My daughter and I have been here several times and I have mixed feelings about this place. The manicurists, for the most part, are nice and friendly. Yes, they do talk to each other often in a different language. I do find this rude, but have yet to find a nail salon that doesn’t do this. I will say that they don’t do it constantly which is nice. Prices are pretty reasonable. They accomodate walk-ins pretty quickly. They aren’t pushy about add-ons and easily accept when you say no thank you. However, I question their cleanliness. I see jars of sanitizer at every station but have never seen them actually used. The last time I was there I watched my manicurist take a tray with all the metal tools she just used on me and quickly RINSE(no soap) them and take them to her next client and use them. This grossed me out. I also have not been impressed with their polishing. My last pedicure the manicurist used only one coat of polish and no top coat whatsoever. My last manicure the polish looked like a 5 year old painted them(polish all over my cuticles and lots of missed spots) and it started chipping the very next day.

Went there today after going to a competitor and having acrylics put on — they looked terrible, chipped & raised after 1 week and were thick. Decided to try Anjolie’s and was pleasantly surprised. I was helped by Kim who spoke English and we had great conversation. She removed my acrylics and applied gel instead. Went out a happy customer. Nice music, relaxing experience. Will definitely go back.

I gave this place a 2nd chance, and I could kick myself for it. They were very busy last time, and I felt very rushed. Went in today for a pedicure. Only one other customer in the place. The girl that did my pedicure barely acknowledged me at all. In fact, she didn’t say 1 word to me until it was time to pay. She tapped my foot or leg and pointed when she wanted my feet in or out of the water. She spoke non-stop in her native language to the 2 other ladies working. It must have been one heck of a conversation, because it did not stop for a half an hour. Not a relaxing environment at all. I felt like I was intruding. The quality of the polish application is horrible. I could do better myself. The girl told me $ 20. I gave her $ 25 in cash and she walked off faster than I could say«I’d like change». I assumed she was getting change. She never came back. I sat and waited for several minutes, and nothing. So I left feeling totally screwed. She did not deserve a $ 5 tip for terrible service and a bad pedicure. So lesson learned. I won’t be back.

Came here for a basic spa pedicure and left pretty disappointed. They weren’t overly busy for a Saturday, which was nice, but I’m starting to see why that is. The nail tech asked if I wanted my nails trimmed and proceeded to butcher the shape of my toe nails. She filed some down really short and left others fairly long. I also opted for the callous removal and that was a waste of $ 5. I’m pretty sure she just used regular lotion and a brush for the«removal,» so needless to say, it didn’t work. She did a good job painting my nails, but the top coat sucked, so the polish chipped within a day. Overall, it was a waste of time and money. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because they have a decent polish selection and the staff is nice.

They are ALWAYS able to take walk-ins whenever I have gone to get my nails done there. They use high end products and don’t skimp on the simple pleasures like a mini-arm/hand or mini-leg/foot massage with the mani/pedi free of charge. The nail techs will try to upsell you on adding another service or upgrade, but they don’t push any further when you decline. I have been getting my nails done with gel polish every 2 – 3 weeks for over 3 years now and the quality of the work is good with the exception of the occasional polish on the side of bottom of the nail that is hard to remove without removing some of the shape of the polish due to the UV hardening. That being said, anyone who gets gel polish understands the importance of a clean stroke of the polish because flaws are easy to see after the top seal coat is applied and set; this is something they are good at ensuring the polish is perfectly applied to the nail. I am a registered nurse and work with my hands a lot, including hand sanitizing more times a day than I can count. Sometimes my gel polish chips on the sides(only on the top) of my nails 2 weeks after getting them done where that part gets the most abuse. I’d chalk that up to just a hazard of the job and better the polish than my nail without the gel protecting it. Anjolie’s Nail salon always has specials, so my gel nails cost $ 25 every time. Love that.

I’ve tried almost every nail salon in the area and in my opinion this is the only place that is affordable for a simple mani/pedi. They have a great special offered Monday-Thursday that you can’t beat and they don’t continually ask over and over if you want additional services added on. At all other places I have tried I end up spending double if not triple what I spend here. It’s not fancy but it’s clean and quick and is now my go to place for a mani/pedi.

Went in here while waiting for an oil change on my car, they told me up front that a manicure was $ 14 and an eyebrow wax was $ 10. When she asked what color I wanted and I told her I wanted french tips, she told me «It’s $ 3 extra, is that okay?» I don’t know if it was just because I’m asian, or because they’ve read their reviews on Unilocal but I had no communication issues as far as pricing goes. Not only were they clear with pricing but there were pamphlets sitting at the front desk clearly visible with prices. I don’t know what everyone is complaining about. As far as service goes, they don’t bother to talk to customers much(which is fine with me as I come in to relax, not to talk.) Their work is mediocre, my nails were not filed evenly, some of them crooked even. The french tips look fine but the file job was pretty bad… and when my manicurist asked someone to come do my eyebrows(in Vietnamese, I understood) the girl she asked was sitting there playing games on her phone and replied(in Vietnamese) «I don’t want to… can someone else do her eyebrows?» It just seemed kind of lazy to me, she did an okay job because I only came in for a clean-up(as I get them done every week in Central OC, I just didn’t have the time today). Anyway, 3⁄5 stars for customer service and quality of service. Nothing special but decent prices.

