Very impressed. All the food was fresh and taste very authentic. With all the middle eastern restaurants popping up good to see some are still authentic. Place is very nice and clean inside and well decorated. We will be back more.

I eat here so much its basically embarrassing. This is honestly one of the best restaurants Downriver. The bread is always fresh and delicious, the garlic is to die for, and the falafel is out of this world.

I ordered a carry-out dinner from Shish Palace this evening, although I do enjoy eating in restaurant. The chicken kabob dinner was fabulous, the flavour wonderful and you definitely won’t go home hungry. The Shish never disappoints! If you haven’t eaten there, you’re missing a great dining experience. Enjoy!

The food was delicious, the portions were large, and the staff was friendly and happy to take our take out order even though it was getting close to closing time.

I came here for my second visit and it was nowhere near as good as the first time seems like they were really slow for a reason. I got the chicken kafta lunch entrée and got the lunch pita instead(wrong order) my first bite I definitely tasted something weird and tried one more time but I had to send it back for a different sandwich which was probably the only positive thing here since they took it back quickly. Also sat down waiting for drink refills for 15min. The salad and fries were good but this is my last time here. For better food go to Dearborn.

YES! Do it! I would eat here every day if I could. The food was incredible and the service top notch. First the hot bread — oh my. I could make a meal of it and the garlic dipping sauce. Had the trio starter plate with hummus, baba ganoush and tabouli. Again, I could make a whole meal out of that, too. But no, I didn’t stop there. Ordered the chicken tawook I think, with the basil and lemon. Great flavor, really tender and juicy. Side salad was delish and huge. Loved it all!

Leaving Unilocal after being harassed here by more than one man in response to my one star review of this restaurant. I find that highly suspicious and I suggest anybody thinking of leaving a one star review for this establishment, keep in kind that I’ve been called names, had my looks insulted and my intelligence. All because of a review here, where I stated the facts and gave MY rating based on my visit. Pretty suspicious that these strangers are so concerned with my review of this particular place. Make of that what you will.(you can see the message I rec’d from Tom in my profile pic — the other lovely man who harassed me is named Jon J. — do either of these men work for this place? I wonder.)

Amazing, fresh food! I took my whole family. The waitress was so nice and understanding and helpful with us having a baby with us and 2 older children. The food was beyond amazing. Their garlic sauce is one of my favorites. Perfect mixture, not too spicy, not too garlicky. It was mild enough that I believe I ate the entire dish. Even my kids loved the food. My husband ordered the deboned chicken and I the chicken and hummus. Both were delicious. We had absolutely zero complaints. Finally I dont have to drive to all the way to Dearborn to get good Arabic food.

I’ve ate here a few times, this last week when I went, I noticed they started to serve the salsa with the pita !! one of my favorite things at other larger chain resteraunts that stopped carrying them ! So I was very excited to see this!!! The prices are decent and wait staff are pretty friendly and the building is clean!

My family and I visited Detroit for a weekend and found this amazing little restaurant a few miles from where we were staying. It was so good we returned for a second meal the same weekend and spread the word to our family and friends in the area. The service was fantastic, immaculately clean, reasonable prices and an incredible menu. We had a wide variety of food and there wasn’t a single item we didn’t love. The fresh baked pita will bring tears to your eyes! When we return to Detroit, this will be the first restaurant we visit!!!

The food and atmosphere was excellent, was greeted and seated immediately. The hostess brought out fresh hot bread accompanied by garlic and tomato & and olive dressing. Food out came quickly and was extra delicious. Only 10 minute’s away from Detroit Metro airport. It’s a must visit, wish had a place like this in my home state of New Jersey. A total 5 star experience and the quantity is more than enough for 2 people to share.

Love this place. Garlic sauce is potent and pitas are freshly brick oven baked to order. Good food bit a bit on the high end price wise in comparison but for this quality I don’t mind, and I don’t think others will either.

I’ll start by saying that I’m pretty generic when it comes to Mediterranean food(shawarma, kabobs, etc). I thought that Shish Palace was very good and a really good deal! We dined for lunch, upon looking at their lunch menu I first thought that $ 10 seemed a little expensive. I was wrong — it was a big value. When we sat down we were given complimentary pita and garlic«dip». The pita were being made in front of us and they were piping hot. I ordered the chicken shawarma pita which came with salad or soup and fries or rice. The salad was a full salad plate of greens with tomato, onion, cucumber and a really tasty vinegarette type dressing. The fries were really crispy and hot. The shawarma pita was large and I ended up taking home half since I was so full from everything else. The staff was super friendly and attentive!

It’s the Shish. Friendly folks. Nice food. Rather bipolar interior design. I think it used to be a bank but all and all good eats.

THISISTHEBESTARABICRESTAURANT I have ate at thus far!!! Being Lebanese and eating Arabic food everyday I would say this is the most authentic Mediterranean cuisine around the metro area! All the food here is fresh and amazingly good. From the chicken and meat screwers to the hummus. You can’t go wrong with anything you order here. My favorite is the chicken towouk sandwich with tomatoes. OHYEAH by the way the garlic sauce here is AMAZING not to strong at all. Just give this place a try!!!

I’ve dined in and carried out here a bunch of times and my opinion is that Shish Palace is decent Lebanese food for when I don’t feel like making the drive to Malek al Kabob. When it comes to my favorite Lebanese items, I’d rather drive the extra 10 minutes. The Fattoush here is on the bland side and, when ordered carry-out, the portion is a bit skimpy and the dressing is not mixed in so the veggies dont get that lovely well coated marinade that I like Their Mujadra sandwich was great when they first opened, but the last few times it was mushy and cold The Crushed Lentil soup is… just… gross. Now for praise, my husband loves their Chicken Shawarma, the garlic and hummus are top notch, and I like that they give you the hot bread with your carry-out orders too(instead of the flat chewy stuff in sandwich baggies). All in all, it better than most Lebanese places in the area, but pales in comparison to Makek al Kabob, which most people consider to be the best in Southeast Michigan.

Whether dining in or carrying out, this place never disappoints! Deboned chicken is always on point and their lentil soup is great. Best Lebanese food in the area

Wow! I tend to be a bit of a picky eater, so stepped way outside of my comfort zone trying middle eastern food. I went for lunch a few weeks ago, with a friend that knew the owner. I got a chance to try about half of the menu through samplers and the like. The food was amazing, I even tried the raw(meat) kibby. It’s «cooked» with spices rather than flames, and while it wasn’t my favorite dish, it was really good. The chicken dishes were all fabulous, the hummus was great. I didn’t try anything that I didn’t this was at least ok. Most of the food was simply fantastic. The lighting is a bit dark, even at lunch time, but that’s about my only complaint. Pricing seemed fair, but with no knowledge of other middle eastern restaurants, I don’t have a baseline for that. It was fair compared to other places I eat in general though. Service was courteous, and a tad slow, but I understand that’s because everything is prepared fresh. For fresh food, I’ll wait the extra couple of minutes. It wasn’t unreasonable.
