Generoso Pizza

We lived really close to the Algonquin Generoso’s, so we gave it a shot when it opened.
Good. Stuff.
Now, I’ve only had the pizza — we moved before we really got to try anything else — but we had it several times and mmmm, good.
Let me describe the deep dish for you: Your standard thick, buttery crust … tangy, chunky sauce … with about five pounds of cheese on it.
I am so not kidding. That sucker was *heavy*. I managed to remove a piece to my plate and the empty space was filled back in with warm, gooey cheese. My taste buds sang and my arteries hardened.
If you think the best part of deep dish is cheese — with a good crust and tasty sauce as a mild afterthought — Generoso’s has you covered.

We won’t be going back. The cashier could not figure out how to apply a coupon nor fix her mistake for the life of her.
I ordered the ribs, now I was not expecting the world here, it was a pizza joint after all, however I could not even get my knife through the ribs. Upon further inspection these ribs were so dried out they were not edible. If it were not late and we had not had the problem with the cashier I would have taken them back, but the very thought of her trying to figure out a refund made me decide on emailing the business instead.
Well they must not care, never heard form them at all.
So not only have they lost my business I will be using the web to warn others. Bad business from start to end!

Amongst the plethora of fast food eateries, its hard to distinguish one from another. My family loves the Generoso in Algonquin, especially the Pizza by the Slice. I have one who eats sausage and one who eats pepperoni. and the little ones want the cheese. Pizza by the Slice saves up from ordering way too much pizza. We have also tried their other menu items when someone doesnt want pizza. A Generoso Cheeseburger will set you back $ 2.50 and tastes better than McDonalds any day of the week. Friendly people, great food makes this a must stop for that quick pickup for dinner or anytime.
