Tastefully Simple

Yesterday I made brownies with Tastefully Simple Gluten Free Brownie Mix. I really looked forward to how fantastic these brownies would taste. Considering I had paid around $ 13 for the mix PLUS shipping, PLUS tax, PLUS 1.5 sticks of butter, PLUS 2 eggs, you’d think I’d have a 5 star rating for these brownies. Sad to say, I am disappointed with the product. The gluten free mixes I’ve bought at Aldi have about the same taste for a whole lot less money. I bought this to help a friend with her ‘party.’ Next time, I’ll pass. Will head to Aldi next time I want a GF brownie mix. We did enjoy the Black Bean Corn Salsa but it was nowhere near worth what it cost.

Another example of wealth redistribution, suburban style… $ 5 for one mug cake… really? And most of the wealth goes to the corporation.

A few friends introduced me to Tastefully Simple and for a very brief time I used to sell it, but like many things I didn’t have the time to host all the parties and sell, sell, sell. However, their product line pretty much sells itself.
Their products are really tasty and flavorful. The names of their products are somewhat whimsical and cheesy, but taste oh so good.
The dips are really good and are so easy to make. It’s the mix, plus sour cream and mayo. Easy to bring places and quick to make.
My favorite spices are:
–Garlic, Garlic– which is a helluva lot of garlic. Not recommended on a first date.
— Bacon, Bacon
–Onion, Onion
One things to note with these is that they tend to get clumpy when not used right away.
They have great sauces to pour over chicken. The merlot sauce is pretty good on chicken and burgers.
A lot of cool drink mixes that I have sent to friends who like getting saucy on summer days. Frozen drink mixes that come in a bucket. Sangria, Chocolate Martini, Pear something or other.
Great seasonal products that always change Bread mixes etc. I loved their gingerbread mix.
Tastefully Simple comes in handy for the lazy cook like me. It adds a lot of flavor to certain simple meals and the dips are nice for bringing something last minute to a party.
They also have a beer bread mix that a lot of people seemed to love.
They have a lot of fun and easy products that can be ordered online or through a local consulant.
