In terms of Indian food, they taste pretty much the same wherever you go. Punjab Palace is stand out from others places. 1) Their food is not as salty or not as much MSG(compare to most places like kebob factory in Cambridge); 2) they don’t have buffet but they have good lunch menu with great price, so you won’t over eat yourself. I have tried many Indian restaurants in Boston, it seems that this has the best flavor so far. Good food with good service, give it a try. The only problem is that it’s not easy to find parking in the area, however I have seen many people order to take out.

I regularly have food delivered from Punjab Palace(and have eaten at the restaurant a few times). I am happy to be a repeat customer. I’ve order chicken vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, onion naan, pakora, samosa, biryani, and saag(not their strongest dish). The food is fresh and very flavorful — good size portions, too. I noticed over the last couple of deliveries they don’t include the three chutneys/sauces(cilantro, tamarind, and spicy onion) but only one or two. In any event, it doesn’t stop me from ordering from this restaurant.

Good take away. Quick and easy. I don’t know if it was the take away that made it miss that special something in the curry. My garlic nahn was tasteless.

Nice Indian food in Allston! Chicken tikki masala a bit creamy. The rice was very nice. The aloo gobi was very nice. Service was slow however. Good prices.

I had ordered food from here. The appetizer plate was good. The chicken was tender and juicy. I also ordered goat curry. It was just awesome. It was spicy and the goat meat was very tender. The service is bit slow(It took me an hour to get the food, ordered through )

I agree with other Unilocalers that this is a great place for quick and flavorful take out. Their vegetarian samosas, naan and coconut lamb korma were fantastic. The korma was especially good as it was very thick and packed with all the aromatic spices and dreamy velvety coconut milk. The lamb was extremely tender and pulled apart easily a top the steamy, fluffy basmati rice. Everything arrived piping hot and the prices are reasonable and in line with others around town. Very convenient that you can order directly through the Unilocal page!

This place serves pretty authentic Indian food. The dishes are simple, clean and yet loaded with flavor. I’ve ordered food from here countless times(over 50) and they’ve rarely disappointed me. It’s a small place and gets crowded during the weekend so arrive/reserve a table early.

The best delivery Indian you can get. I often order-in for Indian and had been searching for a decent place that was inexpensive, so I was overwhelmed to find such a tasty place available from my online app ordering services. The bases/sauces are always rich and savory. The proteins and bread are skillfully cooked, neither over nor under done. You can tell they take pride in their work with plenty of time and attention. For delivery, this is amazing. Their long selection of dishes is also unmatched in neighboring restaurants. They have been running specials for months and keep remaining less expensive than their more generic-tasting peers, on top of it all. While I cannot speak to their restaurant’s appearance and I have certainly had better Indian food near India, this is as good as it gets for the Boston area since Tamarind Bay has gone out of business. Highlights: Garlic Naan, Chicken Madras, Fish Coconut, Anything Korma, Lamb Vindaloo, Goat Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, and Samosas of any sort.

Nan — $ 2.95 Paneer nan — $ 3.95 Bhindi masala — $ 12.95 Goat coconut with bone — $ 14.95 Punjab Palace has a substantial goat menu. Everything we ordered was super flavorful, and the nan was fluffy and fresh. They also give you pappadam.

We ordered delivery from here and I have to say, it did not disappoint! Much better than the other Indian restaurant we tried earlier in the week. We ordered chicken tikka masala, sheekh kabob, naan and garlic naan. If this review was just for the chicken tikka masala, I would give it 5 stars because it was just that good! Portion is a bit small though but it is so worth it because it is absolutely delicious! The sheekh kabob was ok, I didn’t like it that much because it had a very strong meat taste and was red in color instead of brown lol. My husband really liked it though and that thought it was delicious. Excellent food! Cannot wait to try other things on their menu

Was feeling something other than seafood today so I decided to check out the Indian Food in Boston. Ordered a Mango Lassi that was delicious and hit the spot on a warm summer day. My naan, rice, and chicken saag came out to around $ 12 and could have fed two people instead of one with leftovers for the next day. Not quite as sweet saag as I expected or have had in the past, but the service was good and so was the food. Only suggestion to any manager reading this would be for more communication on the floor, I was asked for my order, told the waiter I needed more time, and not 30 seconds later a different waiter asking me the same thing. Also I used the restroom before I left and when I came back to get my to go bag and glasses my place was being cleared. Not terrible, but also not very professional. Talking is key in the front of house, my only reason for 4 stars.

