Jeff Huang, CPA

After reading so many positive reviews about Jeff, I decided to meet with him for a consultation regarding business entity selection (s corp, c corp, LLC) that would best suit my new situation. He was very helpful in explaining the pros and cons for each entity type and helped me understand the taxation method for each. So far my experience with Jeff has been very positive. He called me back in a timely manner and even sent a follow up email which I appreciated. Excellent customer service thus far!

Looking for new accountant so I called to schedule an appointment, the lady on the phone says the CPA charges $ 250 per consultation. I told her I am not looking for consultation just looking for someone to do my taxes this year but I need to talk to him first before giving my business, of course I didn’t get to see him. Not sure how others do it but I just can’t pay a cpa to take my business before doing anything.

Did my first 1099 with Jeff Huang. Didn’t know what to expect but he made it very simple. Jeff even has me preparing for next year and dont be shy to ask questions. He will give you answers.

EXCELLENT service. Jeff is efficient and professional. He helped me to get my tax return done right away even though I was a walk-​in. I have rental properties, and he helped to get the most deduction from them. He explained depreciation and amortization very thoroughly. I would be more than happy to recommend him to my F&F.

If you know anyone related to tax preparation you know that they are incredibly busy from January to April. I contacted Jeff to help us prepare my return because I had some issues I needed help with. When I left him a voicemail he returned my call the same day and after a brief chat on the phone he clarified some things for me and it turned out that I didn’t really need his help after all. I just thought it so kind and helpful of him to take time to talk to me during such a busy season. If I need a CPA in the future I would definitely give him a call.

I had questions about a LLC I created but never used, so I wanted advice on what I should do. Only time I can make it to his office is after work (5pm), so we scheduled an appointment for 6pm Monday night. What should’ve been a 10 minute consultation turned into a hour. Usually, I would be embarrassed to take up someone’s time like that but he was very helpful, informative, and not-​pushy with his time/​attention. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend giving him a try.
Pros: professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely wants to help.
Cons: nothing to do with Jeff. I’m just disappointed that my LLC is completely useless to me. Should’ve consulted with him before opening my LLC.

Jeff is a great guy. Super quick, figures out what’s best for you. This is my second tax season with him, and he gave me some great money pointers. Great guy. If you need someone to give you some financial advice, go to Jeff!

I found Jeff last year after I moved from IL to California using Unilocal.He had some of the best reviews and well-​deserved now that I’ve been with him over a year now. I had a difficult time adjusting to CA state tax law compared to IL and being that I’m a physician moving from one practice to another it was more complex that standard fare.
Jeff was patient and kept his composure during our visits. I used to use H&R block online service and that was adequate for my simple returns. As I got higher in my practice and my expenses, income became more complex, it was apparent I needed a professional.
I’m glad I found Jeff and recommend him without reservation.

Because I have not yet had Jeff do my annual tax return, I can’t give him the five stars just yet. So far so good, though! I have only had an initial consultation and was very pleased with our meeting. He took about 15 minutes to hear about my fiscal situation and offer some broad advice. He was very patient and friendly, explaining things in easy to understand terms. He also signed me up for his print newsletter that is full of useful money advice and words of wisdom. He clearly loves the work that he does and is generous with his service.

We have been looking for someone not only for our taxes every year but someone to help guide our financial decisions. We just didn’t want an H&R Block. We wanted someone to show us how to «play» by the IRS rules while minimizing our tax liability.
We are very happy to have found Jeff. He was very thorough with our taxes and made sure we understood our return. He talked to us about our current deduction status and advised us how we could reduce out taxable income while adding more to our retirement (currently $ 0.00!)
We discussed checking in with him through the year so he can see how we’re doing and make any adjustments that may be needed. We’re very happy with Jeff and look forward to making tax time a pleasant experience instead of the dreaded chore it always seems to be.

