We have always been pleased with the quality of the food and the service here. It is mainly take-out; don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone eating in. We have been coming to Legacy Wok for 10+ years and have never had a bad meal. It’s a small family run operation and they have always been pleasant and thanked us for our business. I give it 2 thumbs up!

This place is terrible. Very poor service, especially from the know-it-all son of the owner. Their fast food Chinese good is below average compared to other fast food Chinese restaurants. After repeated poor service, we never order from here. It’s unfortunate because we live in a neighboring community and this restaurant is convenient

This place was absolutely terrible! I went inside on my lunch break from work to eat there and the lady asked me if I was taking my food to go. I politely said no and she gave me a dirty look and said«you eat here?» I told her yes I wanted to eat there if that’s okay she rolled her eyes at me. I said never mind I will take my business elsewhere and I left. I didn’t even get to sit down and eat because she was so rude

We had pretty high expectations for this place because we had read some good reviews and our leasing agent recommended it. I ordered moo shu chicken, but instead of the little pancakes you usually get, they brought me a sack of fairly dried-out flour tortillas. That was a disappointment. The hot and sour soup was okay. My husband said his chicken fried rice was excellent, and my daughter had sesame shrimp and thought it was really good, too. The crab Rangoon was not the best. Overall, it’s not the worst but not the greatest.

Better than most reviews I’ve read. Egg rolls delivered very hot. Gen. Tso chicken my favorite, very good– crispy but tender– good sauce. Broccoli chicken tender and flavorful. Fried rice very good. Delivery was ahead of schedule! Only negative would be price. I will order again and recommend!

Very disappointed. First time eating here so I ordered sweet and sour chicken to be safe. I also ordered crab wontons and vietnamese egg rolls. Except for the egg roll(which isn’t cooked) all of the food was overcooked and the chicken was about as tough as jerky. The batter was also dark brown indicating old grease. My gf ordered hot pepper chicken and there was nothing hot or pepper about it. The wontons looked so bad that we didn’t bother trying them. On the positive side, the vietnamese egg rolls were pretty good. Not the best I’ve had, but honestly if I had ONLY ordered the egg rolls and nothing else, I might have given this restaurant 3 stars. My overall experience is that this place is over-priced for the quality of the food. There are many other chinese restaurants nearby that consistently have tasty food for less. I regret having eaten here.

Worst chinese restaurant I have been to. The first time my bf and i came, i got a chicken dish and a chicken curry dish. The chicken was dry in the first entrée and hurt just chewing it and the second dish tasted bland. Im used to a thick and flavorful sauce which i didnt get. Very thin consistency. It was just not good at all. The rice that comes with it was just not edible either. Im asian and ive always been taught to not waste food but that night, i threw over half of it away. Thats how bad that food was. That was the first time. Now the second time, it was really late and we had a craving for chinese food so thinking the first time was just a fluke, we decided to try it again. Big mistake there. I knew the rice was gonna be bad so i opted for some lo mein. The easiest thing you can make, right? Wrong! They dont even use the right noodles. We got home, opened the box, and seriously was just shocked. They use spaghetti pasta. Wth. Spaghetti with freaking soy sauce. Ended up throwing that away because that crap didnt taste good either. Havent been there since. Oh, and they are cheap. Lady tried to charge .50 for some red pepper oil when at almost every other chinese place gives you like 3 – 4 for free. This place is just so bad. Lady is also rude too. We were waiting for our food and sat there watching TV which was very evident since we were commenting on it out loud with no one else in that restaurant, and she turned it off on us. Like, really?! So we just sat there in silence until our food finished cooking. A little bit awkward when youre watching a show and it just got shut down by the lady owner. Now to the positive part of reveiw. I know i will never be wasting my money on this crappy place again. You want a really good place? Sichuanese Restaurant or First Chinese BBQ on Coit in Plano. Way better quality and costs less than this place. Customer service may be a little below standards but i will never complain when they’re dishing out amazing food!

Always consistent, always very polite. We’ve been ordering takeout from Legacy Wok for at least 6 years and will continue ordering for years to come!

Very disappointing. Expectations were not high going into so I was not too disappointed. The lady who runs the place is rude. Her son is nice. If not for him I would have left before I ordered. We ordered three dishes. Veg fried rice was the best. The Dan Dan noodles were poor at best. The fried won tons were not edible. Egg drop soup was egg drop soup. Hot and sour soup was bad. Overall I see my self going back here. I wanted it to be good but knew it would not be

Terrible service!!!, I tried to order delivery and the guy pretty much got on my case because I wanted to pay with a Credit Card even though my order was pretty decent. He was very rude. They lost my business forever thanks to the guy who answers the phone.

