Beautiful place. Love the atmosphere! Very fun place to have drinks with friends and loved ones. Mellow colors and friendly servers. The bartenders are attentive. I had a great time with my husband and mother in law. I will be returning to Pistachios :)

My girlfriend and I went to Pistachio Bar & Grill to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. When I called to make the reservation, I was told that there was a new head chef, that had traveled the world and I’d really be impressed with his new menu. Unfortunately, they couldn’t have been more wrong. We both ordered the Petit filet mignon(medium rare) and crabcake dinner with roasted potatoes and green beans. What we received was a decent sized, lukewarm crabcake on top of a piece of thin beef on top of a pile of mashed potatoes. Next to it was a pile of under cooked green beans, broccoli and carrots. The crabcake was tasty but unfortunately was lukewarm at best. My «petit filet mignon» resembled a thin piece of sirloin. My girlfriends steak was well done. We brought it to our servers attention which she promptly replied«I’ll tell my manager». The manager came out and asked what was wrong. She offered to recook new filets which we agreed to. When she brought the new steaks out, it seemed as if they had only been on the grill for mere seconds. By this time, we were starved so we just ate the almost raw meat. We decided to order desert and out of the 5 choices, Chocolate Lava Cake seemed like the best choice. We were told that it was«homemade». Wrong again… When I hear the term«chocolate lava cake», I envision a WARM chunk of chocolate cake with a molten liquid center that oozes out when the fork cuts it. What we got was a chunk of cold chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream on top, with a cold syrup inside, not even close to being homemade. I can’t tell you just how disappointed we were with this place. Despite our complaints to the manager, she did not even offer to take anything off our bill. $ 92.00 for this meal WITHOUT alcohol was $ 91.00 too much. Needless to say, I do not think that we will return to Pistachio for a meal in the future.

I am baffled at what you charge for your version of a Margherita Pizza. Something as basic as this should not be difficult. Fresh Mozzarella, fresh tomatoes and fresh basil. None of which were used. Not to mention the knock off version of prosciutto. For $ 16, the pizza should be 2 inches bigger and definitely have the correct elements. Weak.

This is a favorite spot for me and my BFF. We love their unique salads, and when we have strayed from our usual and try another menu item or a special, we have never been disappointed. The service is not what I would call quick, so if you are in a hurry, choose another place. This is a great place if you want a nice leisurely dinner with friends and family. I have witnessed a manager/owner yelling at the wait staff in front of customers… that is a bit off-putting. If an employee makes a mistake, it’s ideal to reprimand in private. The food and libations will keep us coming back.

Excellence has returned. I have been coming to Pistachio for years and after some equivocation in the consistency of my favorite meals, the fantastic experience I remember has returned. Pistachio always had quality food. Seafood, in my case the crabcake, has even gotten better. The whole experience has improved exponentially with the addition of the new chef/manager. The restaurant is cleaner, friendlier, and has even added some less expensive alternatives. I’m going to continue as a loyal customer as long as this new manager continues to improve the experience.

The food and drinks were tasty, not sure if they were worth the total cost but what got me was the service. Took about 10 – 15 minutes to get our waters that we ordered as soon as the entire party arrived. Ordered as soon as waters and that came out fine. However, after that is when things went EXTREMELY downhill fast. We ordered another drink and after waiting 20 – 25 minutes and 2 others finished their drinks and were waiting to order their drinks. We had to go in and ask the bar tender where our waitress was and told her why. The bartender didn’t even know about the drink we ordered. She found our waitress who came out and said it was on her for the delay. So we ordered another round for the other 2 in the party and they came out in a semi-timely matter. Another 20ish minutes later we had to go in and ask for our bill because our waitress yet again disappeared. I don’t think we will visit again.

One of my favorites places for casual dining… love the Chopped Salad. Do you hate lines and waiting 30 or 40 minutes for a table? Me too! Don’t know why, but I never have to wait for a table at Pistachios. I also have never had a bad meal there either. Service, food and drinks are great! If you haven’t been there in awhile, you are missing out!

