I love all the employees here! And they know me by name(maybe I’m there too much– oops) Always helpful and always complimenting when I try things on.

I’d have to agree with the other two reviews on this store. I visited this store this past weekend. Now originally, I thought the absence of any salesperson greeting me had to do with the fact that I typically wear a size 10 or 12, but I was really going into the store to check out their shoes and accessories. So, I thought maybe they gave me the cold shoulder because I do not fit the profile(physically) of their average patron. But, after reading other reviews, I see it’s not just me. I did not spend any money at this store. If I’m not greeted by anyone — I decide right then and there that I’m not going to spend money at that store.(Think Pretty Woman). The customer service at this store really needs to brush up on their sale skills. But, in all fairness, when I walked into Dressbarn next door, no one greeted me in that store either! Being a downtown, Chicago-city-girl Monday thru Friday — maybe people waaaay out in the far Western suburbs just don’t bother? I don’t know… it was weird though… felt like I was in the twilight zone. Needless to say — my $$$ went to other apparel establishments this weekend instead.

The employees here should be ashamed of themselves. Not only is this store a mess, but the employees are completely lazy and rude. This is the worst Lane Bryant i’ve ever been to. All the employees care about is talking amongst themselves, and if you need something you are CLEARLY annoying them. I was browsing the sale racks, and there were clothes all over the floor being stepped on. Clothing was half hanging on the hangers. I had two arms full of clothing, and do you think one of them would ask to get a fitting room started for me?! Hell no — their main importance was chit-chatting amongst each other. Three employees there, and not a ONE of them was either polite nor helpful, nor DOINGTHEIRJOB. When i asked for a fitting room, the lady didn’t even respond, just started walking over by me to open one up. I’d clearly annoyed her by having to walk a whole 30 feet. While I was in trying on clothing not a single one of them came by to see if I needed anything, or how it was going. Once I’d made my selection I went to the register, where the 3 ladies were still continuing on with their conversations. The girl who rung me up was a TOTAL miserable sour-puss. She barely even greeted me, and just looked at me with total annoyance, like she hated her job. It was all she could do to muster a «have a good night» at the end, and she didn’t even smile when saying it — LOL. This part, to be honest, cracked me up. It was like she was going out of her way to let me know she wasn’t a happy person and that she wasn’t having any fun. I usually shop at the store in Arlington Heights on Rand Road, and the girls there are so friendly and very helpful. They help you find things, they help in the changing room, and they’re FRIENDLY. Oh — and they W-O-R-K. I won’t be coming back to this location unless forced to. It almost annoyed me to even be spending money in the store after encountering these miserable and epically lazy women.

Be sure to be out of the store about 20 minutes before the store closes… or you’ll have a particular employee giving you a hard time about being in the store. I’m sorry you don’t feel well, but saying«…come on, we close in like 20 minutes» is totally inappropriate, horrible customer service, and just flat out rude. I might expect this from a teenager who is new to the working world, but this came from an adult in her 40’s or 50’s. I would have easily made it out of the store by 10 til close as I was just walking up to ask a simple question before paying for my stuff. I try to just go to the LB in Barrington off of 72 and 59. The staff there is extremely helpful and polite.
