Rascals Food and Fun

Are we all reviewing the same place? I see these other reviews are from just shy of a year ago. They must have changed their management & kitchen staff, because I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I had 4 orders of wings and each flavor was more interesting and delicious than the last. Friendly staff and a cheery atmosphere despite there only being a handful of other guests there, good food, good games, good times. In fact, the only game that wasn’t working was the punching bag game which was too high up for the kids to play anyway. I challenge those of you who were here in the past and were disappointed by their experiences here to come back for round 2 because we clearly did not patronize the same Rascals. Try the spicy raspberry wings. They’ll change your life.

Our experience at Rascals Food and Fun was GREAT! We liked all the new games on the game floor along with the helpfulness of the staff and management. The game floor could use some more games but other then that, we enjoyed the games the family did play.
We also ate food in the Pub. (not to mention had a fish bowl drink or two. LOL) and the food was very good. They may want to change a few of the menu items. looked a little confusing but food was great!

It’s only a matter of time until this place closes down. It went downhill since I was there last year. The ceiling was leaking water, the «ball pit» area with only a few balls had missing pieces of floor that creates a dangerous zone for kids, and some of the games and equipment were broken. It was also very warm. It didn’t seem like the air conditioning was working, blah! We ordered food that took a while and wasn’t worth the wait. The pizza was ok, and the nachos were yummy but the chicken was dry. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I really wish they would fix this place up — lots of potential!
Update: my son developed a rash on his legs and arms the morning after visiting this place. It resolved after a week but definitely made me question how dirty the place really is. Yuk!

We have gone here a couple of times for our son since it was close by, however the games and interior seemed to be getting dated. There are no balls in the ball pit any longer and the laser tag game didn’t seem to be working correctly. Not sure what is happening with the place and wish it would get a refresh since this is the only place that is in the immediate area.

I haven’t been here since I saw the bartender marrying bottles. For those not familiar with the term. This is when they take two separate bottles of the same liquor and put them together to make one, like diners would do with ketchup. Too bad its illegal. This place is a dump. Food is awful, service sucks, and it needs a complete overhaul. Won’t go back until something new goes in.

I booked a birthday party at Rascals for my 12 year old son. It was recommended by a co-​worker as a fun place to have a birthday party for boys. There were some hiccups through the few hours during the party. A group of boys went in for laser tag and were frustrated at spending $ 6.00 when the vests and guns weren’t working. I spoke with the server hosting the party. She was apologetic and had the money refunded to their cards. Many of the games were worn out and we lost money often. One of the boys lost their game card that had over 16.00 and ticket credits. They got him another card to replace the one he lost. Also, we had a boy who was unable to eat dairy and they accommodated his needs. I can’t lie, the place is in dire need of maintenance, but the server worked really hard to make the best of the situation. The boys had fun, what more could I ask for.

A few years ago this was supposed to be the Lehigh valleys answer to the Philly Dave & Bustars, well it fell very short, very short. It has continuilously gone down hill it seems from day one… Over priced food which is mostly bland. Arcade games are broke most days for what seems likes weeks on end. Will not return again.

Dave & Busters on a budget. Either I was too drunk or the food was truly awful. Came in for happy hour to end a long week. Rascals has everything form bumper cars, laser tag, bowling, tons of games, and a bar. Good for both adults and kids. You cannot get a DUI for driving bumper cars so I promote have many drinks and trying to drive a bumper car. Good times.

We decided to take our son there on a rainy Saturday to play some games. that was a mistake. Like the other reviews state — the place is run down, half the games dont work, the games are old and outdated, etc.
The food took exactly 36 minutes and the place wasnt even busy. The floors and tables were sticky. This was our second time coming here and now i remembered why we haven’t come back in 5 years. Never Again!

To sum it up, it was dreadful spending the $ 10 dollars on my Rascals Card. I got the $ 16.99 Food and Play Combo (Cheesesteak & 10 Dollar Game Play). I have not had a cheese steak in a long time and it definitely hit the spot along with the chips, sour cream and salsa that came with it.
On the other hand, it took me a long time to finish the $ 10 game card. Some of the games were not working that I wanted to play and I eventually played around 9 games of Skeeball (Quarter each), 4 games of basketball (2 quarters each), the toy crane game 3 times (2 quarters each), and a few chance games which you could win as little as 1 ticket to as many as 100+(if you hit the bonus). I eventually got 225 tickets and asked the game attendant to choose the prize for me due to the small selection of prizes.
The worst part was that I asked a few associates who worked there if they like there job and they told me that it was much better 2 – 3 years ago than now. I wonder what it was like a few years ago, but it is definitely a dump and you may have some fun for about an hour.