I just started working with Jeff recently. So far it has been the best experience I’ve ever had with a CPA. In the past, I’ve never worked with a CPA that actually cares about your best interests. This is what sets him apart from other CPAs I’ve came across. In addition the the wealth of knowledge and experience he in his field, he provide great advice and is very responsive with my questions and concerns. I’ve already recommended his service to friends and family and have no doubt that he will provide outstanding service for you as well.

I’ve been using Jeff for about a year now. I am a doctor and have very little knowledge of taxes, especially when it came to corporate taxes. Jeff took the time to explain things to me. He is ok with dumbing things down to help me better understand my tax situation. He still takes the time to answer all my questions. He knows his stuff and is very willing to teach you. I don’t worry much about my taxes because I fully trust that he is using all his knowledge when it comes to my company taxes. He also does my personal taxes. By far, one of the most patient people I have worked with in any industry. Give him a call! You will be impressed by how thorough he is.

There is only one word I would describe Jeff Huang’s service: EXCELLENT! He recently became my personal CPA because he delivered the best customer service I was looking for the right person to file my taxes. I was quite confused on how to file my taxes but he gave me immediate answers that I was looking for. Then he provided my financial Q&As. I was very impressed by his work.
Therefore, I chose him over H&R Block because he gave me the same tax refund but an unbeatable price! The outcome of his service really showed how well he accommodated his clients. Not only that, I received my tax refund within a week!!! I was completely amazed how quick witted he was.

I’m very disappointed with Jeff. Here’s my story:
I recently graduated and started working. For the first time, I was making a substantial amount of money. I wanted to make sure all my finances and taxes were in-​line, so I decided to consult a CPA.
At our first meeting, Jeff was pleasant but seemed rushed during our 30 minute appointment. I was very confused with a lot of financial/​tax terminology and he attempted to explain it to me, but quickly lost his patience with me. He ended up preparing my W4 information and said we should meet again in the new year.
Before the new year, my employment situation changed and I e-​mailed him for advice. I did not hear back from him for a week, and after that, he was very short and succinct, suggesting instead we just wait until January 2012 to discuss further.
Today, I called Jeff and asked if he is available for me to stop by and discuss some changes to my W4 because of my new employment. He said he was busy today and wouldn’t be able to meet me. I said I was confused on how to fill-​out my W4. He told me to use the prepared W4 we made back a few months ago and to simply follow directions on the forms.
Again, I repeated that I tried to read the directions but was still confused. So, I pressed forward and asked when he would be next available? Again, he said it should be easy and just to read the directions.
If I wanted a professional to answer my questions, not to tell me to research my question and learn the answer myself.
I am very disappointed and would not recommend Jeff. If you are a person who likes to understand what is happening to your money, don’t go to Jeff. I feel he simply wants you to hand over information and leave the rest to him. If that works for you, good luck.

Jeff was very helpful. I work full time and could not meet him during regular business hours. He was able to work around my schedule and sit down and discuss with me my financial/​tax situation. I highly recommend him. Very nice and honest guy, definitely worth your time.

I’ve been looking for an accountant in the area for over a year now, and finally after reading the other reviews here on Unilocal,decided to give Jeff a call and try. And I’m really glad I did because Jeff has been awesome!
I was in a mad rush when I first found Jeff cause I was running late on my business tax returns and was about to leave the country for vacation in a few days. When I called him that first day, he was immediately accommodating and understanding, and offered to meet me in 15mins!
I explained to Jeff my situation, and Jeff was extremely helpful and patient in explaining the next steps and options we had. Eventually we decided on a course of action and Jeff took the initiative and was very proactive throughout the entire process about making sure we completed everything and he also took care of any/​all loose ends. With Jeff’s help, I was able to have all my complicated business tax issues resolved in just a couple of days.
I wholeheartedly recommend Jeff whenever a friend is looking for an accountant now, and plan to continue seeing him for the rest of my accounting needs!

I changed tax accountants this year. I think i found one that I will stay with! It is so hard to find a good account that takes the time to explain things and give you advice on future spending.
