The Gentleman Plumber

Fast, same-​day service for a leaking valve. They had to cut out some dry wall to get to it… left no mess, and cut it out very cleanly to the final repair and painting were easy to accomplish. Liked the service and attitude a lot.

You can’t get any better than this! While the name sounds expensive, this company is competitively priced and they won’t rip you off. They are honest, have professional integrity, and will get the job done in a professional manner. This company is highly responsive, show up on time, and works quickly. The Gentleman Plumber is the best plumbing company I have encountered so far and I have hired a few since living in Alexandria for 21 years. The Gentleman Plumber’s master plumber Andy Perkins has a great demeanor and really knows what he is doing. I had a very complicated situation at my house where another plumber from another company had come in and created a lot of problems and did not do the work up to code. Andy came in, quickly identified the issues and promptly remedied all of the problems in less time than I expected and the bill was extremely reasonable, because they work fast. I can’t speak highly enough about this company! A diamond in the rough, a real find!

I’ve used The Gentleman Plumber multiple times. The first was to replace three toilets. The experience was so good, I’ve since used them to change out faucets and replace a broken garbage disposal. They were prompt, courteous, and their price was fair.

The process was fairly quick to schedule the appointment, I did it all over email. They were extremely friendly and courteous. The plumber who showed up was prompt and nice.
The problem was that they could not fix my clogged sink in the 30 or so minutes he was here. To be fair my condo is unique in that the pipes are shared with my neighbor so it is a pain and he could not get the snake to the right pipe. But he never fixed my issue and he charged me $ 130 for the 30ish minutes he was here. That I could deal with but when I went upstairs to take a look at my bathroom it was a mess. There was crap on my walls and toliet and water on the floor. I would assume there would be some mess with a fix like this but he did not give me any fair warning or even attempt to tidy up he just left.
I eventually called my condo association who sent someone out immediately and in 5 minutes had the problem fixed.
Lesson learned for me, don’t call a plumber call my condo association to fix any plumbing issues.
