CVS Pharmacy

This CVS is great. Someone is always there to greet you when you walk in an offer assistance. The check out lines are all self check out which I don’t mind. Plus, there is a always someone close by so if you need help, they are there to keep things moving.

I used to really enjoy going to this CVS because of the convenient location and the size of the store (it has a lot) but after seeing the unprofessionalism of the pharmacists, I’ll be going elsewhere. I dealt specifically with Janice, who after 25 minutes of trying to figure out some insurance information due to a faulty computer claimed that I had «wasted her time.» I was frazzled that someone would treat a customer that way and said that it was unprofessional to speak to a customer that way to which she responded «Well you started it.» When I returned the next day to be refunded for the prescription, she said «Oh so you finally figured out your insurance?» I was mortified and walked out without responding.
I know that everyone has their off days but there is no reason to be disrespectful to a customer or claim that they wasted your time. I witnessed another customer experience similar unprofessionalism right next to me and wish I had said something to her when she was denied a prescription. I sincerely hope that management speaks to the pharmacists and works to help them with their behavior because customers who are trying to receive prescriptions should not have to worry about rudeness. In the world we live in where so much negativity occurs, we should all have empathy towards one another.

It’s an alright store, your average CVS. I always get greeted when I come in. However there is a lack of checkout lines. It’s all do it yourself lines. The pharmacy has always been pretty good and I have had great service there. Offers a wide selection of in store products. Their food too is actually pretty good.

This is my neighborhood CVS and I come here almost every day to grab one thing or another. Every time I go, I leave saying that I need to write them a good review on Unilocal and I always forget. Now, I’m finally remembering. The people who work here are so friendly — like friendlier than they have to be. Each time I walk in, I’m greeted with a smile and a friendly person who wants to help me find whatever I’m looking for. It’s such a refreshing change from most stores. Absolutely love having this as my neighborhood store.

It’s a regular large-​size CVS location. It’s got everything you would expect to find at a CVS. It locates right at BU students area, thus it’s always busy. The line for the self-​checkout is often long. Yet, the turnaround is quite quick. The only thing that I feel uncomfortable with this CVS is the unfriendliness of the staff. I have been here many times, and I have never been greeted/​offered to help out/​smiled at by any of the staff. Once, I bought a lot of things so I went to the counter instead of the self-​checkout. The staff at the counter was so rude to me. She acted as if I was wasting her time. I know I can’t be picky about a CVS, and this is the closest one to my house, but it would have been much nicer to see some smiley faces.

I won’t come back this cvs anymore, this night I went there to buy some stuffs then I check my rewards coupon and try to use it. Then the old Indian guy came over me and call me suspect and bring me to counter and say like I’m suspect, it’s make me feel so bad. I’m one of cvs fan club but not for this locatin. Never

Meh, it’s a CVS. Since first going there, the place has gotten a lot better. Most awkward moment that I can say happened was when I watched an employee and her manager get into a full on shouting match while I awkwardly tried to escape with my dishwashing soap and laundry detergent.

The pharmacy is not great. The main pharmacist is very nice and helpful; however, some of the younger workers come off as confused and/​or unprofessional. I know that they are probably just starting out in the field, which is why I try to be patient. But some of them have given me really condescending attitudes even though they were the ones making mistakes. Once, I walked up to the counter and said I had a prescription to refill. Before I could say what the medication was, the guy working said «is it birth control?» I guess because I am a young woman he automatically assumed that’s what it was. I thought it was really unprofessional. But, on a positive note, the hours are really good.

I honestly cannot understand how hard it can be to tell me whether or not the order I placed in the Kiosk will go through. I asked for help, and the first gentleman told me to come back in an hour (while walking away in the midst of answering my question, «Is it okay if the receipts that printed are barely legible? I think you’re out of ink.»). The second associate that I tried to hand their copy of the receipt to told me that he didn’t think the machine was working, and that it probably wouldn’t go through but that it might. When I told him that wasn’t really a clear answer, he proceeded to write the store’s number down on their copy of the receipt, said they didn’t need it, and told me to call back in about 45 minutes and they’ll let me know if they can be printed.
Wait…what? Uh, okay.
I call back. and a woman answers the phone. She puts me on hold saying she is going to check, then within the same second picks back up and re-​answers the phone thinking I’m another customer. I tell her it’s still me for the photos, and she puts me on hold. Three more seconds and she picks up and asks me what I’m holding for (now, I’m thinking this chick is on drugs). She says «Oh, right.» before picking up to scold me for not leaving a receipt. When I explained what the associate had done, she told me that was «stupid» but that my photos were ready.
I drove down to pick them up, waited about five minutes with my credit card in hand to pick them up before approaching an associate and asking for my photos. A blonde larger girl rolled her eyes, handed me my photos, said «You’re all set» and walked away. So, on the bright side my photos were free-​but when I opened them there were black streaks on half of them!
Moral of the story: use Shutterfly. Never again last minute will I wait until the last minute to print out my precious photos-​or go here.

