I’m a very cheap traveler so when it comes to one and two star hotels/motels I’m pretty familiar with what the expectations should be. Red Carpet Inn fit most of that criteria with some unforgivable downsides. The first thing that didn’t sit well with me was the male staff, who possibly was the owner, was very stingy with the towels. For no apparent reason either. I had a room for three with only two sets of towels(a large, a hand towel and a facecloth). I went to retrieve a third set for the third guest and he gave me initially told me to have that person use the hand towel. I didn’t argue it but later went to the front desk and asked again for a set of towels. He handed me one large towel. I asked him for a facecloth and he just shook his head and said no. I honestly didn’t know how to respond. Then came the worst part. We proceeded to take showers one at a time. The first person showered and seemed disgusted. I was next and as soon as I stepped into the bathroom the first thing I noticed was this foul odor that was indistinguishable. As I entered the shower it became stronger and stronger. I began to realize it was coming from the drain and must have been sewage or something of that nature. Long story short the smell became stronger after we all showered and eventually seeped into the room. It was horrendous. I’ve stayed at some low budget inns that visually looked way worse than Red Carpet Inn and to be honest the stay at those places may have been better than dealing with the smell of this bathroom. This issue began to make us look a little closer at the room and bathroom and just gave an overall disgusting feel. I have to give the Red Carpet Inn credit for one thing, there is an extremely friendly and accommodating woman who works and I believe stays at the Inn. The next morning I had asked her for towels and she more than accommodated my request and was very nice. I wished she had been the one to check me in in the first place and not gotten me started on such a bad note. I hope the bathroom odor issue will be resolved and I hope they can stock up on some towels so their towel policy can gain some leniency. I can’t recommend the stay here, even at a low cost. The ironic thing is that I had read so many reviews about the clientele that seem to live at this motel but they weren’t even a blip on my radar.

Management were exceptionally rude, refused to provide more than one key or 2 towels for a room for which we were paying for 3 people, the room was disgusting and the shower drain was letting out an overpowering smell of raw sewage. Additionally the place gives off a very sketchy vibe at night. Definitely avoid.