We were extremely disappointed by the food. The Beef Lo Mein was lacking in beef, and the Kung Pao Shrimp had a total of 6 tiny shrimp. There were no vegetables in any of three meals, and for the price paid, it was really weak. The taste of the meals was decent, just very lacking in ingredients. Strongly recommend you not eat there.

We just moved to a neighborhood extremely close to this establishment. And by extremely close, I mean I can walk out my back door and be at their front door in less than three minutes. Wanting to support local«non-chain» businesses, my wife and I ordered«food» to be delivered. The delivery man was very polite and took a minute to chat with us while he was standing on our porch in the freezing cold weather. So far, so good. Now please keep in mind that my wife and I aren’t snooty tooty nor are we picky eaters by ANY means. We opened the food containers and we each prepared a plate of «fried rice»(awful), fried wontons(meh), and something(tougher than stucco) which was supposed to be sweet and sour chicken. Seriously, it was so overcooked that we couldn’t even bite into the meat of the chicken whatsoever. It was like trying to chew on a leather belt. And that’s just me being nice about it. So my wife and I discuss the option of going up there and simply letting them know that the chicken was not edible. No plans on raising h**l or making a scene. No plans on demanding our money back. No plans on ANYTHING other than simply advising them that the chicken we received could use some improvement. I drive over there(hey, it’s January 2nd and 37 degrees outside!) and I very calmly walk inside. There are several customers inside, seated at the few tables in the dining area. So in a gentle voice I explain to the woman behind the counter why I am there. The cranky little old Asian lady obviously isn’t grasping what I am trying to explain to her. She wants to argue with me about, «You pay for half order. You get half order.» No, D*** IT(!), when I’m sticking the leathery piece of «chicken» between my teeth and saying, «Ma’am, it’s overcooked. I can’t even put teeth marks in it», it doesn’t mean I’m worried about how many pieces of leather… I mean“chicken”…I received! She then stares at me like I’m crazy, so I ask if there is someone else I can speak with. She says«No, he busy cooking can’t talk you.» At this point I am still very calm and speaking as softly as possible. Then she starts to point out that we had already eaten some of the rice which was packaged in the same MELTED styrofoam container as the«chicken». (Well NO S**T, lady! We could actually choke down a little bit of the«fried rice» before we got lockjaw from trying to chew your crappy chicken !!) I politely asked her to take a bite of the chicken or even try to cut the meat with a knife to understand what I was trying to bring to her attention. She takes a piece out and looks at it, then slams it back into the melted styrofoam box. «Nothing wong»(LOL) she tells me while still looking at me with her little crazy Asian lady glare. Well, no more mister nice guy for me at this point! In my loudest voice possible I exclaim, «Fine! I was simply trying to help you out, ma’am! If you don’t want my business then you will NEVER get it again. Nor will you get my family’s, co-workers, or neighbors business because I will make D**N sure that they hear how I was treated here. « (Insert little crazy Asian lady glare here.) Maybe they should consider selling belt buckles to go with their leathery chicken. This IS Texas after all. :) Overall food rating: F– And they don’t even have a website. Not like it’s 2014 or anything.

This place is horrible !! I tried three times to make this my restaurant of choice. I live in the area so naturally I would choose something in the vicinity. FIRST they serve you food with undeviened shrimp. Why. accoring to them you have to specify what you want. Hmmmm… Please serve me clean shrimp! Not only that food is bad you can telll they focus more on money and not service. They charge way to much for what they deliver. NINE dollars for shrimp fried rice dirty shrimp, no scallions, hardly any veggies and just not good. Oh and its not even fried hmmp. NEVEREVERGOINGBACK !!! just lost a good customer. We order carry out every Friday. Fire the chef!!!

My husband and I LOVE Legacy Wok. This is the only place we order in from because it is delicious. The special on the back of the menu is a steal for the amount of food you get; two entrees, two rice servings, two soups, and crab wontons. The food is good and the people are always polite. They deliver quickly too. I like to use the leftovers to make other dishes too because there is always a ton left over.

Found this place while looking for take out online and riding home from work. Blindly called the number and asked for 2 orders of Veggie Fried Rice. When we pulled up I could see it was in a strip mall. As such, we had low expectations. It’s take out Chinese food after all, you almost expect it to be a hole-in-the-wall shanty. I walked in and the total was $ 17.90. I was pretty stunned it was that high and left feeling like I’d been had. The food was pretty good though. Well made and tasty. I think the owner drives his family van for deliveries. I think it’s a mom-and-pop establishment.

In all fairness, we’ve only had Legacy Wok deliver to our home. We just moved to Plano, from Los Angeles. We ordered the crispy beef which arrived still crispy and hot, and garlic shrimp which was excellent. The crispy beef has become a regularly ordered item. The delivery guy is really friendly and always arrives quickly. Food quality is good, the shrimp are large and tasty and the beef is never chewy. And the soups are yummy– though I wish their hot and sour soup wasn’t made with pork.