This review is long overdue, but when I went to college in Boston this was my favorite restaurant in the city. Me and my friends would come for the lunch specials on weekends which were $ 10 and absolute feasts. I think Indian food can be weak in the US but this place absolutely kills it and at a great price All the dishes are incredibly flavorful. I love the sauces they bring out at the beginning with the thin crunchy bread. The red sauce with onions we devour every time. The naan comes fresh piping hot out of the oven. For main dishes I love the Madras(great citrus, spicy flavor), Tikka Masala(yes this is kind of the go-to Americanized Indian dish, but they make is so damn well here), I could name more but everything is fantastic The service here is impeccable. The servers are all great guys, extremely attentive and our water glasses are always filled This place is a Boston establishment and puts to shame other Indian food in the US

This is probably my favorite Indian place to eat at or to get takeout from. They give you these chips and 3 different types of chutney and they all have distinct yummy tastes!(They include this in takeout, which is awesome) Chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and naan are my go-to’s. If you like cilantro and loads of garlic, go for the garlic naan(I can’t do cilantro, so this was a no-go for me). The chicken tikka masala is so creamy and when you ask for spicy, they really know how to turn up the heat! So GOOD! The place is adorable and comfortable. The waiters are friendly and bring your food fast! Always a good place to meet up with friends.

I had a very large order(6 dishes plus naan) for a work luncheon at noon. I expected the food to be delivered at 12:15pm(since they open at 11:30am and it typically takes 45 – 60 minutes), but the food arrived shortly after 11:30am! The food itself was hot and delicious. We order two hot dishes(chicken curry and lamb vindaloo) which had some heat, but not as much as we expected. All in all, a lot of happy coworkers!

Coming from Australia, I’ve had a really hard time finding good Indian food which matches up to the quality back home. But I think I have. We got delivery last night, and ordered the dinner for 2. The coconut soup wasn’t to my taste, but I wanted to try something new. I’m sure it was a good one, I just didn’t like it. The samosas were great — the filling was the perfect consistency. The naan had a beautiful smoky flavor to it. Amazing. But the tandoori. Incredible. I nearly choked when I breathed in some of the oil, but that’s only because I wasn’t expecting an actual spice. But it was perfect. I can’t fault them on it at all. We’ll definitely be making this one our new regular!

A++ service. On a Thursday night, we were the only patrons of Punjab Palace and the level of service was phenomenal. Case in point: my man only took a sip of water and I didn’t even touch my glass. After we ordered, both our glasses had water refilled nearly to the brim. My man and I looked at each other funny. Throughout dinner, we had at least 3 different waiters ask how we were finding the food. The experience here is 150% different than our time at Brookline’s Shan-A-Punjab restaurant. Appetizer Rec: ++Garlic naan– homemade bread stuffed with fresh garlic and spices. Ohhh you will definitely taste the garlic my friends. Great for dipping with curry. It comes out piping hot! Entrée Recs: ++Chicken tikka masala-white tandoori boneless chicken cooked in tomatoes and creamy sauce. If you’re a spice fan, don’t go for medium. Medium won’t be hot enough for you :) ++Lamb curry-cubes of lamb cooked with onions, tomatoes, fresh ginger, garlic and spices. Lamb was fantastic, liked it better than the chicken since it was less dry. Atmosphere is on the fancier side with a bar, flowers on the table, and the place dimly lit. Great for date night and catching up in a classier place. Entrees average ~$ 13 – 15.

I’ve been craving Indian food for weeks so when we didn’t have concrete dinner plans, I gave in, Unilocaled the best/closest place and ordered takeout. THISFOODWASDELICIOUS. I only got chicken tikka masala, vegetable Samosas, basmati rice and naan, but everything was great. Granted, chicken tikka masala is the most basic white girl Indian food and it’s hard to mess up, but this was great. Not oily, not dry chicken, just cooked perfectly and tasted great. Parking on the street was tricky, but I ran in and was greeted by like 6 waitors who were all dressed up and checked me out super fast. Next time — and there will be a next time– I’ll be going in because it looked like a classy place and the downtown begs a post-dinner stroll.
