BBQ ribs were delicious and fall off the bone. Waitress was very nice and quick service. Heat was broken at the time but we made the best of it. Would go again for sure if passing through.

A-OK describes this place to a tee. I’ve dined here thrice, and, while the food is not exceptional, it’s solid. Their barbecue ribs are a bit overdone to my taste. I know most folks like that«falling off the bone» quality that some places go for, but to me the food is then just over cooked. Still, the flavor is good, and I like some of the sauces that they offer table side. On my last visit I had the chicken wings, which I’ve had before, and the skin was a bit rubbery. Texture is what wings are mostly about, and skin that’s not perfectly crisp bums me out, so I’ll skip these next time, or ask for them well done maybe. Again, the flavor was there. They offer a creamy slaw and a vinegar slaw, and I appreciate that. I also like the daily vegetable offering, which has been well prepared on all of my visits. Overall, decent food and friendly service in an area that lacks much competition will have me returning on my trips home from Ohio.

Me and my boo have been here a few times — the food never disappoints. Highly recommend anything pulled pork and the buffalo chicken, plus their little six pack caddy of BBQ sauces is cute. I like to try them and critique the flavors as tho I know what I’m talking about. Anyway the reason for 3 stars is the service– it is slow every time we go and the restaurant was damn near empty each visit. Cheddar potato soup was on point too, and the atmosphere and décor is festive and fun. But I just can’t tolerate slow service when there are no tables in a restaurant at 4 pm. Yanno?

I have ate at this establishment before, but surprisingly never had the ribs. Tonight, I got the half rack and my husband got 1⁄3 rack & pork. Fantastic! They were juicy with plenty of meat. We both dipped into the medley of sauces(if there is one thing in life I enjoy, it’s a variety of sauces). Husband loved Damn Tasty, I had a tie between the mustard & southern twang. Our little guy had chicken tenders l, had to steal a bite of his and they were defiantly fresh, not frozen. Our sever was great, I can’t remember her name but short dark brown hair. She was prompt & courteous. My only suggestion is to have some booster seats for the kin folk. The tables were a bit high and he’s «a big boy» now so he won’t sit in a high chair. Despite that, still 5 stars!

Out of all the times I’ve been to PJ’s I can not believe I haven’t reviewed this place. PJ’s has been one of my families go to restaurants when we want to go out and eat. However they have recently changed their menu a little bit and have raised their prices. My favorite salad I believe has gone up by $ 3 which is a stretch. Due to that reason we do not go here as much as we used to. But let me tell you about my love for one particular salad. It’s the pecan chicken salad here. And you have to order it with the Ranchero dressing that they make in house. The combination of the pecan chicken, the salad, the fries, and the dressing is unbelievably so flavorful it’ll bring a tear to your eye. It is by far the best Pittsburgh style salad I have ever eaten in my life. And the salad is probably the only reason why I would return to this place. Don’t get me wrong this place is great aesthetics and a great atmosphere for a great dinner and the service is always really great as well. However this salad reels me into this place like a fish hooked on a line!

I had this on my list to try for a while now. recently I had my birthday and I told my wife I wanted to eat here. I love a good BBQ and I am picky about my BBQ. I ordered the BBQ ribs. The ribs was very moist and fall off the bone. Exactly how I like it. Though I didnt taste any smoke favor. This was a big disappoint for me. But the ribs in general was very good. There had a good varation of BBQ sauces which I very much liked. Since I live about an hour away I would say I wouldnt make a special trip here. But would eat here again if I was in the area. Now if had a smoky favor to the ribs I proably would make a special trip. The 3 star isnt fair but I dont think a 4 star is worthly so I would rate this 3.5.

The ribs were absolutely delicious and the sauces provided honestly made it. The atmosphere was cute and fit the food. The prices were kind of high. The Mac and cheese wasn’t good and i had high hopes. Too dry and not cheesy. I had a side salad which was fresh and the ranch tasted house made. Overall happy with the experience and i’ll probably be back to try the pulled pork sandwich.

