New York & Company

New York & Co is one of my go-​to stores to find basic work clothes or summer dresses and was thrilled to see the Outlet Mall had a store here. This store is a good size, very well organized and clean.
Similar to another reviewer, I was not greeted when I walked in, even though I was one of the few customers in the store. In fact, the employees working on this Tuesday afternoon didn’t even bother looking up. Not a big deal, as I don’t really like to be pestered by sales people when I shop.
While looking through the racks, I could overhear snippets of conversation between an employee and a customer. At the time, I remember thinking, «Wow, that employee is rather rude.»
Well it got worse. I had a few questions and asked one of the sales clerks on the floor for assistance. Her response was condescending and downright rude. I was completely taken aback as she turned her back and walked away like I was bothering her.
When it came time to pay, I was met with a cashier who was even more curt and rude then the other person. She was snapping her answers at me and talking down to me like I was stupid when it was their credit card reader that wasn’t working correctly.
I almost cancelled the transaction and walked out. Instead, I waited a day to cool off and review this place. Hopefully, a District Manager will read some of these reviews and make some much needed changes. Until then, you’ve lost a customer.

First I would like to say that I love New York & Company. After having brunch with my friends we went into New York & Company. First when we walked in I couldn’t find anyone in the store. There was no one at the register counter. After walking around I saw two employees hanging up clothes. We was in the store for over 10 minutes and no one said a word to any of us. I watched 2 employees have a conversation by the fitting room and still no one addressed us. I would never shop at this New York & Company. Customer Service is always key. If we did not want any interaction we could of just shopped online.
