This review is only for the red bean boba. Since I’ve moved away from Boston I still think about this from time to time. If you like red bean or ice cream definitely give it a try! Even my bf, who’s not a fan of red bean, liked it :)

I like it here and I’ve never had a problem in the past. I used to always go and there would be this one guy at the counter(he didn’t really look asian) but he was always super duper nice. He would be there with an older asian woman. But the last couple of time I’ve been there, there were 2 younger asian girls. not saying their service was bad but it wasn’t great either. I would come here for a light dessert and like everyone else gets, I always get the bingsoo, the fruit one in particular! My bingsoo used to be always on point when the guy makes it, it was so flavorful. But since they’ve changed workers the bingsoo does come out a little watered down. I’ve only had the coffee/bubble tea once and it tasted fine to me. Great place to just hang out and relax.

I mainly just come here to study with friends. They have music playing in the background though so if you like quiet studying places, this is not the place to go to. There’s also the background noise of the frozen yogurt machines. Their red bean smoothie is my hands down favorite. I don’t go anywhere else if I’m craving for it.

The place isn’t bad. It’s quaint and they have jenga pieces that you can play with friends. But, I’m giving this place a 3-star review because when I went, they ran out of milk tea. I was surprised because it was pretty early in the evening, and milk tea is a staple drink at Asian cafes. It has made me wary of returning because I’m never sure if the place will have milk tea or not.

Looking at pictures of the bingsoo posted here, I was so excited to get a fruit bingsoo. When it came out it didn’t even look like a bingsoo… Where is the shaved ice nowhere to be found.(You can see my sad bingsoo picture) Never again and I am never coming again! First, there is barely any shaved ice? Secondly, there’s barely any fruit. If you are going to be cheap don’t be cheap on everything all around!(At least fluff it up with some shaved ice) There was 4 pieces of boba in my FRUIT bingsoo that I actually mistaken for a blueberry! The pineapple was canned pineapples. Everything was just wrong.

This place is great to study, have a quiet talk or play games. They have quiet music on, usuallly something relaxing and quiet. There’s usually a good mix of people(some cafes tend to cater to a certain race or ethnicity). The worker is always very couteous(only been here on saturdays and sundays. Not sure about the workers here on other days), and he brings the drinks to wherever you’re seated. The coffee boba milk tea is pretty great. As for the internet café part, I personally haven’t used them. I have seen others use them, mostly for email checking purposes. I truly believe this place should have a higher rating than it does.

If I could give this place a zero I would. Came in cause I wanted an ice cream sundae. I know they have ice cream scoops and a banana split. So I come in ask the guy if they have an ice cream sundae he responds rudely and just points to the chalkboard that says ice cream $ 3.50. I’ve gotten their ice cream and it’s just an ice cream scoop on a cup so I know that the 3.50 price is not the price of a sundae. After I tell him«no not an ice cream scoop, but an ice cream sundae» he looks at me like I’m crazy and goes yea… Ice cream. So I proceed to tell him that a sundae is a scoop of ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. He then says no. So I say okay I’ll take the banana split. And I tell him can I choose the flavors. He says no. You can only choose from strawberry chocolate and vanilla. Mind you the price of all the different Ice cream flavors are 3.50. I say okay and tell him I don’t eat chocolate ice cream can I switch it for a different flavor. He says no. I tell him but I don’t want the chocolate ice cream. I say why can’t you just add a scoop of vanilla. He says cause it’s a diff price. I literally look at him and say ITSVANILLA. He goes oh yes you can switch it. By this point I’m just annoyed. So I say forget it I don’t want it. Note to the owner you hired someone who works at an ice cream froyo place and doesn’t know what a sundae is. Next, you hired someone who doesn’t even listen to the customer and says no to everythig they ask. Please train him again he is asian has glasses and a round face and worked this past Sunday night. Thank you

3.5 stars. The bubble tea tastes pretty fake, but I still like it. It really varies because I usually see a different face behind the counter every time I come here. I do like the bingsoo, but it doesn’t taste that fresh. This is a nice place to relax and rest up before stepping outside again, especially during the summer. Expect uncomfortable looks from Asians when you walk in. Man, people just blatantly eyeball you there.

