I had a meltdown after the situation yesterday and Jennifer took care of everything. She calmed me down, evened out the color and fixed the cut. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t a great cut either. Now I have a cut that looks like I put more effort in than a $ 15 job. I feel confident walking around with this hair! I was so happy that I decided to stay for a facial and I highly recommend that. I gave it 4 stars because you need to know who to ask for when you go. Walk-​ins are welcome but you’re playing Russian Roulette with your hair. Jennifer Alexander is fantastic, so I recommend booking with her. There are probably some other great stylists, Nikki just isn’t one of them in my experience.

I dropped in for a quick cut for my daughter. The lady asked what we wanted, «I told her 2 inches off NO layers». This is what her hair looks like after I washed and dried it. I can get over the layers, but I cannot believe it was not checked better to see if it was straight. I notified the owner via fb inbox and she had no response except for wanting to know «who cut it?» I think a simple, «I’m so sorry» could have been offered. She didn’t even have the decency to say, I’m sorry how can we fix it? This says a lot about the business she runs and we will not be back!

Note: Everyone here rents their own space. So reviews are based on individuals not the salon as a whole.
Hair: I use Kimberly G. She is awesome and so sweet. She is new to the salon and has a referral program. If you refer customers, you get a discount. I get full foil highlights, a trim/​shape up, and blow out every time. Love her.
Nails: I had a photoshoot coming up and was already in the salon getting my hair done and needed my nails done. Dara came in especially for me. I got a gel French manicure. She did a great job. Very happy.

This place was just okay. My boyfriend was satisfied with his haircut but he had to tell the chic cutting his hair exactly how to do it. What stuff to use etc. I am giving it such a bad review because their redeemable offer was misleading and inaccurate. I don’t think my boyfriend will go back. Also a men’s haircut is $ 27…

My experience there was dissapointing. Made an appointment with Nikki. A deep conditioning treatment was done. She didn’t fully dry the hair before beginning to curl it. It began falling before we even left the salon. Felt like a waste of money. It looked nice but only for a bit.
The total was $ 55. I paid $ 60 cash. When I handed the money over, Nikki and the woman working the register said thank you and to have a nice day. I didn’t receive the $ 5 back. They kept the $ 5 as a tip and didn’t even bother to ask me if I was even going to leave a tip in the first place. They just assumed. That was pretty rude. I looked at them in disbelief and I should have said I wanted my change back. But it seemed so petty then to call them out on $ 5…but then with the falling of the hair… I should have.

From about 1.5 yrs back:
I have black hair and went in to get dark caramel highlights
…came out looking like a bengal tiger (black hair with orange brassy stripes). I asked if it could be redone next day… and for some stupid reason I agreed to foot the bill for the hair color for the 2^nd time around. It came out a little better, but not what I wanted. Overall disappointing experience.

Great haircut and style. Very courteous staff. Will definitely go back for my New look for the new year!

So disappointing. Very unprofessional and the stylists do the bare minimum. I went in for a trim and the two stylists gossiped about work while washing my hair. I had water all over my face! In the middle of my cut she was ordering McDonald’s with her co worker. She then said my hair would look better if «we» had more time. I had plenty of time. This salon is not high end as it was recommended.

This place is terrible! Nikki is a nice person but, her highlight techniques (if any) were terrible leaving my hair brassy and damaged. She said this was her first job as a hairstylist. She couldn’t even fold the foil tight and the foils kept coming off my hair! She didn’t even wash my hair right after highlights and left a ton of bleach product in the back of my hair. I saw another stylist doing highlights and her name was Candice. Her techniques also seemed questionable. I was offered a free hair-​cut which I gladly refused! Look, I know these new hairstylists need to learn and practice, but the costumer must be told about them being inexperienced ! I had a very special occasion coming up and asked for their «best» hairstylist! If someone wrote the truth about this place I wouldn’t go and have my hair ruined! So, I guess you are welcome!

Image nation salon has someone on staff to cover styling every hair type. The salon is friendly and I recommend to anyone.

Melanie is an amazingly talented stylist. She always gives me exactly what I want. Every appointment I’ve had at ImageNation Salon has been personalized, relaxing, and I leave the salon feeling refreshed and looking my best. I never have to «re-​style» my hair after getting a cut, color, or style by Melanie like I’ve done with past stylists. This salon is beautifully decorated, meticulously clean, in a very convenient location where I can check off many errands before or after my appointment. The staff is helpful, friendly, and always accommodating. Thanks for always making me feel great when I visit your salon!

I received a spa finder gift certificate for Christmas. I have been wanting to get acrylic nails for a while and had a hard time finding anything on spa finder for acrylics so when I found image nation I called and made an appointment. About 30 minutes later I received a phone call from the spa saying the person who made my appointment didn’t know but «she» (nail tech) didn’t so acrylics only natural nails. But I could call «her» (someone else who is appt only but cannot be scheduled by calling the salon) and set an appointment but that my spa finder certificate wouldn’t be accepted. The person I spoke to was nice about it and said she could «try and work something out» but that I have to call the «woman» myself. I’m sorry that’s really, really poor customer service and I will take my certificate elsewhere. :(was really looking forward to spending that $ 150 at image nation… Guess they aren’t interested.

I had a very bad first experience here about 5 months ago. But since I very much like Kerastase products I wanted to give them one more chance. I called and asked for a great colorist, and was booked for Ashley. She is a doll, and knew instantly what I needed to bring my hair up to par. I showed her some photos I had from the past which I liked very much. We got down to business and the results were very nice, we both spoke about changing up a few things next time but at least I have someone who knows what I want and is eager to help.
Give Ashley a try, BTW she also gave me a great haircut!

I hesitated quite a while to write this review, because I think as a guy I am not supposed to use high end hair salons. But what the heck, I love my new hair stylist Heather. She is a pro, and finally gave me a grown up hair cut. The price is higher than super cuts, but still reasonable, and man can I tell the difference. So man up, and go into a salon.

Melanie Tawater from ImageNation salon has been doing my hair for the last ten years. I love the new location in Allen, TX. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the stylists are friendly.
