Went there after work with some girls for a few drinks and appetizers. We paid part of the tab with cash and part with my debit card. I looked online and noticed I was charged $ 10 more than what I left — I thought I’d give my bank a few days to finalize the transaction and it would be correct… Well, it wasn’t — so I called them and asked for the manager — talked to a guy named Reggie twice and explained how I was over-​charged. He said he’d have Jerry Fields (the manager) call me… well, I NEVER got a call and I contacted him SIX times. I know it’s only 10 dollars but if that happened a lot, then $ 10 adds up… GIVE ME MY $ 10!!!

Let’s start with the great live music on Friday night and the strong drinks but the strong smoke is a deal breaker

I want to complain about the smoke, but it’s a smoking bar. You gotta expect smoke in a bar that allows smoking. So let’s get right to it; the Dirty Rooster is great at providing a late night drink with a smoking friendly crowd. The crowd here is always friendly which is awesome, so you can come here alone and as long as you’re somewhat social, you’ll make friends. The staff is awesome, they fit very well and know how to treat a customer. They are non-​obtrusive and just friendly enough to let you know you count.
I’ve had a late night burger here after a few cocktails. The cook came out and bragged about his burger while dropping off someone’s food… I thought «whatever, can’t be that good.» I was wrong. The burger was great and came out pretty fast. I like when a place runs like cheers, so I imagine if I frequented this place, they would all know my name and would probably even laugh at my corny jokes.
The only negative was the police count outside. I can’t really complain since I live in Allen and want the roads to be safe, so I’ll just say «it may be smart to slow your drinking and order a burger before you drive home».
So in short, if you wanna sing and drink or drink and sing, and don’t mind cigarette smoke, you’ve found a great place to chill.

Came here during an open mic special. Crazy people party here. Lot’s of drunk, crazy, older people. Watching elderly people make out at the bar made us uncomfortable and there didn’t seem to be a standard of dress code with the staff. They all look like cheerleaders wearing ribbons and large sweatshirts. Won’t be back. Hardly ever saw the waitress and way over priced drinks for the quality.

No where to go out here but so my kind of bar. But So fing Loud. B Really. Can’t enjoy good music this loud. Turn Down Please. To much I s never good

First off, for all you non-​smokers, this is a smoking bar! If you don’t like the smell of cigarettes, don’t come in. If you do come in, stop crying about how smoky it is! Do you not have any better sense?!?
The atmosphere is great, the food is great, the drink prices are great, and most of all, the night time bar tenders are the best in Dallas. Other than the occasional pool playing bullies/​douce bags, you won’t go wrong at this bar. We love it, and we’ll continue to come back.
To the rest of you whinny haters, just go to Luby’s with the rest of the «stick in the mud» people.

Please read entire review before making a judgement. The food here, for a sports bar, is phenomenal. Additionally, the portion sizes are giant, and cheap prices. Especially, I would suggest the crispy chicken salad. The problem with this place is the smoke. It is at times, unbearable. I often just fet my food to go. Review is 3 stars only because of that. 4 – 5 stars for the food.

We were looking for somewhere casual and local for lunch on Saturday afternoon so we stopped in. First impression was that it is overwhelmingly smoky in the entryway. I thought maybe it was just trapped in that small area so we went on inside and it was 10X worse… I couldn’t hardly catch my breath and that was with no one really even in there. Sadly, we didn’t even stay to eat. They really ought to do something to improve the ventilation in there. I don’t mind that people smoke in a sport bar/​hangout type place but this was beyond anything I’ve experienced.

Yuck. I guess if you want the true bar experience — smoke and all this is your place. Felt totally «on display» but the crowd was nice and seemed cool.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. The place smelled so thick of smoke we couldn’t even make it past the entry to get a table. It was disgusting

I was becoming a regular in this place. However, over time I began to realize that the night bartenders have this attitude about them that’s kinda shitty. The last straw was a night I went to this place and found myself waiting 5 – 10 mins to have my drink refilled. So about the 5^th or 6^th time around, I yelled the bartenders name (Jasmine) to get her attention. About the 4^th or 5^th time I said her name she finally acknowledged me. She brings me a drink and tells me it’s my last one. I ask why? She tells me because I’m yelling her name across the bar. Seriously? F that. I’ve BANNED The Dirty Rooster from my places to visit! I would spend $ 60-​$ 150 easy every trip to this place and I tip pretty darn well too. Oh well. My money goes elsewhere now! Just wanted the owners to know their folks are turning people away for dumbass reasons when they basically aren’t pulling their weight! The girl that works days is pretty cool though.

Super smoky. And, not like a few people are smoking while they drink ventilated smoky. It was like an old lady’s house who’s been chain smoking since the 40’s and never changed the AC filter stale smoky.
We didn’t even make it to the bar.
I still smell like smoke.

Love this place. Excellent bar staff, reasonable prices and great live entertainment. This is a smoking establishment but doesn’t really bother me.

If you are in to cheap environments you might like. Be careful when entering this establishment if you are not a regular or if you are visiting the area. This bar favors it’s own and at the drop of the hat they will not welcome you.

If your not a regular at the bar your not welcome.

No kids after 9pm, I had to take my teen home;and SMOKING INSIDE… with poor ventilation.

Why 5*?! Cuz I think you’re rated on what you set out to do. Is this the Ritz? Hmmm lemme check…
Is it a fun bar, with good karaōke, good food, reasonable drink prices & fun atmosphere? Yup. Nuf said.
Mostly though; fun people.

Great for what it is. A local Sports Bar. It’s changed ownership a few times since I moved to Allen, TX ten years ago. It gets pretty rowdy on the weekends & they usually have a decent local band perform a few times a week.
I am no longer on the sauce (I don’t drink anymore). But sometimes drop in during the weekend to listen to the band & eat great bar food. The food menu is limited but what they do have always tastes great, if your a fan of bar food & local bands it’s worth checking out.

Generation Wasted is always an AMAZING show! Every THURSDAY this month you have the opportunity to rock; I don’t know why you aren’t here now.
Casual, smoky, good drink prices and the food is pretty darn tasty.

I’ve only been here twice. The last visit was because of a band. Didn’t really realize that it’s going to be a karaōke type thing. we stayed for a couple of hours because they are having $ 2 domestic pint all night which is I think is really a good deal. Will comeback if the band will play here minus the karaōke.
Beware. Smoking is allowed inside the establishment. You will leave with smokey hair and clothes.
