Ross Dress for Less

Have always enjoyed shopping at Ross to get a good deal on clothes to electronics! This is the first time I have experienced terrible customer service at the checkout register. This cashier must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, never heard of a place where they ask you take your receipt from the machine… she didn’t even bother lifting a finger and continued to talk to her co-​worker. Rather take my business somewhere else thankfully there are plenty of other locations near me where I do not have to come here to experience this again

This place is messy but you can beat the prices and now they have reduced prices! Say what?! I love it, they occasionally carry fancier brands like Michael kors and stuff. Ross’s prices are usually better than Burlington, so whenever I shopping I go to Ross first and if they don’t have it Burlington is just am across the street.
A previous Unilocaler said the elevator want working, it looks like they fixed it, yay!

I’ve always liked this Ross since its in the area for me and I can literally walk there in minutes.
I don’t want to say I’m cheap, more frugal then anything lol. But whenever I go shopping at the mall or something, in the back of my head I’m always like «Ross would probably have something like this cheaper».
Sure enough, they’ll have something similar!
Recently though, I gotta say their name brands are stepping up. Specifically, Nike and Adidas and Under Armor too! I recently came across some Kobe IX shoes and I would’ve gotten them too if they weren’t size 16 lol.
Overall I love coming here and finding something I wasn’t expecting for a good price too. Only thing is, it’s like a gamble to come if you want something specific and sometimes the store is a mess from rude customers. I feel for ya, retail workers.

My experience at ross Alhambra just made me not want to shop at ross anymore. It’s such a shame considering it’s near my place and I go there a lot. I never encountered such bad customer service and such gender discrimination involving my husband. Why have the men section open if your going to close the mens fitting room and not allow them to try things on? Not even in the female dressing rooms? Surely the supervisor could have gone above and beyond by looking over the fitting room for at least five minutes maybe even less. ugh so disappointed at ross. Thank god for the new Burlington that just opened across the street. Will be taking our business elsewhere.

Worst cashiers ever! Freakin rude and idiotic morons, not to mention pendejo asian or whatever the hell he is wannabe cop that stands in front staring into nothing, by far this Ross is the most horrible in everything even selection was really bad, bottom line you suck, Ross of Alhambra! Never coming back to this one

Horrible!!! Filthy, overcrowded with too much stacked & stuffed on shelves & on racks. Called today to inquire about an item & phone keeps getting answered «hola». Called back a 3^rd time & asked if it was Ross Store & she only spoke in Spanish. Asked for «ingles por favor» & she put me on hold. Someone came on a minute later & asked if I was being helped & I asked my question & she put me on hold. Another minute later the first person came back on & asked if I was Julio & I said no, then she spoke in Spanish & hung up! Seriously?!

Everything is a mess. And on top of that the lines to pay are long and slow. Took me 45mins to buy a shirt and tie for my husband

Purchasing from this place is fine but God forbid you try to return an item… They (Edith, one of the managers) treats you like a criminal trying to get away with some kind of crime! She is also very rude and refuses to assist you in any way further (and I mean that literally) when you try to get your issue resolved by asking for assistance by someone above her. «Corporates number is over ther. You can get it yourself. Next!!!» Is that really how you should speak to customers. Maybe stop and consider that they’re the ones funding your paychecks… I’m so glad the Burlingtons store is opening up accross the street from them in a couple of months. Not to mention the Target down the street as well as a Kohls on Fremont ave. Employees like Edith from this Ross on Main St. In Alhambra will cost Ross many customers and revenues in sales.

I come here pretty often (god knows why if the service is terrible) but I sometimes find good things here, rarely honestly. I just wanted to write this because I was here the other day and this indian lady who runs the upstairs dressing room is SOOO damn rude. She clearly is unhappy and doesn’t give a crap about her job. She talks to customers in the most sarcastic tone ever and I heard her YELL at a customer for bringing a hanger to her because she apparently didn’t have anywhere to put it. She was like «UM WATCH OUT YOU ARE GOING TO BLING ME WITH THAT HANGER!!! NO NO NO TAKE IT TO THE REGISTER I DONT HAVE ANYWHERE TO PUT IT HERE NO I DONT WANT IT» like wtf??? how is this okay? her stupid scarf was blocking her nametag but i’ll be back and i’m gonna snap back at her. She even accused my sister of trying to steal clothes because the damn lady wasn’t doing her job, and she wanted to avoid making contact with her rude ass again, so my sister decided to put her own number back and her own clothes that she was leaving on the rack by herself.

They have some deals but not on every item. They might claim to be very inexpensive but I found their prices on the same level with Target and other department stores.

0 stars. The worst selection of everything at this location. Ross quality of merchandise they bring in has gone way down over the years. But this location is worse than going to a swapmeet. Just bought a toy for my friends dog and walked right out. Dirty and ghetto.

