This dollar tree location is pretty good. I usually stop in on occasion mostly for party favors and balloons, and they usually have everything I need in stock. I always like to stock up on gift bows, ribbons and birthday bags to have on hand for occasions, and sometimes they have a pretty good selection of wrapping paper(yes the paper is thin and isn’t the best, but it does the job).

The time is Saturday. It is 12:30PM. There are only two cashiers working, yet four lanes available. The lines are nine people deep. This is a horribly managed dollar tree. Management should foresee that you need more than two cashiers on a Saturday. You are better off going to the Crystal Lake location. Get it together Algonquin dollar tree.

Compared to most dollar trees I’ve been to, this one is very clean. I always get my zip lock bags and cleaning stuff here, hand soap, some office supplies, even the off brand crackers are pretty good. I don’t really expect much as far as service, it’s a dollar store… but I’ve never had an issue. It’s usually very busy here. The only downfall is all the other shoppers in your way!

On the hunt for plastic champaign flutes, I wandered in here last week. It was the end of our shower-supply-buying-day-of-adventure and I was exhausted. I asked the two girls standing in the front of the store if they had any plastic champaign flutes. They had no idea. One of them pointed me in the direction of where they might be. I wandered aimlessly for a few minutes until I gave up. Take a lesson, Dollar Tree. If you have two people on staff and both are standing around doing nothing, maybe one of them can wander aimlessly with the customer who asks for help locating an item. It would have been better than feeling like a burden.
