She was a great doctor. She closed her practice and moved to another part of the country. She is not practicing here.

I’m surprised Dr. Lukawski doesn’t have any reviews yet. She practices general medicine and she’s been my doctor/gynecologist for about 10 years. I actually live in LA now and I still drive down to see her for my annual exam because I haven’t found a doctor in LA that I like as much yet. She’s very personable and really takes the time to get to know you — she’s not trying to get you in and out in under three minutes. She really listens and she isn’t a pill pusher when it comes to treating you, as she also values supplements and dietary solutions when appropriate. Her appointment book is pretty full, but she’s not so overloaded that it takes two months to get in. I’ve had a couple of instances where I’ve been REALLY sick and the office staff was really great about working me into the schedule that very same day. I had a situation once where I had a really high fever and I just wasn’t getting better. She was about to go out of town for the weekend, but she fit me in before she left. After she treated me, she gave me her personal cell phone number and encouraged me to contact her if I didn’t start to get better. Luckily I didn’t have to use it, but that level of personal care and genuine concern for my health and well being is why I keep coming back to her. Also, if for some reason she decides you need lab work, there is a lab two floors below her office, so you don’t even need to take the order elsewhere. I usually book my appointments with Dr. Lukawski first thing in the morning and then fast from 10pm onward the night before so that I don’t have to come back and do my lab work later if she orders some(and she usually does). They don’t take Blue Cross insurance but you can file yourself if necessary. They also don’t take credit cards, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve forgotten that they don’t take credit cards and had to run over to the bank to withdraw cash to cover my copay. It’s a little inconvenient, but luckily there’s a movie theater with an ATM and a Bank of America in the same center. Parking is free and easy.
