Forget about all these new ice cream places popping up that use nitrogen or have you pick your flavors and it it inside a donut and on top of a cookie, I still enjoy just a regular scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream(or pumpkin if its around the holidays) on a cone. It’s simple, good and Baskin Robbins hasn’t disappointed me.

Overpriced and the teens that worked there aren’t always accurate. I was charged for a cone that they clearly advertised was free with a certain purchase and the kids that worked there(though, otherwise charming) first denied it was free and then said«it is only a dollar.» There prices are about 25% higher than other local baskin Robbins. I wouldn’t mind the higher price of there services was good. They have to adjust for that Laguna Niguel lease. Another day, I was carded. I don’t know what that was all about since I have never experienced that at any other BR visit there and any other places. I wish I was a secret shopper at those 2 visits. I will never return to this BR. There are plenty other options that I will grace with my dessert dollars.

This place always seems to disappoint. Went in for a couple of Quarts to bring home for the family. The prepacked quarts had large ice formations on the outside. I worked for BR as a kid for almost 4 years so I know what I’m talking about here. It means the ice cream had been defrosted and then refrozen. When that happens the ice cream is bad… unless you like ice crystals in every bite. Oh well I thought let’s get some fresh hand packed quarts. Went to the cookies n cream bin which was brand new and bingo ice crystals all over it. Not crystals from frost… there is a difference. Looked next at the gold medal ribbon. New container but this one had the left overs from the past container put on top and it literally looked like melted sludge. It’s obvious they had a power or refrigeration problem and instead of replacing what went bad, the management decided to re freeze it and sell it. All the while the place had about 10 people there with only 1 employee up front and 2 more in the back room totally uninterested in helping out their co worker and serving customers quickly. Needless to say, I walked out, went to Stater Bros and bought ice cream there. I love ice cream, love BR but this location always seems to fall short in some fashion. I miss the days of living in DP where the San Juan location was always a good experience. Get it right franchisor! It’s ice cream not rocket science.

My experience here was very different than others who wrote here. I ordered a clown cake and it was the cutest with good ice cream proportions. It came out exactly as I wanted and shoutout to the tiny hapa looking worker who was super polite I asked to taste several flavors before I ordered and unlike a lot of other ice cream places, she didn’t give me attitude and was patient with me. I also saw the worker make fresh waffle cones and I knew I had to have one. I got cotton candy(MYFAVORITEICECREAMEVER) and pistachio. The sour gummy worms were kinda hard at first but they get softer in the ice cream and compliment it very well. Overall, this place doesn’t deserve such a low rating based on my personal experience.

I went to Baskin Robbins for a ice cream cake for a birthday. I specifically ordered a cake with blue frosting and nothing on top. When I picked it up, there was chocolate frosting and ruffles on top I am very unhappy and will most likely not return to Baskin Robbins. Don’t order a ice cream cake.

I was horrified to see how downhill this location has become! We were the only customers there and we couldn’t find a clean table or seat. Then when my kids needed to wash up afterwards I was horrified by the bathrooms and took them to Stater Brothers to wash up. Check the pics

The girl behind the counter used her fingers to push down the 2nd scoop of ice cream on my cone. Enough said.

I wouldn’t write a review about an ice cream place but this BR is not happening for me. Maybe because this is aliso viejo and some of you would like to pay more for ice cream cause you have the money to splurge. But have you looked at those prices. Every other BR that I have came across in north Orange County, or San Diego don’t even have those prices. So one star for the prices. I rather go to cold stone up the street, at least they have a clean area when it comes to serving ice cream.

First off… Wow, Don B. from 2010… that’s quite a review… «I am in a rage!», she yelled. And punctuation goes inside the quotation marks, sir. Now, regardless of what may have gone on in 2010… in 2014 this BR location does everything it is supposed to do. Did you want some ice cream? Well, they’ll serve it to you. I did not encounter a stocky, short-haired woman working there who was shaking with rage and trying to take my picture with her camera phone — but I did encounter two employees, both male, who seemed happy to be working at BR and got us everything we needed. Our party of three had a hankerin’ for some ice cream — not frozen yogurt(which is our usual). We opted to go to Baskin-Robbins… it had been quite a while. A tall, skinny, young man greeted us when we arrived and was glad to provide samples of any flavor we wanted. I tried the Spider-Man flavor — you’ll know it when you see it… bright red and blue. Instead, I chose to go with a Reese’s peanut butter layered sundae. I’m not sure what happened immediately after my first bite because I was taken to a blissful state of nirvana while savoring the flavors as they streamed across my taste buds. I do recall the place being clean — but not spotless. Actually, one of the two employees was scrubbing the outdoor stone table during our visit. The employees, as I mentioned, seemed to be fine workin’ away at their summer job. Their shirts were absolutely covered in ice cream though… which is to be expected, I suppose. The ice cream was grand — and full of delicious calories I miss when I eat yogurt. No mention of the«ten dollar rule» with regard to credit card payment… but our order did come to more than ten dollars. There wasn’t any sign posted, however. This place, like all BR locations, is a bit pricey. I mean, my sundae was $ 7.29. So, overall, four out of five — and no angry rant from me! Just a pleasant stop for some ice cream on a lovely(almost) summer evening in the OC.

Went here on a January night, date night with the wife… greeted by one of the 2 employees. We looked and finally told them we wanted a brownie sundae, the more competent employee, luckly made our sundae for us. The other just shadowed him, almost breathing on our order the entire time… the lesser competent employee rang us up and we proceeded to leave. Not the best or worse experience, just had ice cream…

Obviously not as good as other ice cream/froyo places… BUT…I must say, Baskin-Robbins Rocky Road is still my all-time fave!!!