Loved the green tea bubble tea, they let me customize it to no bubbles in my bubble tea, service was pretty good, just wish they had a non dairy option, I saw on the menu they had a dairy free option for teas like bubble tea, but when I asked the guy if I could have a dairy free option in my bubble tea he said that isn’t available, otherwise, the bubble tea was delicious, I noticed the employee making my drink used a vitamin blender, very high quality high speed blender, my drink was well blended and smooth, definitely worth the money, will be returning to try other flavors. Good environment, great place to just grab a cup of tea with a group of friends.

Absolutely love this place, especially their Bingsoo desserts. The menu have a great various choice of korean drinks and desserts. The shop is pretty big with lots of sitting and free wifi. Services is fast and the people who work there are friendly and very helpful. I will be visiting this place more often from now on.

Most unsatisfying patbingsoo I have ever had. Ice is too rough. Skimped out on fruits. Presentation is crap. Save your $ 8.

Come here if: 1) You want to brush up on your Korean. 2) Play Jenga with missing blocks. 3) If you want to learn Korean. 4) If you want to check out Koreans(you creep of the Yellow Fever species) 5) If you want to order the Red Bean Smoothie or the Kiwi Banana Smoothie. 6) If you want to be surrounded by giggling FOBs. Google that.

Came here craving good bingsoo, but was left disappointed. My boyfriend and I shared the red bean bingsoo and it was just okay. It came with a variety of fruit — bananas, watermelon, strawberry, peaches, kiwi — red beans, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. The peaches were definitely canned and some of the fruits didn’t go well together. Overall, overpriced and disappointing.

I’m the type of people that will literally get the same thing over and over again if it’s good. And I am obsess with their bingsoo so it was a every week sort of thing over the summer. So excited that the winter is now almost gone so I can continue on my bingsoo binge. Green tea of course. The best part is I can be the picky type and ask what I want and don’t want on my bingsoo and they always accommodate my annoyingness. Thank you for indulging on my bingsoo addiction: D

Walked here on a freezing night to get my favorite ginger tea and they were closed! It was a couple minutes before midnight. No idea if they changed their hours or what. :(

Between Hours(after you figure out what the actual name of this place is since there are like 3 different names on their storefront) is a nice chill place for a snack and to relax/read/work on a computer/play board games. It’s a good space to get some work done alone or hang out with others. It has drinks of all kinds of from coffee to smoothies to bubble tea as well as self serve froyo and Korean shaved ice. FYI — If you’re just getting froyo though and don’t want to do any of the above, then price wise and selection wise, it makes more sense to get froyo across the street.

This is my favorite place to study because: — FREE unlimited wifi — spacious table and desk surfaces — abundant seating and electric outlets — open late — board games I recommend: Coconut Milk Bubble Tea — so creamy and coconut-ty, perfect flavor and sweetness Kimbap — $ 5.45 for one roll, which is a big portion, made on the spot Lavazza Coffee — perfect amount of cream and sugar Frozen Yogurt — plain tart and pistachio are my favorites(I am a yogurt snob and I think their froyo meets my standards for creaminess and tartness — no poor quality, watery, ice crystalline yogurt here!) Study Tips: During the daytime, the café is very quiet and empty. The music is calmer in the day too. At night, there are lots of college kids hanging out and the music is significantly louder and upbeat, so bring headphones to block out the noise when studying. Try Something New!?: I mixed my remaining half of ginger tea with my half remaining coconut milk bubble tea and it’s surprisingly tasty.

This used to be my favorite place for my sweet tooth besides froyo but this place just disappoints me now. As for the atmosphere, I don’t mind the loud college kids coming to hang out but the desserts have gone down hill. The boba drinks/smoothies are super sweet, and just taste like candy. I used to love all their bingsu’s, my favorite was the green tea but the last few visits, the portion shrunk and the ice was melting before i even started chowing down. I guess ill just stick to my froyo dessert from now on.

they updated the interior. looks like. i especially like how they opened up the computer seating. they had too many seats reserved for the comp people in the past. they even added froyo machines(about 3 machines with 6 flavors i think) for .42 cents an ounce. they have a lot of toppings too. they also added kimbap, ham sandwich, and dukbokgi snacks. buuuuut the young boy and girl who worked there have noooooo customer service. you gotta train the employees. it’s a cool place but they lost a star for lack of service.

Red bean smoothie! This is the best drink Between Hours has to offer. Their milk tea is on the sweet side and the boba is subpar. I’d stick with their red bean smoothie. You’ll want to bring cash for anything under $ 5.
