Peppino’s Pizza

Disappointed with my experience with this take out location. I was told a half hour wait for my pizza when I called which is fine. However, it took 50 minutes for them to produce it and give it to me (carry out).
Upon walking in, nobody greeted me or even acknowledged me. In fact, apparently there was a guy waiting there who hadn’t even been helped and both of us got cut in line by somebody else who walked in strolled right up to the counter.
Upon paying, I was told about 2 minutes for my pizza (this would put the approximate time at about 35 minutes which is fine) but then I did not receive it for another 15 minutes!
Upon receiving the pizza it was clear that the toppings were put on last because all the bacon rolled right off the pizza slice when you picked it up. Furthermore, the pizza itself was extremely salty and hard to eat.
I guess I will look elsewhere for pizza in Allendale in the future where customer service is valued.

Still the best pizza in Allendale by far. But I am updating my review because I accidentally called the wrong location and only when I showed up at the Pizza Express in Allendale did I realize it. The employee working helped me figure out which location I had called (Standale). I thanked him and was ready to head to Standale. He said «no don’t worry about it, the roads are really bad I’ll make you the pizza you ordered here, and I’ll straighten it out with the other location». He had the pizza in the oven in a couple minutes and I barely had to wait. That was above and beyond excellent service. I really appreciated how quickly he was willing to make my mistake no big deal. I am a VERY satisfied customer. Thank you Peppino’s!

Best best best take out pizza in Allendale, and dare I say, among the top three in all of West Michigan. Yup. It’s true.