I was in the exotic town of Allentown for a business trip. Ya know, some people get to go to florida, Cali, etc. I get to go to Allentown. The meetings were incredibly boring but Pistachio was the best part! I had a chicken ceasar salad that was to die for. I saw some of my colleagues with some scallops and crab plates that looked great too. As if this wasnt good enough; the dessert was even better. I had tiramisu. It was the best tiramisu I think I ever had. The food was great and everything but the waitress was a little crazy. In the middle of our nacho and calimari appetizers, the waitress asked us to switch to a different table because she had another party that wanted to sit where we were sitting. I never heard anything like that before but hey, whatever floats your boat, I guess! Still though… the food was incredible.

I love this place! The food & bar is ridiculously good! The owner is amazing, any review saying otherwise is wrong. One of my favourite places. I don’t get to visit too often. I haven’t had anything on the menu I didn’t like. The best place in PA.

I’ve been here three times. Every time the food has been pretty amazing. I’ve had the pancetta pizza, filet mignon, wood-grilled chicken and all of them taste fantastic. I the service could definitely use some improvements. It took 15 minutes to be taken care of, and after we recorded our food we were not talked too until 10 minutes after we finished all our food. But again, the food is pretty on point.

If I could have I would have left No Stars! Horrible, horrible owner. He could not have been more rude to our group. When other businesses work so hard on customer service he acts as if you care less about your business. The restaurant has a a funky salad menu and we came to try out some new spins on some old favorites. The menu looked appealing but after a rude exchange with the owner about some of us not having a dinner at a table(apparently you must sit at the bar if care to enjoy some appetizers) as some of our group wanted to do. We left and will never return!

Once again this place is a disappointment. After not coming here for years a few girlfriends and i stopped in last night for some drinks and appetizers around 9pm. We all met there from various places. As we walked in we were told that the kitchen is closed. At 9pm? What a disgrace. Needless to say we walked out and went Over to Friday’s. A few other people in Friday’s said they walked out as well BC of the same reason. They lost a lot of customers that night. Thank god we left. Friday’s turned out to be great! ½ price apps and heavy pours on the wine! Turned out to be a great night. Pistachios never ceases to disappoint.

Been going here for over 14 years hoping things will change but it never does. One time they were out of bread. Another I was served beer in a water glass because they ran out of beer glasses. Tonight, they were out of ravioli — not a good look for a place the specializes in so-called«Italian» cuisine. Once again the bill was over $ 65 for two small portions and two drinks and I walked out hungry. This ain’t no white tablecloth restaurant either. I’d stay and get more overpriced food but they close the kitchen at 9 on a Saturday night. I have no clue how this joint has stayed open for 14 years but guessing overpriced poorly cooked food and slow service are popular with 30 something single yuppies and snobby West side housewives enjoying 3 martini happy hours. Since the décor hasn’t changed since the 1980s I imagine Pistachios will soon stop being trendy with this awful crowd as well. Unless you are in one of those two miserable groups, your better off at Carrabas across the steeet. The food is actually better for less with better Service and less douchey patrons.

In my experience(2 lunch/2 dinner) Pistachio offers some good quality food at the hands of great service. The only catch is you pay a premium.

Arriving after a fun bridal appointment, we kept a positive attitude as the service was horrendous from the start. We did not say anything to the manager(who was merely another server stating«she’s wearing many hats today) until 2 of the 6 meals came out cold. When thinking the server forgot to put my order in, I also mentioned this to the manager. The manager was nice enough to re heat the 2 meals and take them off the check but then the server then brings my order out late and had the audacity to tell me twice that she did not forget to put my meal on the order. The place was empty when we arrived so there was no reason why it should have taken 50min to take our order. The atmosphere is nice but only go here if you don’t mind cold food, being talked back to by your server and a nice wait to eat.

Simply horrible. Save your time and money. I’m not a fan of chain restaurants, but I believe that Fridays would be a better option.

Stopped with some friends for a drink or two after dinner on Friday night. Definitely won’t make my «must visit» places list. At 10PM at night, there was nearly no one eating, and the bar was half full. We grabbed a few tables next to the bar, and then I waited about 10 minutes at the bar to get a drink. They weren’t busy… only 1 of the 3 bartenders was actually serving guests(one was polishing glasses and the other just standing around). Since when does a pretty lady in a bar wait for a drink? Apparently this is the norm here. Also, no cocktail service at the tables near the bar. Unusual for the Valley. My drink was just eh… my husband’s beer was placed on the cocktail napkin while it was still foaming over, so that was a mess to carry. Needless to say, I don’t think we’ll be back. There are plenty of upscale places in the Valley to grab a drink where the drinks and the service are phenomenal.
