Absolutely stunning church – a must see if you’re in the area. It was open to the public on a Sunday (11÷22÷15) at noon, however it was closed the day before around the same time. You can scamper around the rocks behind the church to get a good picture of the Jesus-statue-thing.

Known as Chapel on the Rock, this is a beautiful little Catholic church that is set against the backdrop of the Rockies. A stop here when traveling is a must even if you’re not Catholic as the setting is one of those places that you carry a camera with you for.
If the church is open take a few minutes and step inside and look at the stained glass windows and the architectural elements of this beautiful place, then step out and take in the fresh mountain air and you’ll understand why they built it here.
