Bought a PC with additional memory, took it home and computer kept shutting off with a memory error. Returned it the next day and immediately the franchisee said«It was working when you left.» She replaced the memory cards, but now I have a PC fan failure and computer shuts off when playing videos(probably some kind of memory card problem). I called to schedule a repair but they didn’t answer their phone for days; sent emails and finally someone from the corporate office contacted the Alexandria location and asked them to contact me. Today I took the computer to the location during normal business hours and it was closed. Yes, closed early for some BS reason, so I just wasted my time and gas money. I would’ve called first, but they don’t answer the damn phone.

I have always looked for a better way to buy a computer than just going to the big retail chain places that shove the most expensive piece of junk down your throat and a few months later when it’s dead, your done… no more warranty, no more help, no nothing just a salesman wanting to sell you another one. This place is it. Quality machines, that used to be used in business or government environments so they work forever! My first CPU came with a free mouse and keyboard, and in this day and age, free anything is good with me. The Store manager took the time to explain to me the differences in the computers, pricing, spec comparisons and we were able to pick out a system to fullfill my needs. not only that, but their computers and laptops come with a 1 year warranty. WAY more than any other store or competitor. I am already looking into now buying a laptop for my kids, and I know this will be the place for me to go.

Being huge into computers, I’ve always been of the opinion that most people just don’t need that much horsepower. Not for email, basic word processing and web surfing. Plus, if you’re a student or teacher or generally cash strapped, buying a new laptop or desktop is a huge commitment. That’s why I love PC Retro, where otherwise good computers find new homes. You can check out their website and get an idea of what sort of deals they have. Each computer has been checked over, put back into good working shape and ready to go. For about $ 200 you can get a laptop to take care of basic needs, or $ 50 will get you a desktop(ANDMONITOR) out the door. I still have friends who don’t have computers and I’m happy to know that PC Retro has been there to make it a less financially traumatizing event.