Good enough. Convenience factor high. Guest experience moderate. Decent selection. Little variety.

I use this CVS as my main pharmacy/​drugstore, and I can say that I’ve never really had any real problems. I’ve always been able to get my prescriptions in timely manners, it’s big and has a good selection of merchandise, and their food section is surprisingly good and everything is pretty fresh and clean. It’s close to two T stops and is open pretty late, so I’d say its convenient.
The one thing I do frequently encounter are issues with the self-​checkout. While there is usually a worker there to help me out, it does get pretty annoying from time to time. Other than that, I’m a fan.

Pharmacy is great, but you have to get the pharmacist as she is the most professional. I got my flu shot here, everything was very clean and quick.
Unfortunately, the self checkout machines freeze, and the staff are very overwhelmed. It seems unclear as to what the duties are when one staffer came to help me and the other said quite sternly, «I’ve got it, I can do this» and I had to wait even longer while she was helping someone else with the self checkout machines… ugh.

It’s pretty convenient but everything seems overpriced.

Since this is in a college-​y area, they don’t always have my prescription on hand. Womp womp.

Blah. What a drag.
I went to process a couple photos… lady said they would be ready in an hour. I come back after grocery shopping and she said she forgot all about me.
So here I am … 30 minutes later, sitting here… waiting… and waiting.

CVS serves its purpose for getting things in a pinch.
For the most part I’ve never had any issues popping in and out getting what I need, but I’m a bit annoyed with their photo department. The few times I’ve got photos printed there I’ve always had to come back the next day. CVS advertises ONE HOUR PHOTO and they’ve never had my photos ready in an hour. In this age of technology, I find that a little ridiculous when its a service they’ve been offering for several years.

I went into CVS today to buy some Mucinex D for the first time, which I had to buy through the pharmacy. I saw the $ 12 priced one and grabbed the card above to bring to the pharmacist. She rang it up as $ 27 and I said «that seems expensive» and she said «yup.» So I thought to myself «I bet I just misread the sign, it probably really is $ 27.» So I paid it. On my way out, I looked at the pricing again and saw that there was really was a $ 12 option and the card that I took must have been in the wrong spot!
My problem is that when I tried to return my very expensive Mucinex D for the less expensive one, they wouldn’t let me because of «government regulations.» Even though it was a minute after I bought it, and the receipt clearly said «Returns with receipt thru 01÷11÷2011» they said no.
They should have told me that this item was non-​returnable before I bought it. I would have thought twice about paying such a high price for it. It should also NOT say on the receipt that I am able to return the product. I’m very disappointed with CVS for not being clear about their policies before letting their customers buy such items. They really let me down.

This CVS is pretty big and recently remodeled. It has a larger frozen section and even some to-​go food options like sandwiches and salads. It’s also nice that they have 4 self-​checkout stands.
My only bad experience was when my sister tried to purchase some discounted tights and the cashier was super rude. Rather than checking the aisle to see the discount tag, he insisted my sister was wrong. Even when she went herself to bring him the tag, he still acted as if she was wrong. She wasn’t, and it was so frustrating she left without buying anything.

This is an enormous CVS. It has everything a CVS should have, plus a sizable housewares/​seasonal/​toy aisle and a good selection of greeting cards. Because it’s in a more residential area, it tends to have more home décor-​oriented seasonal things, like wreathes and flower pots, than some other stores. And like one of the other CVS stores I reviewed, there’s usually a decent bit of stuff on after-​holiday markdown. At the ones near college campuses, the 50% off candy is raided first thing in the morning after a holiday.
This CVS’s makeup department restocks infrequently, so you might have to go elsewhere if you need something immediately. I saw the Revlon eye singles empty except for one shattered purple for at least a month. Some of their items are in really weird places. For example, they have travel-​size in three different sections in three different aisles.
That said, CVS in general is a ripoff, so I only go in here for things like prescriptions, Hallmark cards, candy, and emergency items. (I hate American Greetings cards.)
Finally, be careful crossing their driveway to the front door. People speed in and out of the parking lot like they’re on an empty road, and they pay no mind to pedestrians. It’s really dangerous.

I agree with Allix. This review is regarding the pharmacy staff in particular. They are extremely unprofessional and lack privacy. I can hear everyone’s prescriptions and addresses. They are very rude, condescending, and disrespectful. In addition to that, they always forget to fill prescriptions.
The only pharmacist who is somewhat helpful is the Asian woman with the short haircut. She seems to take her job seriously.
*The regular store staff is great, and they always open extra lines if there seems to be a problem. The one old manager guy is somewhat rude, but that’s about it. Everyone else has been pretty helpful.
