Polly’s

If want delicious made from scratch cooking… Go to Polly’s. A small, quaint restaurant with daily specials as well a great menu from which to choose.
I live in Georgia and I am back in Illinois visiting family. My granddaughter and I met my aunt at Polly’s for brunch today and we all ordered the Ponyshoe. Smaller version of the Horseshoe on the menu. Made from scratch biscuits, covered with home fried potatoes, bacon and seasoned white milk gravy. Had choice of ham, bacon or sausage.
The first bite was exquisite … As was every other bite I took. Absolutely fantastic !!! I could not eat it all and will enjoy my leftovers for dinner.!!
Another customer got chicken fajitas. Had to go over and look at his meal before I left. Huge plate of chicken/​onions/​green peppers … And two other plates of fajita fixin’s.
They are closed Mondays … But if you are ever in the Alhambra area of Illinois … Be sure to check them out !
Next time I am back in Illinois … Polly’s will see me again !
