12÷8÷14: still closed. Talked with wait staff next door at BrewWorks. They believe it will not open again in the near future. Too bad.

Awesome service, tasty food. Burritos are awesome! Similar to a Chipotle type shop but with a lot more of a selection. Definitely a try if you’re in Allentown!

The burrito size is good overall but there is no real taste to it. There are a limited number of bottled sauces but no homemade sauces for free like at Cali Burrito. This is probably the last time I come here and won’t recommend it. There are too many other better places at better prices than here which is really unfortunate bc they brew awesome beer. They just can’t seem to get the food correct, here or at Brew Works.

Went here for lunch. Service was good, food was okay but overpriced. I ordered the chicken quesadilla for $ 6.95 which wasn’t a bad price. But after adding toppings, chips & salsa and a drink, it cost me nearly $ 12 for lunch. The quesadilla consisted of mostly cheese. The chicken was shredded so much it was almost a purée. The«spicy» salsa was barely even mild. Chips were good. Overall it was over priced food that wasn’t that great. Probably won’t go back here for lunch.

The food at the Burrito Works is always sub par and I have on more than one occasion now paid for food that I didn’t receive. When I confronted the manager today, he basically told me that there was no way that I can prove that I didn’t receive my guacamole. So instead of giving me the $ 2, tablespoon of guacamole, he called me a liar and didn’t give me my guacamole, but he was kind enough to charge me again and food was awful. Avoid this place. The food is bad and the service is AWFUL!

The food was ok. I think that it could have been seasoned better. The service was good but then again it was not a busy either.

My wife wanted to try Burrito Works so we went today for lunch. We are on our stay part of our vacation honeymoon. We leave to try some food in Lake George New York departing Wednesday. Anyways. The Décor~ Boring although Coffee Works which is in the front has a very cool vibe to it thanks to the art of Chris P Jones. Burrito works is a dull red. With Unisex bathrooms. Also the lighting is pretty crappy on the chalk board menu I had to look a paper menu to order from. The Service~ Eh, Jess gave em a tip but of course I shave my stache and get the«Ladies» I’ll bring your food out to ya spiel, Jess didn’t have enough time to say«That’s my husband», so of course I lowered my voice and asked for the Men’s room. Thor the disgruntled«Chef» said about them being unisex. The Food~ We’ve had better at Cali Burrito. All Burritos served with Chips(unfortunately just fried, they seem to want to try to come off as healthy but baked would be far better, at least Cali Burrito gives you both kinds & Salsa. Bleech on the salsa ! Only one type and it’s far too heavy on the red onion and incredibly watered down. My wife tried the Hickory Turkey which is all-natural thinly shaved smoked turkey breast, kunzler bacon, spanish rice, black lager beans, mustard BBQ sauce, lettuce, roasted corn salsa and hot slaw. Although she got her minus the hot slaw on a sun dried tomato wrap. She said it was big and filling but the flavors just didn’t mesh well for her, she was less than impressed. I tried the Kickin’ Chicken which cage free, all natural pulled chicken, spanish rice, black lager beans, mild buffalo sauce, celery, jalapenos, shredded pepper jack and a side of blur cheese dressing. I like hot & spicy and this wasn’t extreme but If my wife chose to forgo the hot slaw she would’ve hated this burrito. I added a bit of Buffalo hot sauce to mine here and there, but it just seemed like the jalapenos were a bit overpowering on the flavor. Like perhaps they need to seed them first. I don’t know. Like I said I like hot and spicy but i want to be able to taste all the flavors and not just the hot. I mean they say their beans are marinated in the Fegley’s Amber Lager but I sure couldn’t tell. All in all I don’t see us going back, even after the arena opens.

It’s no Chipotle, but it’ll work if you’re close by and there’s certainly potential. I’ve only had the burrito bowls there a couple of time, so maybe the actual burrito is better. I think the ingredients are fresh, but the rice and proteins just lack some flavor.

Love the brew works family of restaurants, but I find burritos works lacking, to my dismay. The beer selection aside… which is outstanding… but was hoping for a better tasting burrito. Service was great, and I liked the layout of the place(coffee works is attached). Cali Burrito and Chipotle make a better burrito though… sorry brew works, hopefully food will improve.

