stare my car down as they are cleaning it because I think it’s kinda rude. But there were plenty of other customers stalking their cars as they were being cleaned — and you’ll see why as you continue to read.
One customer took a rag himself and started cleaning it with an employee. He asked him to armor all the floor boards and the employee kindly did. As the customer walked around the car he noticed the employee missed an entire side, so he had to point it out to him.
Another lady that was getting her car washed made the same request and clearly said, «can you clean the edged because sometimes you guys forget to.»
By this time my car was done and I walked around it to look how clean it was. Sure enough the cup holders weren’t touched, the back seats still had a juice stain on the leather from my kids, and the trunk space didn’t even get vacuumed. They employee immediately got the vacuum and went over it again. I walked over, grabbed a rag and cleaning bottle, and cleaned the cup holder and back seat myself.
I left thinking I should’ve listened to Unilocal and that I’ll never come back. $ 26.95 down the drain.
Oh and the free thing you get when you check in on Unilocal is an air freshener that comes standard with all car washes.

As always, they perform a great customer service on my vehicle. The staff is pleasant and nice to chat. Today, they washed and cleaned the exterior and interior. Very clean and car looks like the day I purchased from the dealership. I forgot to mentioned about the ceiling interior. They took care of it after all was done and they were busy as usual with other cars in line,

I’ve gone to Mister Kleen several times the last being 6÷26÷15. Mister Kleen is like any other car wash except for one thing the number of staff that are working. I am always impressed by the men (never seen a women cleaning the cars) working their butts off sometimes in the extreme cold or heat. The staff is friendly to the point one of the members of the staff hit on me while I was waiting for my car the last time. It has not distracted me from giving them a high rating. The gentlemen who did was very polite. I never felt uncomfortable. The prices are also very fair and you get a range (and price points) for what you want to see done to your car. They also offer me a punch card with a free wash after what I believe is 10 washes. In a nutshell if you happen to be at this point on Route 1 and your car has seen better days it is worth the stop.

First of all, this place was packed! Warm weather is here and they were slammed! I had some time, so I thought I’d treat my truck to some spring cleaning. I chose the $ 59 wax job.
The guy explaining the service was really nice and joked with me. He said, they would even wash my truck before they waxed it. HARDY HAR HAR! But oh my gosh! When they were done my truck looked brand new! They wiped down the inside AND vacuumed too.
But the most important part that will make me a forever customer is …
My truck was parked out in the middle of the parking lot while a guy was finishing up. I walked over there. Pretty privately, I handed him a 10 dollar bill.
I watched him. He put his towel and spray away. Then he walked over to the main tip can and put the 10 in!
He could have very easily kept that for himself. Wow! Hard working and has integrity! You can’t buy that advertising! Go to Mr. Kleen all summer! They are good people!

Very pleased with the interior cleaning of my Infiniti FX-​35. They went to town on it for a good 30 mins, getting the seats, floors, dash and cargo space. I’ll go here again if I’m in the area (it’s a good 20 min drive from my place).

Beware. This place takes about 50 minutes to get your car from the line to the finish. The bottleneck is the service to dry and do the tire shine. Took way more time than the actual washing. The service is very slow. Do not recommend if you don’t have patience. 50 minutes that I lost, for a mediocre wash.

Avoid !!! PLEASE READ to the end manager is a sexist lunatic Seriously bc if you have a complaint it won’t be solved you your kids and vehicle could be threatened physically AND followed !!! I had the misfortune of throwing my money away getting my car «washed «here. When they where done the car was still dirty I had to have some one come and rewipe it down. I get in my car and the center console hadn’t even been touched I payed 26.95 to specific bc the manager yelled at me to show him my receipt when I told him that I didn’t pay almost thirty dollars for that kind of job. Anyways if that wasn’t part of what I paid for they should have told me IF that was the case. In the end I told the cashier who clearly didn’t belong behind a register that I needed someone to clean that. She sent out Raj P. Who didn’t bother to ask me what the problem was instead he came up yelled «we already spent time on your car it’s done» I had only been there about 45 mins that’s how he greeted me. I asked him to take a look at my console and cup holders and he proceeded to yell at me. In the end when I was about to drive away (without it having been cleaned) he grabbed something metal and was going to THROW it at my car with children inside my young sister was afraid. I drove off parked at the 711 to make sure the kids where okay and he FOLLOWED me I have video of that psycho following me !!! terrible customer service!!!

I went for a car wash today after months of not getting one. Standard fare, drive up, pick a wash, go through the machine, hand dry, put your car back to how it was. except wait, they didn’t.
1. The machine bent my front license plate to 90 degrees, I’m willing to overlook that because it’s prob my fault for having a license plate relocation kit.
2. I have all weather mats that they did clean, however only cleaned the front two and not the rears. Then they didn’t put the mats back to the floor except they left it on my seats! WHAT? So now I have a wet butt and I’m trying to put the mats back and click them in when an employee knocks on my window because I was apparently holding up the line doing THEIR job.
3. There is still dust on my dashboard, can’t they just run a rag across it?
4. There is still dirt on my car that I wiped off with my hands — Very sloppy
Overall, I’m never going back here again. I’ve been to better places where they actually care about the cars and their customers.

Awesome car wash place… one of the best I have ever been to… service is great and honest… the crew member found some money that I dropped behind the seat they came inside looked for me and handed me the money… it wasn’t much but it shows great character… thanks again for a great cleaning

I second the good reviews here. My family has been taking our cars to Mr. Kleen for years and we have always been satisfied with the product and service. After a recent trip to Pennsylvania and hours on the snowy PA turnpike, my car came back to Alexandria pretty much covered in dried muddy snow and road salt. I considered getting it fully detailed because it was so dirty but my mom suggested I just go get a quick wash at our usual place. For $ 15.95 I got a pretty thorough car wash both inside and out. No blow drying here — they wipe down everything for you including mirrors, dashboard, etc. I did see a few spots that they missed, but it was a busy day and I’m sure it wasn’t intentional.
The line really isn’t that bad but then again, it was the middle of a weekday. The service is fine. If you’re a local, get a punch card — after 10 washes you get one for free. It’s worth it.
