The Home Depot

I went in there this morning needing some plumbing help, This might as well be Chinese to me, I am clueless. I got to the plumbing department and told the man my problem and he instantly knew what I needed. I was in and out in 10 min. I would of been there an hour trying to figure it out on my own!!! I really wish I remembered his name to put on here.

It is tempting to bump up the rating for this store by one star, to give it a 5-​star rating, simply to offset the 8-​year old rant with one star. However, I will refrain, and give it a credible rating.
I’ve never had problems at this location. I shop here frequently, and shopped here quite a bit before I used Unilocal,since 2004.
This is a standard Home Depot. The location is convenient to I-​78. I’ve seen worse, and I’ve seen better. This is about average, and that makes for a pretty good shopping experience.

I love this Home Depot. I’ve frequented this place now and then throughout the years and never really had a problem. Nothing great, nothing bad. During this past summer we decided to do some renovations so I was there quite often. I distinctly remember being there 6 times in one day due to being unorganized and not remembering to grab all the things I needed.
The staff working there is hit and miss. There are «experts» or guys who really know their stuff and are very helpful with advices and suggestions. And there are the ones who are hired temps who don’t know any more than what’s written on the box. But I know by now who’s who. It does get busy on weekends, especially during the warmer months, and with limited experts to go around, it can take awhile. I believe John (IIRC) in the plumbing department was a lifesaver when we encountered unexpected problems, one of another, when remodeling a bathroom.
I like this one better than the other locations only because of distance and IMO isn’t as busy as the others. Definitely recommend.

This is my Home Depot of choice (and the closest one to us). I prefer Lowe’s, but if I just need a few quick things, and the Dries Do-​It just down the road is already closed, Home Depot is a fast choice.
We’ve had pretty good luck with our staff encounters when we can find someone — the worst part is finding help, especially on the weekends. I’ve waited 20 minutes or more for assistance. Not too long ago, we spent 30 minutes getting assistance in the plumbing department, but the older gentleman who assisted us was unbelievably friendly & helpful. When a blind order went haywire (three deliveries later, they still were not right), the manager came on board and tried to make things right.
Prices are on par with Lowe’s…sometimes a little higher, sometimes a little lower.

My family and I have had collectively one horrible experience after another. The store I find is hard to navigate. The staff is usually unhelpful and clueless. We’ve order things from them several times simply because there’s not a whole lot of places to go around here, and they have yet to order the correct thing, get it on time, or call and let us know it’s there. My parents even had a carpet they ordered stolen right at the front of the store, because the staff wasn’t watching. The place is run by idiots I tell you! Avoid it at all costs, and go to Lowes.