I was here shortly after it opened. I made sure I went over there quickly as it seemed to have the same food concept as my beloved Neato Burrito in Harrisburg. I was right — but it’s sadly, no Neato Burrito. That’s not to say it’s bad — it certainly isn’t. You go down the line, much like you would for a Subway or Quiznos, and they make up your burrito as you go. Different tortilla options, meats, beans, rice and vegetable fillings. I thought the food was hot and fresh. I would agree this is def an American Mexican food — so tasty, but don’t expect authentic or spicy. I think it is an excellent quick lunch option though in downtown Allentown.

Delicious meat that belongs on a sandwich, not a burrito. That is how I would sum up my Burrito Works experience. There was no mex spicy flavor to this burrito. So if you don’t like the flavor of Mexican food, then this is the burrito for you. I had the pulled beef burrito with cilantro lime rice, pico, corn salsa, lettuce, black beans, cheese and sour cream. They mixed the toppings before closing the burrito, which I really appreciated. The rice was a mush ball in my burrito and I scrapped it out. The black beans had a nice flavor. I had my burrito in a flour tortilla. They also offer a wheat tortilla but that doesn’t seem to fit Mexican food to me. They almost got it right. The meat is seriously delicious, and I will be dreaming about it later. My hubs had the pork and it was just as good as the beef. But I wish they were making sandwiches instead of burritos. If they put that meat on a sandwich, it would be perfection.

I must agree with Candi that I would love to have a Chipotle closer than lower Bucks County, but Burrito Works can make a good, very filling burrito. My boyfriend and I had lunch there this afternoon among only a few others. Service was quick and I like that all of the meats are marinated in the Brew Works’ beers. I went with a wit-marinated chicken burrito with cilantro lime rice on a plain white wrap(you can also get a honey wheat wrap, but I’m not sure I want that flavor on my burrito, though I plan on trying it next time). Topped it with black beans, cheese, pico de gallo, corn salsa, sour cream and guac. I LOVED that they mixed up all the ingredients before rolling the burrito up — nice mix of flavors instead of getting all of one ingredient in two bites only. I could have used more guac in the burrito, but boyfriend and I shared chips and guac — both of which were delicious. The chips were perfectly seasoned with lime and salt — they didn’t even need the guac addition, though it was also very, very good. All reasonably priced and very tasty — I would recommend it as a great Valley burrito place, though it’s a bit out of my way and the street parking situation isn’t always desirable. Word on the street is that the Brew Works will be expanding their liquor license to begin serving beers in Burrito Works, as well, which I’d imagine will definitely increase traffic.

The one restaurant that we do not have in the Valley that I pine for is Chipotle. I was hoping that Burrito Works would nail it, but alas, it’s not Chipotle. But it is tasty! I had dinner there on a Friday around 6:15…very, very slow. They just opened this week and I think a lot of folks don’t realize that they exist yet. Kind of good that they were slow, since they aren’t really set up for volume. Perhaps they will improve their set up once they have more customers? This was once a Quiznos — the meat/cheese area is being used for the burritos, and the veggie area is being used for the pizzas. Prices are about what burritos will be…$ 6.95 for a burrito with pork, chicken, or beef. You can also get tacos, quesadillas, burrito bowls, etc. I did the beef burrito, no beans. The corn pico de gallo has a nice zest from the red onion and overall, it was pretty good. Just remember that the meat is a little sweet from the porter beer, and the onions & peppers were kind of sweet, so it was a bit of a sweet overload for me. I pulled the onions & peppers off(they were a little too mushy for me anyways) and enjoyed it a lot more. My husband had the chicken quesadilla and was raving about it… I think he had the whole food bar on it… cheese, chicken, rice, beans, peppers/onions, jalapenos & sour cream with sides of sour cream, pico de gallo and the pineapple habenero salsa. It was quite delicious. I do wish they had a really hot salsa without the sweet and maybe a smokier meat, but hey, I can only be so picky. The toppings were fresh and delicious and the price was reasonable.
