Comfort food. We went for a birthday gathering and truly enjoyed. The strip steak was very juicy and cooked to perfection. The gnocchi was a bit bland, but I enjoyed. The family also enjoyed the prime rib(so tender they cut it with a fork). This place is a «northern thing» nothing like this in the south, too bad for us. Service was great! Family friendly! Reasonably priced. We will return(when visiting the area).

Our family has been enjoying this hometown favorite for years. The meatballs are fantastic. Great service and atmosphere.

Good food at reasonable prices. This is an Alliance tradition and personally recommend the lasagna as well as their bleu cheese dressing. On a recent visit I tried their open face meatball sandwich and am now asking myself why I never ordered it before! It was delicious! One thing I find strangely odd is there is no music playing. No Frank Sinatra, no Christmas music. Nothing. I think low music would improve the dining experience.

French onion soup is the best ive ever had anywhere! They sell out of it!!! Portions are large food is VERY good. Sits in a neighborhood, so you have to park along street if small lot is full Fourth generations are now going there! Service is good has a full bar one one side with dining on the other. An older mom n pop place but they make you feel right at home!

Love the sauce and the steak is very good. Seems like the portions have gotten smaller though and their prices we raised. I don’t mind paying extra but hate when they mess with the portions. I would say service is their weak point it is very hit or miss never know how it will be. But I do like the place. I wouldn’t bring a first date here if you are trying to impress them. Very dated but the food is good !

Came from Texas to see our son’s football game. On Thursday we had the Boston Strip Steak w/gnocci, which was fabulous. Then we found out they were serving Prime Rib on Friday so we went back. It was by far the best Prime Rib we have ever had.

Our trip to this establishment was rather disappointing. I feel like the atmosphere was similar to a cheap rental property. The food was average, nothing to brag or complain about. Probably will never go back. If they were to relocate on the other side of town, we would be a lot more likely to return. The trip downtown just isn’t worth it.

This is a decent and friendly place when in need of food or drinks. It’s rather small and can quickly become packed with the locals. Parking can be a mess. The food is good and reasonably priced. Vegetarians will find few options. The sauce has meat. Order garlic butter instead. This is the best place around to get an amaretto sour. The staff is very friendly. The service is great. The atmosphere is laid back.

If you like fried chicken livers(and I do) you are in luck. This may be the only place in or near Alliance that serves them. I swear by their shrimp cocktail– that’s some big shrimp! They are known for their pasta. Good place for drinks and dinner.

Having grown up in Alliance, I have memories of dining at Polinori’s over the years. While I believe the emphasis has always been on the bar end of the establishment(at least since Joe Muniz took over) they do OK in the restaurant end– the pasta is rather bland but I have always liked the gnocchi. Food here isn’t made from scratch or really even authentically Italian, but it’s one of those dive hole-in-the-wall spots that linger in the memory of a community. If you want authentic Italian there are any number of better establishments in the akron-canton-youngstown-cleveland-pitt area to visit. I recall the antipasto being nothing more than cold cuts and american cheese singles— folksy blue-collar American perhaps, but not authentic Italian. Still worth a visit as the menu is reasonably priced.
