My father and I ate here the other day and it was awesome. I’m now going to start eating at taco beuno instead of taco bell. The meat was real and seasoned, the vegetables were fresh as well and the amount of food was almost too much, not a bad thing. I thought it was great, so great that we went back for supper with my husband, as excepted the food was good but the cashier had an attitude and was rude to me and my husband and so I had to tell her about herself and she cried. Attention people in the food industry customer service Is key if you hate you’re job find another I just want my food with friendly service with a smile.

I hate to say it, but I guess I just prefer Taco Bell’s over-processed junk food. The food here tastes like real food… like they actually use real beef and whatnot… it’s just… bland. They give big portions, though. The prices are a little more expensive than Taco Bell as a result. It’s not bad, it just seems too plain tasting to me. I stop by once in a blue moon.

I’m used to really good Mexican food after decades in Texas and California. This Taco Bueno was my first experience with this chain. First impression was that it’s basically a Taco Bell chassis with some pinstriping. I just wanted some plain jane tacos so that’s what I got. I am disappointed to say that I actually found them inferior to Taco Bell, which is kind of crazy. I think it’s because Taco Bell crams their taco meat full of fat, salt, and assorted chemicals. Taco Bueno does have a fresh salsa bar but it seems a little out of place given the similarity to Taco Bell. Maybe I was just in the mood for Taco Bell that night. Will try Taco Bueno again.

I was so incredibly happy to see a Taco Bueno on my first trip to Central Louisiana! I wasn’t expecting it, and love the place from living in Texas. This location is right in the middle of a row of restaurants and food joints, and looked fairly new. The service inside was EXCELLENT — the folks were very friendly. The quality was top notch, too. Everything was pretty fresh. I actually went several times during my trip, and was quite satisfied each time. If you’ve never been, you can’t go wrong with chicken potato burritos. Never go to Taco Bell when Bueno is an option! Note: Note, this is not a five-star Mexican food review. This is a five-star FASTFOOD Mexican review. Taco Bueno is definitely not a sit down restaurant, but it is the king of fast Mex.

Ok, so I’m not big into Mexican fast food. I admit I used to enjoy Taco Bell in my younger days but now, I tend avoid it at all costs. However, I’ve recently discovered Taco Bueno. This place has been opened for a while now but when I would end up there with a friend or my husband, I’d play it safe with tacos. I have to say, now that I’ve branched out and tried other items on the menu, it’s pretty dang good! But I think the thing I’ve enjoyed most is the friendly service I’ve received while dining in. That will win me every time simply because I find it rare in this area. When I come across genuine kindness where people make eye contact and smile or even go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable or happy, that wows me. I would really only expect that in nicer restaurant where waiters want to get a generous tip. With that being said, here are my thoughts on the food. Keep in mind it’s still fast food so it’s not the best but it does taste more authentic than your average run for the border. All the items I’ve tried have been surprisingly tasty. The platters are great and so are the quesadillas. Expect huge portions. I’ve ordered a #6 and could only eat half. The taco salad is good too. I haven’t tried their burritos just because not I not big into burritos. Weird, I know. But my husband loves them and I’ve never heard him complain. With my current experience, I like this place. Is it a place I crave or go to all the time? No… BUT when I’m looking for something convenient and quick, this place is on the top of the list because of their prices and menu selection. If you can’t handle TMI, quit reading here. You brave soul. I also want to say that unlike other places, Taco Bueno doesn’t reek havoc on my body. Maybe it’s just me and my sensitive tummy but I’ve never experienced any issues with indigestion or the crappers. Yes, I went there but hey, I figure this is good to know for anyone who might have a sensitive stomach like me. You’re welcome.

The food here was good — huuuuge portions! But I was not impressed with the menu. The only chimichangas offered are for dessert?! What? The girls behind the counter didn’t even know what chimichangas were! I’m going to stick to my sit-down Mexican restaurants.

OMG! This place destroys Taco Bell. A little more expensive but well worth it. I can’t believe how good this place is. I will definitely be going back! Again, OMG! Delicious!

Terrible service. For various reasons I can’t eat beef. I can eat fish and chicken, so it’s usually not a problem. Asked if there was any meat in their sauces and they said no. So I got a chicken platter to go. Well, they put beef in their enchilada sauce and smother everything in it, even the rice and beans. I had to throw everything out. Maybe it’s my fault for expecting people who work at Taco Bueno to know what they put in their food.

Stopped in here for lunch. This place is so much better than Taco Bell. Just seems a lot fresher and they have a bar where you can get salsa, pico de gallo, japs, etc. They have daily specials also. The service was great and food was pretty good for a fast food Mexican restautarant.

Taco Bueno is by NO means Taco Bell, probably because they do NOT put enough seasoning in their taco meat. However, Taco Bueno has more choices on their menu. The Taco Salad is absolutely amazing and HUGE. If you want a Quesodilla … then you MUST come to Taco Bueno, because they are sooooo big and taste sooo good. The inside area is really small though, but it has a salad bar with all types of sauses to choose from. They close at 10:00 on weekdays and 12:00 on weekends.
