Me and my boyfriends family of about 13 came here for my birthday breakfast(aka the 4th of july). It was about 4 dollars a person and when you pay you receive a plate and get in line for a waffle. The waffle making station consists of about 15 cast iron waffle makers all making Belgian waffles, then 6 different types of syrups, a girl dishing out whipped cream and a juice table with milk and orange juice. We were all given one waffle per person and set off to choose our syrups. I choose pecan bin one corner, strawberry in another, blue berry and regular syrup. The whipped cream was just a batch of fresh whipped heavy whipping cream. Nothing special. The syrups didn’t have a very distinct flavor, although the strawberry did taste like strawberry and the blueberry was very blue. The waffle itself I found to be very very eggy. It was almost half omelet half waffle-pancake. I like my waffles on the crispy side and this was far from that. I was full on about half of the waffle. It was good but I don’t think id be back for another. By the time I did finish the waffle the line was out the door anyway, and dad was not fast enough to dish out enough waffles for everyone to have time for seconds. Although I appreciate the hard work and the organization, I think ill be getting my waffles elsewhere from now on.
