I found this through a friend on Facebook. I contacted State of the Tart(SoTT) after reading that they were looking for some chances to promote the business. I had a very vague, very short notice request for some cupcakes and a special treat suitable for some special diets(high fiber/lower glycemic index). She was very friendly. Via Facebook messages, she offered suggestions, took my suggestions, and worked with me to figure out treats that would work. We decided on cupcakes with raspberry & white chocolate buttercream, and a paleo sweet potato brownie. …This was a day and a half before I needed them. To my satisfaction, they were packaged and conveniently delivered a short while before we needed them on the day of the event. The cupcakes were clearly crafted with care. The taste was good(not my words but it was explained to me as: a mix between something you would make yourself and something purchased from the grocery store. lol, they meant that as a good thing) My guests really enjoyed them. The only draw back was that because they were buttercream, they were getting pretty melty, pretty quick. The brownie was new to both of us(SoTT and me). It did taste good. The kids actually loved it. Adults, unless they are paleo die hards, would probably not care for the look. They were really chocolatey and very sweet(probably why the kids loved them :) but you could tell that there was mashed sweet potato in them from the stringy texture. In the future, because of my own personal preferences, I would probably order mini-cupcakes(because I don’t like a whole lot of sweet) and see if they could make the brownie again, but a little more smooth and little less sweet. All in all, a good experience, and I would recommend them.
