Beautiful little park with a large play structure. When we went on a Saturday evening it was quite busy, crowded and wild. Nonetheless this is a beautiful large park with numerous parking lots which makes parking quite easy. I highly recommend a visit.

In a city with a lot of things really out of whack including a lying and corrupt mayor, Cedar Beach Park is truly a gem. Between this park and Trexler Park it’s hard to decide which is better because each one offers a lot. At Cedar Beach you’re talking four basketball courts, four volleyball courts, a half mile walking trail around Lake Muhlenberg, various picnic pavilions and of course the star of the show; the 1900 square foot destination playground which is one of the finest in the area even if some things after almost six years are starting to show their age like a few of the swings that are currently missing, but I digress. Not everything is what it could be with Cedar Pool being closed all last year due to a leak but at least it’s not like in the 80’s and 90’s when Canadian Geese overran the park and made everything a giant cesspool of goose shit to the point that city would capture hundreds or even thousands of birds a year and truck them to other states. But, between the pool, the playground, the sport courts, the variety of trees and the rose garden across the street it’s truly a beautiful place.

This park has a large pond with ducks that adds beauty to the city as you are driving by. As you jog or speed walk along the trails you encounter kiosks with weights designed for working out various muscle groups. There are rose gardens, creeks, bridges, weeping willow trees, picnic tables, bbq grills, playground, pool and benches to sit on along the paths. It’s common to see people taking prom and graduation photos in the rose gardens. Ambiance is ideal for shooting a movie scene for a chick-flick.

Great place for the kids and adults. Largest playground I have ever seen. This playground has a soft spongy solid floor. It’s maintained very well. Every item appears to be new. No graffiti. Best for 4 yr+, but my 2 yr kid had a blast. In addition to the playground are basketball, tennis, and sand volleyball courts. Plenty of ground for a picnic. Outdoor sculptures. It really is a great park, with lousy dirty bathrooms.

I love this park, my kids love this park, the little canal or whatever u want to call it is beautiful. Perfect for skipping rocks and geese watching lol. They also have a pool here, basketball court, volleyball, tennis and canoeing! Its a really big park with lots to do so naturally it attracts a lot of people. They do have tables under a pavilion right next to the park so u can bring lunch and enjoy it in the shade at a table!

Wow, this park is huge! We stopped here while we were in the area and I wish we lived closer so we could go back often. So many different contraptions for the kids to play on. I wish they had more baby swings but they did have these big cup-like things you could place your baby in and spin it. Just so many different things that you don’t see at your normal park. They also have bathrooms on site. A short walk away from the playground and across the street was a huge grassy park area you could take a nice walk or just set up a blanket to relax. Overall very impressive!

The largest playground I have ever seen(and I have lived in 3 countries and 4 states!) The surrounding park has so much for little ones to free play on if you get tired of the overwhelming playground. Most parents are good people and the«crime» element does not seem to have invaded. The Bathrooms are always sort-of clean and working – thanks parks dept.

I’d like to know the story behind this place. In my imagination, Allentown got a grant to build a playground, but the check accidentally got printed with two extra zero’s. So, the town fathers picked up the playground catalog and ordered one of EVERYTHING. The place is spastic. There really is a lot of stuff. Since the playground is brand new, it was pretty busy when we stopped by; actually, too busy for my toddler. I think this playground is ideal for kids 4 – 9. There are some innovative electronic excise games that are a serious attempt to get video game fatties to break a sweat. There are fast slides and climbing walls. I hope they maintain this place because it is a great addition to Allentown.
