AA Marble & Granite

Having never written a review before, I would have to be extremely irate to do so. The owner Arthur is rude and unprofessional. I asked him to give me a quote and estimate, as he was referred to me by my contractor. After asking for the third time, he texted me to tell me not to call him again because he doesn’t have time to do the work (are you kidding me!!!). He could have said that from the start instead of wasting time and screwing with my timeline.

I am hoping the prices are competitive. Unfortunately I do not buy marble/​granite table tops frequently (it was actually my first time). Once again, the owners knew my contractor by name. He took me there, I made a decision on what color and kind of countertop I wanted for my bathroom and purchased it. Looking at my pictures, they do have few different style… mainly 9 feet long slabs. The prices are not posted so the owners can just throw out any numbers at you (so do some homework first).
Once you buy the item, AA has an employee who will measure and cut the marble/​granite slabs to your size and liking. My contractor knew the measurements of what I needed so the guy was able to cut a square in for the sink I purchased. And yes… AA will charge you extra to cut holes in the slab.
Easy peasy! Pay with cash… you’ll get a better price.

The marble we paid for apparently was way overpriced as we later found out. We asked if they could cut the marble, they said yes, but failed to tell us it would cost an ADDITIONAL $ 100 to cut 2 holes. The lady Ms. Lee apparently was very deceiving in NOT telling us until the day we needed to cut the stone. All I can say is stay away as they are deceptive in conducting their business.

The Good Folks over at AA Marble & Granite are very friendly and helpful and worked closely with me to get me EXACTLY what I wanted in a professional and pleasant atmosphere.
They cut my Marble to precision and was able to make all of the necessary adjustments on the fly with a smile.
Ask for Amy as she is the one who took charge of my order and specs and got the job done to perfection for me.
I don’t know about everyone else but I rate the AAA #1 with 5 STARS for AA Marble!

I dont know about everyone else but i had a good experience here… beautiful granite and you will be paying a lot less than big chain stores… so show a little patience and you will be rewarded… :)

I don’t usually do one star reviews too often but some businesses do deserve it.
I decided to go with AA Marble based on the referrals I’ve received from my carpenter, friend and family who had purchased and installed granite installation by them. We went to the store in person 3 times prior to the installation to first, view the available pieces, second, to obtain a quote based on the measurements of my kitchen, and the third time, to confirm the price and form of payment. I also specifically asked for a certain installer (the owner) to install my slab of stone based on past installs I’ve seen being done.
When the day came to do the actual measurements, another installer showed up with the wife of the owner. I showed my kitchen sink to the installer and they took the cutout that came with the sink so it could be cut to size. I offered my sink to them and they said it wouldn’t be necessary. I expressed my concern about having another installer to install my stone but was assured and reassured that the installer would do just as good of a job as the owner/​installer.
The day before the installation, I dropped off the deposit in person and also expressed my concerns over having another installer to install the stone. The wife compromised by asking the owner/​installer to observe the job for the first half hour before taking off to another project.
On the day of the installation, the replacement installer had drilled the faucet holes for the kitchen sink too close to wall that my contractor could not install the kitchen faucet. By the time they had drilled the faucet holes, the stone had already been glued to the plywood. I was horrified and called the store, requesting that the owner to remove the stone and redo the job. The owner was initially reluctant to come out, but eventually did with his wife in tow.
When they first arrived, instead of assessing the job, they first defended their installer by saying that he is the best they’ve seen (really? So good that my kitchen faucet can’t be installed?), then proceeded to lecture me! He said, literally, that I shouldn’t be pointing fingers and blame his installer for a poor job since he is the best (a wtf moment came to mind). He then blamed it on my kitchen sink, saying that it is too long and not a standard size sink. So the whole purpose of giving them the sink cutout so they could have the exact dimensions is beyond me. I then asked him to please just take a look at the faucet hole before commenting further. He finally did and was stunned to find out that he himself couldn’t install my faucet (which is a standard Home Depot grade faucet) and had to call his «best» installer to come out and drill the hole larger and closer to the sink.
The whole experience was stressful, and left a bad taste in my mouth especially the way the company handled issues concerning a job.
I will not go back and will hope others will heed my warning to stay away.

I went in last Saturday and got a full quote for installation of new kitchen countertops and verbally booked with them to install on a specific date. However when I called a few days prior to discuss and clarify the quote they mailed me, I was told they could no longer cut the pieces of granite at their business. The lady had to go to city hall yesterday because they are a retail store and the city told them they were no longer allowed to cut granite in Alhambra.
So I after many conversations and calls in 24 hrs, I found out it was ok to cut at our place, so I called back excitedly to confirm. However I was told that they took another job that was bigger and I would have to wait a month if I wanted them to come do my countertops.
We had a verbal agreement and they pushed me back just because they received a bigger job. They told me this 4 days prior to the scheduled date of the work. I am so glad I hadn’t turned in my deposit yet. This is really terrible customer service as I was counting on them to do the work and the lady said it would be no problem from the beginning. That they would be there on Monday. But no, another bigger fish comes along and they just throw you aside. Pretty frustrating.
I would definitely not recommend them.