This location is always crowded and I am not kidding. Parking is located behind the store. This store is 2 stories so there are tons of stuff. This store has a lot of random items and it just looks like chaos right when you walk in. The clothes are at least organized by sections and the sale section is a complete mess. I wouldn’t even head towards that section. My head starts pounding right when I look that way.
Besides from clothes, you can shop for shoes, accessories, hair devices, luggages, hair and skin care, bath accessories, kitchen ware, etc. There is even men section. There is even I can usually find something cute to buy but there is always a long line at this store.
Stop at your own patience. There is hidden gem in the haystack. You just need to take your time.

This Ross has 2 floors. Woman clothes, shoes, purses are up stair. Down stair has man and kid clothes, shoes and lots of kitchen and bathroom decoration.
I always come here to shop for jeans and shorts. Sometimes you can find some cute shirt, but most of them are less stylish. Clothes are on the floor everywhere and so messy, especially at shoes area so I never try to shop at that area.
I went yesterday because it’s Summer and I need some shorts. The cashier looks sleepy and she put ALL my stuff in just 1 tiny bag and some of my shirts are felling out from the bag. I asked for a bigger bag and she replied «I only have 1 left.» I looked at her and said «So I cant have a bigger bag because you have 1 left?» She waited like 20 seconds later and then gave me the bag WITHOUT giving me the receipt. So I just tore off my receipt and walked away.

They have a lot of good stuff for cheap, but I’d say most of it is less stylish.

This Ross is located right on Main St, next to a lot of shops. Parking can be found right behind it in the parking structure. You have to walk around from the back to the front for the entrance.
It’s an okay chain location. When I need something quick and and don’t want to spend much, I usually head here. First floor is women’s section. Downstairs is the men’s section and miscellaneous household items. There are elevators if one can’t use the stairs. Big plus for my folks and their nagging knees.
It can get a bit messy here because a lot of people shop here. If you know what you want, it gets easier. I usually find deals I need. Might not be the best or latest styles but if I need something quick and affordable, it’s a deal. No shame in trying to shop smart. Unfortunately for dress shirts, it seems every guy/​man wears my size so I can never find the right dress shirt size.
People, as in customers here can get rude here. The workers here, however, have been okay-​nice. That’s a plus for this chain location.
I like that they open a bit later than most stores.

The store was a mess and the cashier looked like she just rolled out of bed. Didn’t even say hello. She was yawning while she rang up my items. I was lucky she bagged my stuff. When the receipt popped up she just looked at me, so I tore off my receipt and walked away. Never going there again.

This Ross has 2 floors. I was so excited to shop here.
There was a full wall of size 10 women’s shoes! (That is my shoe size).
There was also a large wall of clearance women’s dresses, but not many clearance clothing items besides that. I didn’t see sale pajamas, shirts, or pants/​skirts.
I was surprised that I didn’t find anything to wear here besides shoes because the store is so big. The jewelry counter was also large but nothing there again.
My Mother and I waited for 10 minutes at the Jewelry counter without help, and then asked for help from an employee who was less than 5 feet away from the counter and was having a casual conversation with another employee. The gentleman at the jewelry counter was truly bored and not too happy to be helping. I got this from other store employees as well, however the cashiers were very effiieciant and helpful.

This Ross is a highly frequented store with lots of foot traffic. Hence if you want to find the goodies, you should visit on a weekday morning. Otherwise most of the good stuff will be gone and you will be left shopping in quite a messy store.
I was very satisfied with my visit as I was able to find some extremely comfortable work shoes here for about 75% off the original price. The handbag section was very well stocked and offered great variety.
Great variety of goods, great discounts on name brand items, plenty of parking in the lot behind, and decent customer service.

Some locations are a hit, some are a miss, and some are hit and miss… this one was strike three and I was out. I gotta say this is one of the worst Ross locations I have ever been in. *cringes*
If I never come back to this spot, I wont mind at all. It is a bi-​level store with nothing on the top level for guys interest at all. Downstairs you have mens, kids, house wares, and knickknacks. Upstairs you have womens, purses, and luggage. The items here were not of the usual standards that I usually find in a Ross. Consequently I went out empty handed.
The shelves and racks were in disarray, perhaps because it was a Sunday afternoon when I was there, however I am willing to take a bit it is just a bit indicative of how this location operates. You know the ol’ Needle in the Haystack system.
Furthermore the only helpers I saw here were at the registers. I literally didn’t see anyone wandering around the store to assist patrons with questions or finding things. It really stuck out to me how few staffers I saw. You have to park in back, but in time limited car slots. Just be forewarned, they do ticket these lots per some of the local proprietors of other shops nearby.

I used to like Ross… even when items were all over the floor and was super messy. Then I discovered TJMaxx. Now Ross is just super messy with items all over the floor. I’ve heard that you can find killer deals on jeans. I really wouldn’t know if I could find killer deals on jeans at Ross because I never had enough patience to actually search. and honestly, I find killer deals on jeans at Forever21.
What I used to somewhat like was the purse section, but even that section is a mess, and the items aren’t that great. Yes, overall, prices are pretty low. But, come to this Ross looking for great deals, leave with a headache.
