Great sandwiches! I absolutely love their Veggie Hog sandwich! For years I have made a special trip to go there just for that! Their homemade chips are also very tasty!

Just incredible food, with large portions, prepared by people who have a love for good wholesome food. Breakfast there is always delicious and filling. I recommend the Henhouse. You won’t be disappointed. If you can’t eat a whole lot slit one with someone. That’ll make two people happy. Lunch is just as amazing. My favorite is the Wildebeest, but I want to try the rest of the menu to make sure there isn’t something even better. The soups and chili are all made there and taste great. My wife and I especially like the chili. There’s a «secret» for regulars there so don’t tell anyone I told you. On some Friday mornings there are specials like Wally Toast, Sausage gravy, cream chipped beef, etc. When you go there, you’ll find a busy but friendly staff who can explain a very extensive menu of delicious items. If you leave here hungry, it’s your fault.

Starting with the menu– so many choices but so hard to read. They use multiple abbreviations and don’t have a key. Menus like this frustrate me and make me want to just leave(stupid but true). I settled on a small chicken salad sandwich. It was good but nothing special. The sizes were crazy. A small was more than enough for me. My husband had a medium and it seemed like the perfect size for him. The only thing I didn’t like was the overuse of bread. I love carbs but three layers of bread is obnoxious. You couldn’t even taste the meat and cheese. The building was larger than I expected from the outside with more seating in the back. The building was extremely cold and made eating an uncomfortable experience.

For a $ 9 sandwich, I expected a bit more. Had the standard turkey hoagie. Not terrible, but not worth the price. Get better sandwiches at Wegmans or Lee’s Hoagie House.

Very, /very/sad news from a friend who’s eaten here for many years… their baker has stopped making those trademark buns shown in the picture, for reasons yet to be determined, and they’ve gone back to G.I. rolls like 1,000 other sandwich places. Those buns were what defined Wally’s, and kept them from being kicked out of their original location near Emmaus. Now unless some other baker can obtain the recipe for those classic buns, they’re going to sink into the doldrums as far as sandwich shops go.

Dope sandwich spot!!! I can never decide what I want when I get in here it takes at least ten minutes they have such a nice selection of specialty sandwiches and classics as well. The bread is the best part, it’s round loaves that they slice in layers it just makes the sandwich that much better for me I don’t know why. The waffle fries set it off; they are always nice and crispy. Unfortunately I live on the east side and stay loyal to the Broad Street Deli however, any time I am over towards the west side and need a great sandwich this is the only place I will settle for. I highly recommend stopping by here for a sandwich sometime.

Had a large squealer. What a sandwich. Don’t get me wrong, I can eat. However this sandwich is so large that I could only eat half for dinner. I had to save the other half for lunch. WOW. I will defiantly be going back again and again.

Great food. The hogs(their term for sandwiches) consist of quality meats and cheeses on fresh bread. My personal favorite is the Buffalo chicken salad with grilled chicken and Wally’s homemade ranch dressing on the side. A carrot or banana whoopie pie to close out the meal, and I’m walking on air. The service is usually not friendly, unless you know the owners, but the food makes up for it.

These are the best specialty sandwiches I’ve had, anywhere. My husband and I will generally pick one up at least once a week during the summer and go for a picnic somewhere. You can’t beat the chip selection that they have, either. I’ve been guilty of going there just to pick up a bag of the avocado oil chips. My recommendation? The Pecan Pig… Absolutely delicious.

Hands down, this place has the best sandwiches in the Allentown area! Be careful what you order though, because they are HUGE! I am pretty sure they use Boarshead meats for their sandwiches.

i was told that this was a pretty good spot for sandwiches. i am never in that part of allentown but today i found myself over there and happened to be craving a good sandwich. wally delivered on my craving. when you first walk in you see the menu board and counter which look like they have not been updated in twenty years, which is fine by me cause that is a good sign! there are a lot of choices on the menu. i went with the small Texas Tommy which was smoked turkey and turkey pastrami with a special sauce. i also got lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles and hot peppers on mine. it was interesting how they cut the roll it was like a big mac with a middle bun, one meat on the top layer and the other layer of meat beneath the middle bun and end bun. the roll was alright not great but not bad it was a little flakey for my liking, but the meat and the special sauce made up for it though!!! the meat was moist and juicy and seasoned really well. i really enjoyed the turkey pastrami! now lets get to that special sauce thats what made this a 4 star instead of a 3! it was a really interesting sauce it was white and creamy, and the flavor was awesome i have tasted the flavor before but cant put my finger exactly whats in it. it kinda reminds me of arby’s horsey sauce but less horseradish and not was thick. i think i actually tasted a little dill in it to. whatever it was it was awesome and really highlighted the rest of the sandwich and didn’t overpower the rest of the flavors which sooo many sauces can do on a sandwich! i will defiantly be back to try the sauce some more and try to figure it out! a small sandwich vitamin water and a bag of chips totaled 9ish dollars

The epitome of the quality deli. Great service and food in a clean friendly environment. They use quality boards head brand meats and they don’t skimp when it comes to putting them on your sandwich. They have some other unique sides like homemade rice pudding and avocado oil potato chips from North Carolina to name a few.

So, I had to go to my firm’s office in Allentown yesterday. Being the day after Easter, and not cooking for our Easter meal, my family did not have anything in the house for dinner. I called my wife and she suggested Wally’s because some of the people in my firm have eaten there and recommended the place We order up four specialty hog sandwiches, 2 Wally’s Decker, 1 Wally’s Special and a Oinker. These are some of the best sandwiches that I have had in a long time. I grew up in NJ where the deli sandwich is an art form. This place definitely rank in my top ten sandwich places.

Wally’s, I wish I worked closer to you. After moving to the West Side, out near 22÷78÷476, you’re just a bit too far away to pick up lunch in a reasonable amount of time. I miss you, though. What I wouldn’t give for a Hoofty or a Texas Hog. Or a patty melt. Or your delicious sweet potato waffle fries. Only complaint: don’t get the cookies. They’re hard and not especially tasty. It puzzles me why they don’t find a better recipe or supplier for those.

The BESTEVER sandwiches. My husband craves the Razorback and I always order the Veggie. Being a vegetarian, I tend not to enjoy deli restaurants. This sandwich has tons of veggies, sunflower seeds, and a great dressing. I highly recommend it for those sick and tired of settling for the cheese, mayo, and lettuce.
