For my first hockey experience I had more fun watching the stands than watching the ice. This team could not get their offense together. They would constantly move the puck into the corners behind the goalie and pass up on shots in front of the net. I watched the other team slide the puck around the front of the net and set up opportunities for shots on goal.
42 shots vs 21 shots it’s no wonder they lost 2 – 1
However the teams mascot had fun with the crowd and also brought a few of his friends. Such mascots as the Philly Fanatic, the Iron pigs 2 mascots, the Orioles bird, Pittsburgh’s penguin and others

If you’re looking for an American hockey team that thinks hanging/​lynching mascots during the hockey game is funny, this is your team. I don’t know what they were thinking, but WOW, you’ve taken the lead as one of my worst experiences at a hockey game, and I go to at least one game a week between the AHL and NHL. If that was your goal, congratulations! Definitely not worth the drive from New Jersey.