Was in town with my friend from Aliqquipa. We met some old friends at PJ’s. We had the grilled chicken salad. It was awesome. Blue cheese was delicious and the best French fries ever. Our waitress was great. We had a great lunch.

We ordered steak and chicken salads for take out. They were delicious and the fries they use are seasoned and were still hot and fresh(not soggy) even when I got them home. Also, I got the large size which was so large that I had some left over for lunch the next day. Only drawback was the cost, $ 48 for three take home salads. I thought that was expensive. But they were delicious.

Stopped before our flight. Pulled pork and bbq sauce was very good but you don’t get much and you have to pay extra for a side. The bruschetta isn’t bruschetta, it is a bit on the salty side and it doesn’t have any fresh ingredients on it like you would expect. The atmosphere is ok. The building doesn’t have any windows which struck us as odd. Overall our experience was ok but we will probably try something different before our next flight.

The best BBQ in the area. I get their pulled pork every time but their Ribs and pork combo is awesome too. I enjoy traditional smoky BBQ and this place has that but they also have the Carolina style BBQ as well. A must if you like BBQ. Love love love it!

Good menu. Good prices. Good service. Pulled pork was awesome and grilled chicken was cooked perfectly. 5 different sauces to choose from. «damn good» was my favorite. Fried pickles were good, not the best I’ve ever had but definitely the biggest portion. Can’t wait to go back!

Note: PJ’s no longer offers some of the items from my previous review, including the potato salad, fried oysters, and pulled pork nachos. Why? I don’t know, because they were all superb. With that sad news bit out of the way, I can still soberly state that PJ’s peddles rather excellent barbeque, their sugary, succulent Baby Back Ribs telling no lies with their smoky essence, scrumptious bark, and sticky sauce. Every bone slid out effortlessly. Every morsel almost needed no chewing. I went with a baked potato for my first side dish and found it to be amply prepared, its insides steamy and fluffy as per protocol. The second was a creamy cole slaw that did not lack in flavorful zing or soggy crunch. The onion rings were a cornmeal-breaded doozy that a fancier restaurant might pile artfully atop filet mignon. Recalling Outback’s Bloomin’ Onion, the appetizer came with a spicy ranch dipping sauce that coated each flaky golden hoop with milky, teasingly pungent, flamingo-colored glory. Praise be to the gods, PJ’s still has the Peanut Butter Pie, and it is every ounce the salty, devilishly rich triangle of foodlust you’d reckon it to be. The whipped topping(fresh?) topping does little to curb the chocolate fury that laces the entire cut from bottom to top. It is to crave ice cold milk. Some folks keep on sayin’ that we haven’t got the BBQ chops up in these parts. They ain’t been to PJ’s yet. P. S. The service was as terrific as it’s always been

Disclaimer: this is a story about a hamburger! Today I decided to give theirs a try. It isn’t terribly expensive, only running around $ 8. That price is for a base burger though, no fixings included. Each add-on costs approximately $ 0.25, so decking out this piece of meat can get a little pricey. After adding my typical lettuce, tomato, raw onion, bacon, and mayo, I sat in anticipation. As I spied my meal coming to the table, I noted that it was a good size, which is what I’ve come to expect from PJ’s. The burger looked like what I ordered and smelled like quality! I took a bite, and am happy to say that I was not disappointed! Did I fall in love with it? No. Was it pretty tasty, well made, and worth the price? Absolutely!

I come to the Pittsburgh area twice a year and always eat here. Delicious brisket and pulled pork and five sauces to choose from including North Carolina, Kansas City and Southern Twang styles. Portions are good. Big sports bar downstairs

The atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff was extremely nice. I had the Pittsburgh Pork and it was okay. Besides the tomato and cole slaw I think my pork was also a tad cold, like it was waiting on my fries to cook. I enjoyed it other than that. I enjoyed the BBQ choices, southern twang was my favorite.
