The Tuscany! What a fortunate find. The timing was perfect and we were able to snag a mad-crazy deal. So here’s the scoop: It’s a newer place– 2008 build, it’s well put together and has an excellent use of space. My place is just over 1000′ sq and I am shocked that it’s not bigger based on how it feels– very, very good use of space! This is key for DC metro since closets are generally non-exsistent, thereby forcing you to become intimate with every space saving product Ikea makes. Weeelll not this place! Nay. Nay I say; the kitchen has applaudable volumes of cabinet space which have then had their counters dressed in granite, ALSO bearing equally plentiful space. The bathrooms are of a decent size, although I will say that they could have easily made the linen closet 50% deeper and you would not have missed the loss to the room. The master bedroom is big and of a dimension that allows you to fit your things without feeling cramped. A slightly bigger closet would have been preferable but that may just be because I have way too many things. As far as amenities go; no pool(the only thing keeping this place from being a 5) and no lounge or office area for residents to use. It does however have a decent cardio set up in the exercise room as well as dumb bells and a bench to use. Perhaps two of the best amenities it has, is that there is shuttle service running every 15 minutes to the DC metro and for those on the go, there is an always stocked Starbucks coffee machine available 24 hours a day. It’s a good place to meet your neighbors in the morning too since it seems that they are there to get a hot, fresh cup of eye-opener as well.
