El Azteca

El Azteca was pretty good. Their tacos were delicious, beans were OK but nothing to write home about. We asked for a hotter version of the salsa that they give you w/​the tortilla chips. It was terrible. I enjoy hot salsa but this was hot just for the sake of being hot and didn’t have any actual flavor. I love a good flavorful hot salsa but they absolutely blew it w/​that offering. Hopefully they come up with a better version. (My fave Mexican place has a HOT salsa that makes me feel like a masochist; it hurts me but the flavor is so good I can’t help but want more!)

Decided to take my girl here cause shes a spanish major at gvsu and loves the culture. Everything was superb!!! The décor is vibrant and beautiful the staff is very friendly and are very fast at serving you. They gave us refills gave us boxes checked on us it was so nice. I ordered a steak taco platter everything came out steaming nothing was burnt. They basically give you a full plate of taco fixings then let you createyour own delicious tacos. Everything had great flavor and was very authentic. My gf spoke some spanish to our server and she noticed right away that she was well versed in spanish. Then as we we were paying the guy spoke some more spanish to my gf and told us a joke as we were leaving it was a great first time and we will be back for sure.

My family and I love this restaurant! We were so happy that a Mexican Restaurant opened once again in Allendale! The food is authentic and reasonably priced. Service is good, and the wait staff are very accommodating. One of my favorite items they make is their salsa. It’s amazing! If you love authentic, freshly made Mexican food, you will love eating here!

Great food! Service is sometime a little slow but worth the wait. They really need to hire more employees especially on the weekends.

Great salsa. Chimichanga was really good. Eat it before it becomes soggy from the sauce. Prices are higher than other Mexican places I been to.

Welcome back to Allendale! Great service, great tacos and the beer is very cold. The Texas Taco Salad is the best!