Cruised in here on a warm spring day after some grocery shopping. The young man working the counter greeted me and advised me that, if I wanted to try any of the ice cream flavors, he’d be happy to provide them. The problem is that I don’t get ice cream often so the names of the flavors baffle me. I normally default to chocolate chip, but I resolved to try something different today. I was certain I’d want something chocolate, but when I got to the lemon custard, I was smitten. The server promptly scooped a scoop, snapped on a lid, and I was ready to go. We chatted amiably – joking about it’s close proximity to Jenny Craig – as I paid my bill. A couple of downsides to the store. It’s in an older shopping center so it could use a facelift. The employees should have access to clean aprons. When an employee’s apron is visibly smeared with ice cream, it’s kinda yucky. Other than that – recommend.

I NEVER write reviews, but this experience was Repulsing! My husband and I hadn’t seen each other in just under three months due to work, and it was our first night home. We went to a beautiful sushi dinner and decided to grab some ice cream before settling in for the night. We live across the street and Have been here multiple times in the past. When we walk in the young gentlemen working was wonderful. A little quiet but very attentive and quick. Helped my husband in getting a three scoop sundae. This sundae consisted of bananas, three scoops of ice-cream, hot fudge and whip cream. I had two scoops in a cup. While the gentleman was finishing scooping my ice-cream, Crystal, who had no introduction or hello, approached the register where I was standing and said, «so just the two scoops and that ridiculous sundae?» this was not in a joking or friendly tone, but more of judgement and just and over all bad attitude.(my husband is 6’3 and 210lbs… not some overweight guy adding to sickness).she then proceeded to give us our total… $ 16.13. She charged my husband for«regular size scoops» without notice or warning, as she mentioned three scoops are always child size scoops, but we got regular size… again we did not ask for that, the mentioned bananas and whip cream were also a charge. We mentioned the price seemed excessive, and she abruptly interrupted me to tell me it wasn’t expensive and we shouldn’t order what we can’t pay for. I proceeded to ask her what her name was and she hesitated then said, «it’s on the receipt» I walked out feeling completely taken advantage of, and trying to remember the last time someone was that rude to me. Needless to say this really killed the mood to our night. I wanted to get her managers number so I walked back and ensured she was not helping guests and asked her managers name. At first she pretended not to hear me, then when asked a second time she border line yelled«ANN!» I told her that I was extremely offended by her attitude and demeanor towards me and my husband, when she cut me off again mentioning I shouldn’t buy what I couldn’t pay for. Then proceeds to come around the corner pulling out her phone and threatening to call cops as she comes close to me as I’m walk out. I am a mother of two, didn’t raise my voice, or curse, just simply mentioned my disappointment. I will be writing a letter to corporate, calling Ann first thing as well as ensuring i relay the awful service and treatment of this store to over 200 local clients of mine as well as bringing it up at the next chamber meeting. What a horrible ending to a beautiful night.

A Letter to Baskin Robbins Corporate: We are frequent customers of BR, usually in San Juan Capistrano or San Clemente. Today, my wife and 9 year-old daughter visited the Laguna Hills store while out shopping. The threatening and verbal abuse treatment they received from one of your employees is worthy of litigation, if I were a litigious individual. After serving my daughter a cone, the young man at the cash register was unfamiliar with the procedure of processing a credit card for payment. He asked another employee, a stocky female with short dark hair, what to do. This woman had been engaged in conversation with another female who did not appear to be an employee. She was visibly upset at her conversation being interrupted. «We don’t take credit cards for anything under $ 10», she yelled across the store. We routinely have used credit cards at Baskin Robbins locations for a variety of purchases and have never been told that. There was also no sign present informing customers of that policy. When my wife tried to point this out, this employee became belligerent and said, «It’s been that way here for ten years and that’s the way it is!» After looking through her purse for some cash and paying, my wife tried to explain there should be some king of posted notice. To tell a customer of such a policy after the product has been served and the customer is already eating it is not acceptable. The employee became enraged, was actually physically shaking. My wife asked her why she was getting so upset. «I am in a rage!», she yelled. The whole scene was surreal. My wife asked her why she was being so rude to a customer and asked for the name of the store manager. The employee tossed a piece of paper at my wife and told her to write her complaint down and she would give it to the manager. She also refused to divulge her name. My daughter was very upset by all of this. As they were leaving, the employee then yelled after them, saying that my wife was permanently banned from the store. Again my wife asked why she was getting so upset, to which the employee yelled that she was going to call the police and actually tried to take my family’s photo with her cellphone camera. The other woman, the non-employee your worker had been talking to when all of this began, then also became verbally abusive and threatened to call the police. When my daughter, realizing she had not taken a napkin, tried to turn towards the counter, your employee blocked her way. Your employee is very fortunate I was not there, because I would have called police and pressed assault charges. We will never visit this store again and I am going to post this note on various social networking sites, like Unilocal, etc… Disgusting behavior.

Baskin Robbins is good and I like their ice cream, but I don’t like this location. Although it s in a pretty happening shopping center which is convenient, this particular location is not good because: * Not too friendly * .90 cents PER topping(are you kidding me=ripoff!) * $ 10 minimum for credit cards!!! No wonder there is always a «Help Wanted» sign on the window. Based on my experience I’m assuming the owner is a cheapskate and doesn’t treat his employees right if he/she can’t even treat the customers right. How could they impose such higher per topping charges than other locations? And also impose a $ 10 minimum on credit cards=wow! How often are orders over $ 10? Save your money and go over to Yogurtland 3 miles down the road on Alicia Parkway in Laguna Hills= much better, friendly, and way more affordable.
