We used to love to shop at ACO. They seemed to understand the simple concept of getting free stuff by the truckload and pricing it to move — all for the benefit of the community. However, they recently remodeled and jacked up the prices randomly; some stuff is still cheap while other stuff is strangely high — more than retail in some cases. New management? Meh.

Absolutely love this place! We take all our gently used items to ACO Resale Shop. I am so happy to have a local shop like this to help out our community. It is conveniently located no matter where you live in Allen, and the staff is always wonderfully friendly. I know my donations go to good use, whether donated to those in need, or sold in the shop itself. I am proud to live in a community that cares so much about it’s people who live here!

So nice to shop at a store that supports the local food pantry and outreach programs for Allen Community Outreach. They strive to keep their inventory a cut above the usual resale store offerings. It is very organized and besides having a nice selection of home décor and clothing they also have furniture, sporting goods, housewares and a fabulous book area. You can find kids and adult books, CDs, VHS tapes, DVDs and computer games. The books are sorted by genre and you can usually find new releases mixed in with the others. Check out their website for special coupons and discounts. They even have a customer loyalty program!