Food is dreadful. 5.99 for some cheese fries??? We are talking a handful of fries with maybe 2 tablespoons of cheese put on top! You can buy 3 LARGE fries at Mcdonalds for that price! The wings were horrible! Grubby and tasted like dirty old fryer grease. Seriously, we couldnt eat them. We asked for the Hot and Honey Sauce (from thier list of 24 signature sauces) and there was nothing hot about these wings.
Wait staff was slow and disengaged. Waitress forgot our waters until after we were done eating. FISH BOWL drink was fun, but was filled with alot of ice !
Games were dirty, outdated and broken. The games appeared to be «generic» games or forgien games. Never heard of many of them and many were not working properly and a total waste of money. With a 20 dollar bill, we only earned 250 tickets. Haha! Some of the games were hard to understand and were really dumb. The mini bowling alley was fun! I do give it that.
All in all, the place will close soon and it will be sad. The girl at the ticket counter was very young and bascially didnt know her job.
We wont be back here. Not worth the money.

Sooo place closes at 11pm. My friends and I arrive at 9 to a completely empty building besides the staff. I buy a card and right after the lady says «oh we may be closing early». So I said «probably should of told me that before I bought a card. Anyway, alot of games were out of order. Staff didn’t want to be there. The prize counter was almost empty. This place has potential, but it seems to me that the owners abandoned it.

The place seems to be on it’s last legs and if they were to close tomorrow I wouldn’t be surprised. We got the pizza and it was terrible. Under cooked and rubbery.
We were there at opening on a Sunday and the place was a mess from the night before. Trash full, carpets not vacuumed and beer glasses on the video games. Even the employees seemed worn down. Of the 6 I saw never once did I see a smile.
The place is dirty and ready to die. They can’t even afford a basketball as seen in the picture.

Place is dirty, games are broken or in need of repair. Last time we were here was about a year ago and they changed out very few games. This place is a dump.

I really want to like this place more but I can’t. My kids do have fun but it’s really starting to get run down. A lot of stuff doesn’t work or is poorly maintained. They have a climb around area that both my 6 and 8 year old loved. Plus a rock wall, small bumper cars and a small laser tag area. Other than that, a hodge podge of stuff and hit or miss as to what works.
The staff is helpful and nice. I’ve only tried their pizza which is fine esp for kids.
With a little love I think it could become a 3 to 4 star place but has some work to do.

Well, they served me a captain and a coke in a pint glass on a Friday. Good enough for me.

My daughter loves the place, but over the past couple years the some of the equipment and games don’t work well and place just isn’t well maintained. Lots of signs on the games saying broken and will be fixed soon. How good is the food? I’d say by kid’s standards it’s about average at best.
With that said, if you need to do something with the kids to keep them entertained this will do the trick every once and a while.

We went here for a few drinks last night and found that the night scene was actually surprisingly alive. The bartender was nice and the drinks were very reasonable.
If you are bored with the bar, stop in next door to play some arcade games.
Overall the place was okay.

This place used to be a great place to take the kids. We ate at the restaurant before playing the games.
The wait staff was great: very friendly & attentive. The food? Subpar. I ordered the Mexican Corn Chowder and it was served like they literally shook it out of the can. It was cold. It ended up being the best part of the meal. My youngest ordered the kids pizza and it was horrible. Almost tasted like vomit and he refused to eat it (& he loves pizza). My oldest ordered the Mac & Cheese. Should have just made him Kraft Mac & Cheese. He didn’t eat it either. I ordered the cheesesteak and once again, it was cold. My wife got a salad… smart move
The game room should have been the best part BUT: a lot of games were out of order; some didn’t give out the amount of tix won; there were two ticket redemption machines but they kept breaking down. Huge lines! We spent about an hour trying to redeem our tix.
Remember what I said about the helpful wait staff? The game room staff was the complete opposite. The standard answer for when I told them the tix redemption machine was broken AGAIN was ‘I’m not the owner’. Nice
This used to be a very fun place to go but it has gone downhill in the last couple of years. We will be making the trip the Dave & Busters in Plymouth Meeting when we want to go to a type of place like Rascals
