Very tasty hot dogs and a fair amount of place to eat-​in, wide selection of toppings.

I ate here because I needed a vegan hotdog, I am not sure how vegan it is but they promised it was vegan. It is still the best vegan dog I’ve ever had. Many try to do vegan dogs, but none can compare.

Good food if you want something unhealthy.
Suggest the chilli cheese fries and the hot dogs for sure!

This is a really good «Grab & Go» or just a «late night» eat. Hits the spot if your in the mood for hot dogs they do it right, good verity of specialty Dogs, & there’s other things like wings & chicken sandwiches ect. If your ever in the area you should check it out.

Far… far less diarrhea than Bön Chon. I also ate Bön Chon earlier in the afternoon, so I can’t tell if it was their hotdogs or a second wave of my stomach saying I hate you. Pretty good dogs though…4 Stars! The staff said goodbye and we never exchanged pleasantries beforehand so I appreciated that.

I remember I always went there for my lunch when I was working in Boston. It was cheap and tasty. The curly fries were so good. At that time, Spike’s was new. I am glad that there is still Spikes on the same spot.

Have driven past for years… stopped in for the first time this week. Friendly staff… fast service… overall good food and a good value.

This place is so delicious! My friend and I got 4 dogs and loved them all. The dog had a good flavor to it while also being good in size. My favorite was the chili cheese dog! Fries were good as well.

Will definitely visit again.
Small but very clean and cozy establishment. Love the retro/​jcar themed décor and the sink in the middle of the condiment island is a nice touch, especially when you realize your beard is covered in cheese and chili. Service was fast and friendly. came with four friends, we each placed seperate orders and recieved all our food within 10 minutes.
I got «The Patriot Dog». Mustard, bacon, and cheese and I added sauteed onions, and «Junkyard Fries» IE chili cheese. The dogs are tasty and huge but the buns are hearty and properly sized so imo the ratio is perfect. Big points for serving a single dog that’s big enough to be fill you up on its own without sides. I was a little disappointed that the cheese overwhelmed all the other toppings on the dog. This is also the first time I’ve ever complained about too MUCH cheese. The fries were good, but not spectacular. It’s silly to expect world class chili in a hot dog place, but I was hoping for a little bit of punch and flavor. All in all a good meal, if not one I could make at home with very little effort or mess. They have an extensive menu and lots of interesting combos so I’ll be back.

These are good hot dogs (all beef) with excellent sides in a fun atmosphere with friendly help. It’s better than normal fast food and a nice change of pace. Indoor seating, not expensive… I like it here!

Welcomed by a friendly guy. Ordered the Junkyard Dog and Junkyard Fries. The dog itself is big and has plenty of toppings. This is a must visit if you’re looking for a great dog and /​or just «happen to be in the area» ;)
PS — It’s really small inside but don’t let that scare you off. They are quick, the service is impeccable, and the food is great.

Great hot dogs! I, particularly, love the Patriots Dog! It is very tasty, and the curly fries are fun to eat. The place is small but very particular, you can see pictures of a hot dog contest with all the people that can eat more than 6 dogs. The price is very reasonable.

The best hotdog in Massachusetts. My all time favorite thing is the chili cheese dog with Curley fries, or even chili cheese fries which are also bomb. All the hot dogs are really good and there are basically every topping so it can get fun. The buns are amazing, they really make the dog. Only decision i usually have to make is one or 2 chili cheese dogs.

Servers were nice good selection of burgers and dogs however I ordered a burger and a dog when I left I realized it was two burgers and they were both lousy extremely dry lacking flavor, I hear there hot dogs are good. Disappointed overall. Nice service though

Best place to get a hotdog in Boston. I ordered the Texas Ranger and was quite pleased! Although the size of the hotdog was a bit disappointing, the taste was fantastic.

Ordered the T-​bird sandwich. The chicken was bland and portion sizes were smaller than other fast food joints.
I wouldn’t eat here even if I were drunk…

It’s just not my kind of hot dog. First of all, it’s too big, it throws the ratios off. I’d rather have 2 smaller hot dogs than one jumbo one with messed-​up ratios of bread to toppings to processed meat. Ratios are important, people!
The flavor of the hot dogs is fine, but I’ve had better hot dogs that I’ve cooked myself. In other words, there’s nothing spectacular about them. They are encased in a dry, dry, dry baseball bat of a french baguette wannabe. I’ve had hot dogs in actual baguettes before, and they’re heavenly. This is not. It’s friggen dry! I can’t tell if any crispiness is from the original baking process or if the bread is so dry it has lost the ability to hold together anymore. You could load it up with toppings to try to compensate but the ratios will still be off, and it’ll cost you.
I guess the curly fries are good if you’re super into them. They’re nothing special in my opinion.
$ 7-​$ 10 for a meal at a hot dog place? For a hot dog with MESSED UP RATIOS? Nope. Nopenope.

I like a plain dog on a big roll and just a slab of ketchup. I love that they use a giant bread roll instead of those dinky wet frankfurter rolls you see at the store. Get me real bread with meat inside! Spikes provides!
Not to mention the amazing non-​seasoned curlies (poodle fries) and the chili cheese dogs my boyfriend is addicted to.
Cheap meats at 1 in the morning are always satisfying.

Expensive delivery fee.
Delicious hot dogs, but it’s tricky to eat so that you get all the toppings, and the hot dog! I definitely would have the poodle fries again. Not a bad random takeout option if you’re craving epic hot dogs.
