Progressive Vision Institute

I would not go back to the optical department in the Allentown area, my over all experience in the office was not at all bad, but when I went to get glasses I was treated like I was stupid and talked down to by the male optician. I was not the only one that was treated like crap when I was in the office, the male optician was talking down to his co-​worker and was not nice to her. I felt really bad for her, no one should be talked to in the manner he spoke to her and especially in front of customers.

So far I have had 1 actual visit. They cancelled my first appointment 1 ½ hours beforehand because the «doctor had an emergency» & wouldn’t be in all day. I rescheduled to a different day & showed up at my appointed time only to be told AFTER 15 MINUTES that my appointment had actually been the day before. When I told the girl it actually was NOT THE DAY BEFORE as I had repeated it back to the girl who made it to me on the phone as I had written it down in my calendar, I was told «The doctor will try to fit me in». After 45 minutes I was seen. He seemed like a nice enough doctor.
My second appointment comes & I get a call 2 hours beforehand to tell me, «The doctor had an emergency & they needed to cancel my appointment». Keep in mind, this is an optometrist, he is not a surgeon, he is not doing emergency operations that are pulling him from the office!
They actually do part of your eye exam out in the waiting room right in front of the other patients. This is the wackiest, strangest medical practice I have ever seen by a long shot. I’m not at all surprised that the reviews in here on their other locations sound just as bad. There was even another review in here where the patient said they pulled the same bit with telling him he had come on the wrong day! This place is a joke.