Anjolie Nails and Spa is the only place I go to for mani and pedis. So any place you go to there is going to be a language issue, but it’s the care that matters. They always take their time and you don’t feel rushed or pressured into buying designs and stars and other crap other places try and sell you. If you don’t have any callus showing, they are not going to ask you for callus removal. The chairs are clean, I’ve seen them clean and log each time a new customer sits on the chairs. Take a look behind the chairs, they keep a clip board of all of their cleanings. They have high quality nail polish like OPI and Essie. They warm their lotion so when it comes time for the leg massage, it feels fantastic! They take their time massaging as well. That is what makes me happiest! They finish with a nice warm towel to wipe off the lotion, it’s very relaxing and the small things that matter. There are no prices listed on the walls so make sure you ask up front what the costs will be. Don’t wait until bill time to find out what you’ve spent, that’s common sense folks! I highly recommend Anjolie’s Nail and Spa!

Ok, so I really don’t understand the 1 star reviews. I have been to many nail salons and there is ALWAYS somewhat of a language barrier, so get used to it. I had the best experience here, in fact this was the first time at any nail salon that I was not asked to upgrade something for $ 5 more. I got a manicure & pedicure and she did a great job. At other salons they are sometimes in a hurry and the polish bleeds over into the cuticle(I hate that) or they don’t file my nails perfectly straight. At Anjolie I never had to correct anything, it was done right the first time and I left very satisfied and baffled by the 1 star reviews I had read before heading in. I chose to give them a chance and am so glad I did. I’m so happy to have found this place. Also, the music that was playing was very relaxing which made the experience even better.

Terrible customer service, I do not recommend going here. I went a couple of weeks ago to get a gel manicure, which was fine. I saw they had samples of cute designs for mani/pedi. I inquired about the cost for a toe polish change for one of the designs & the girl told me $ 6.00. I actually questined her & held up the samples & said, Wow, $ 6.00?” She responded«yes.» So, I went back today & told them I wanted to get a toe polish change & was looking at the designs(actually holding them in my hand) & again asked how much. The girl replied that it would be $ 6.00. So, I picked the design I wanted, had it done & when I went to pay she told me «$ 16.00.» I replied by telling her she quoted me $ 6.00& I also told her I had been quoted the same before. She continued to tell me it was $ 16.00& regular color is $ 6.00. I completely understand that the designs are more expensive, but why didn’t they communicate that to me initially? I was very clear on what I wanted done. The way she communicated to me was extremely unprofessional(big surprise). They have a very sneaky way of fooling people, as is also evident by the review written by Ramona H. Also, my gel manicure has peeled off of three nails after a week and a half. Have been getting them done elsewhere for seven months and have never had one peel at all. I will not go back there & will be sure to tell my girlfriends to avoid that place also. Too bad, as it is very close to my home & to many of my friends as well. They just lost lots of potential business. I contiinue to be amazed at the lack of customer service at so many places. Don’t they understand that there is a lot of competition out there???

Don’t go here. There are a lot better places. The main issue I have with this place is how they nickel and dime you for things that are usually part of a regular mani-pedi and shouldn’t be an extra cost. This was my second time. The first time I went, they convinced me to get a package that ended up costing around 60.00. The problem is that the services provided were nothing out of the ordinary, and should have been typical for a manicure-pedicure. Having learned my lesson, the second time I specifically requested the 29.00 special for a mani-pedi listed on the door. However, during the course of my time there, I was constantly bombarded with additional«options». The problem is that these«options» are presented as a courtesy and not an extra cost and, due to the language barrier, I wasn’t sure what exactly was being offered. As a consequence, I ended up being charged an extra 10.00 for having my fingernails buffed instead of polished, and something else that I’m not sure what it was. At other places, I have always had my fingernails buffed instead of painted, and have never been charged extra for it. I absolutely abhor this type of behavior from a business, and refuse to patronize any establishment that is so desperate to resort to this tactic to make up for decreased revenues. Although I specifically requested the 29.00 special listed on the door and thought I made it clear I did not want anything else, they still managed to sneak another 10.00 in the mix. Trust me, it’s not worth it. If by chance you decide to go here, make sure you inquire as to whether there is a charge anytime they talk to you about doing ANYTHING pertaining to your spa treatment,. Believe me, they are relentless in their attempt to pad your bill as much as possible.

I wrote a really long review detailing every part of the visit that went bad, but I realized I could just sum it up… EVERYTHING was wrong. Don’t go here. It was a terrible pedicure and I had to pay 29 bucks for it. Wait for Maryken’s to be open or go anywhere else. Awful. Just awful.
